The Royal Continental is right on Naples' seafront promenade, in a quiet neighborhood. It features a stunning rooftop pool, with panoramic views out over the Bay of Naples and Castel dell'Ovo.
Score from 1756 reviews Very good
Created by Kenzo Tange and Associates, the Romeo is across from the ferry port for Capri and Ischia. The hotel features stylish rooms, a rooftop pool overlooking Naples Harbour, and a modern spa.

You can admire the beautiful sea view from the terrace at Hotel Excelsior. It is close to the beach and marina in the heart of Naples.

The best hotel we have stayed in. Amazing facilities, location, staff you wouldn't be disappointed.
Very good place. Clean, confortable, nice and historic. A peaceful place in the cahotic Naples.
Nothing to declare :)
Staff very helpful, friendly & polite
Had difficulty getting to the hotel due to one way system & hotel front being on a pedestrianized road.
Hotel is on the waterfront. Close to various piazzas
Found beds hard. Not use to that
The Maître d at the roof-top restaurant is snobbish and he needs to improve his manner.
Loved the staff, the overall quality of the hotel is perfect. The location is also great!
Unfortunately, we had some inconsiderate guests next door that were very loud & made a terrible disturbance at 2:00 am in the morning for a few hours.
I've been around the world. This is one of the best.
I loved everything about the Hotel. Staff, accommodations, locations, facilities, and everything you could want available
no outdoor pool
Clean, very friendly staffs, quiet and high quality of the facilities!
The location is very accessible and has a great view. The Staff are welcoming.
I Loved everything about it. Rooms are huge and spotless. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's Opulent and hasn't become tired like some old high end hotels.
You have to pay for the pool €15, which is extreme I think. Roof bar isn't very well stocked.
I was promised a room with a view of the water, when I checked in, I was told that because I booked through a third party(booking.com) that wasn't possible unless I forked over another hundred euro. The odd thing was that while I was checking in, a woman walked in without a reservation. She got a room with a view of the water and paid less than I did.(and she got the free breakfast included)(40 euro each for me) The other thing that really destroyed the romantic nature of our tour of Italy was that I specifically asked about the rooftop restaurant availability. I based my reservation on it. Their website uses it on their main page. I was told quite bluntly that the restaurant was reserved for a private party and that I needed to make other dinner arrangements. I would recommend staying at any number of hotels in Naples for 3 nights for what it will cost you for one night at the Grand Vesuvio. Totally ruined my last night in Italy.
swimming pool was not accesable unless you pay 25 euro per person.. that was not clear while booking
The courtesy of all the staff was excellent throughout our stay. One really felt looked after and welcome.
Not staying long enough
Staff was excelkent. Efficient and friendly
Room a bit run down Exchange rate for currency was ridiculously low.
Location, staff and bedrooms
restaurant, lovely view mediocre food. and expensive. soulless public areas,
the Hotel is getting old
Room on 7th floor with view of sea and castle was excellent. Road in front is basically pedestrianised and becomes a noisy, lively promenade in the evening with buskers and lots of wedding parties having photos taken. Hotel is within walking distance of old Naples and several good restaurants close by.
Swimming pool should be free - not 15 euros. If you use hotel parking ask for car in advance as it can take a while for the concierge to get it out of the garage.
we couldn't book a table at the roof top restaurant
Breakfast was very poor. They wanted us to pay extra 8EUR for eggs when they stated on the booking that the breakfast was included. If you wanted to use the pool you need to pay an extra 15 euro per person as well.
we had he most wonderful three days at this hotel. everything was top notch!
