Absolutely everything, the staff went out of their way to accommodate your every need. Hotel is flawless.
The ease of access to the City centre with the shuttle was excellent. It was a once in a lifetime trip for us and we enjoyed seeing the splendour at the hotel but it wasn't really us.
No tea or coffee facilities in room - as you get older it is nice to not have to ask for everything although obviously plenty of people don't mind.
The concierge helped us secure last minute museum tickets & dinner reservations. The rooms were spacious & beautifully decorated down to the very small details. The staff left us little treats too every night, it was a very lovely gesture. The property as a whole houses some of the most beautiful rooms and hall in Florence
The food served at the breakfast buffet was fresh but a little lacking on hot meals.
Hotel is fantastic.
The restaurant is nothing special and doesn't deserve its relais&chateaux status in my opinion. Location is a bit far from city center - 25min walk, but the area is nice and green.
We loved being able to escape to Villa Cora after being in the crowds for the day. The staff were always ready to accommodate your wishes. They helped arrange dinner reservations and were able to get us in to places that were full. Staying at the five star hotel but not having to endure crowds of guest was a plus.
The room was luxurious and well attended but the walls were thin and allowed you to hear your neighbor.
The architecture of the villa and the facilities
Stay was too short
Professional, excellent spa services. Beautiful main building parlor rooms. Shuttle service into city. Quiet elegance on perimeter of Florence, backing up to Boboli Gardens.
This gorgeous villa with a delicious kitchen and very friendly staff is a hidden gem right outside of Florence's city centre. The pool is wonderful and so is the spa. Overall a very relaxing and luxurious hotel. We couldn't get enough of the interior decoration and ceilings. Each room is unique!
Housekeeping forgot to refill our vanity box three times and forgot to put drinking glasses in our room twice. Minor details though which will surely be improved.
The room was out small due to old building
This hotel is absolutely outstanding! First of all, it's really gorgeous inside and out and incredibly well kept and clean. The location is just 10 minutes away from Florence so out of all the touristy chaos but still in Florence. Also the view is spectacular. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. Every detail is just amazing. And to top it off, the staff is incredible!!! We had never been to a place where absolutely everyone was so well trained, well mannered and nice as this hotel. Not even Four seasons or Ritz. By far, this is the best hotel in Florence!
Location and grounds were very attractive.
Room decor and lighting, food was very poor, definitely not a five star experience.
From the moment we arrived until the very last minute we left, everyone on the Villa Cora team could not do enough to ensure our stay was a memorable one - the level of service was outstanding as was their attention to detail in all areas - their restaurant was of Michelin standard and catered exceptional well with all my food allergies - views over Florence from the top terrace at sunset, a MUST see. Excellent Excellent Excellent
The fact we couldn't stay longer!
Loved the location, authentic Florence feel and hospitality, excellent concierge, great shuttle service , friendly,
Nothing to dislike
Spa, decor, friendliness, comfort, beauty.
Restaurant menu was unvarying. There are better restaurants to dine in Florence.
My stay at Grand Hotel Villa Cora was truly magical. The interior of the main building, the grounds and the rooms are all superb! I came to Florence to do as much sightseeing as possible, but the hotel was so beautiful including the pool area and the spa that I found myself not wanting to leave! The staff are charming, perfectly groomed and nothing is too much trouble for them. The attention to detail in every way is second to none. If you want an all round wonderful experience that makes you feel pampered I would not go past recommending Grand Hotel Villa Cora as the perfect place to stay.
Pool and the restaurant
Authentic luxury surroundings, exceptional attentiveness and care from the staff, an all round wonderful experience. The Spa was heaven and a rainy morning was spent here! The pool is fab and gives such great flexibility for a city break when you just want to relax. Courtesy shuttle is fast and efficient. Highly recommended.
Staff Pool area Restaurant Room comfortable bed
Poor shower Lack of entertainment
Staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful especially the breakfast staff nothing was too much trouble. Spa was fantastic and therapists second to none. Pool area very pretty and tranquil although very busy by the afternoon.
The behaviour of other British people who appeared to be someone's wedding guests. We are going back to the UK to apply for Irish passports as is our rite as we would not want to be associated with such loutish behaviour which kept us awake most of the night. Adjoining door between our room and theirs meant we could hear every syllable though I imagine we could have also still heard them back in England they were so loud, drunk and disgusting. It was not something anyone wanted to hear and they let themselves, their country and their hosts down. They should have gone to Magaluf and not somewhere as cultural as Florence where they clearly didn't belong.
Loved everything about the hotel. Surroundings, décor sublime, staff wonderful. Instantly relaxed the minute we arrived. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.
The fact we had to leave.
This hotel was first class, the staff were faultless, polite, caring informative and friendly but extremely professional. The hotel is absolutely amazing and would recommend the tour of the hotel to really appreciate the building. Well done to all you set a very high standard. We will be back Experience this hotel it's a must
An absolutely beautiful hotel, one of our favourites in the world. The pool is wonderful to relax by before a spot of site-seeing in Florence (a 5 min drive by the hotel shuttle), the rooftop terrace has beautiful sweeping views of Florence and the staff couldn't be more helpful. They have even set up an outdoor gym for the summer. This was our second visit and we can't wait to go back.
One of the best hotels that we have ever been to. Excellent architecture, interiors, staff, good views and attention to details. Great refinement and mangement. Fabulous. Well done to the owners of this exceptional property and hotel. A palazzo with a true sophisticated spirit.
