With a large rooftop terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Domus Mariae Albergo is right on Siracusa's seafront.

Grand Hotel Villa Politi is situated in the center of a spectacular, natural amphitheater, within the ancient Sicilian quarries known as the Latomie dei Cappuccini.
Score from 495 reviews Very good

Good location, nice walk to Ortygia's shops, sights and restaurants. Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly. Great breakfast buffet!
Leaving the place:-)
Very attractive property with spacious public areas and imaginative art work. Excellent buffet breakfast and complementary afternoon tea. Perfectly located within walking distance of both train and buses and historic Ortygia. Would definitely stay here again.
Whilst bathroom was spotlessly clean, there was a very bad smell in it (drains?) which we commented on to desk staff.
Within easy walk of the old city of Ortgia. Staff very helpful and friendly Room clean and well kept Facilities excellent, including free wifi.
The room, the staff, the price, the location
The restaurant was closed in January and that made getting a good meal an ordeal in the city as a lot was closed as well. parking on the street was ok but not our first choice
Good breakfast. We asked to change room to another with jacuzzi, and there was no problem (the room was even bigger and with a small rooftop balcony with sea view). Easy to park around and close to Ortigia.
Big bed but made out of two mattresses.
The breakfast is very very good. Good location, helpfull staff, comfortable bed. Enjoyed a lot!
Location and price.
Internet first is ok in second floor, the next day not work in upstairs , no hot water also
The location, the warmth of the hotel in all respects, hearty breakfast..a steal of a deal
...that we couldn't stay longer!
Room big and comfortable with a private balcony on the 3 rd floor
Only italian tv channels. Lack of information for foreign tourists on buses, map given was a bad photocopy!
Nice staff, good location and comfortable accomodation.
We could park our car for free just next to the hotel. Not far from Ortigia.
Breakfast was not amazing, lukewarm capuccino and the taste of water was strange
Excellent location walking distance to everywhere, don't pay extra to stay at Ortygia, this hotel is only 5 mins walking to Ortygia. Perfect staff, very helpful, always kind and smiley, especially the lady at the reception is very very welcoming, we felt like home at this place. You can have a pot of tea whenever you want and take it to your room. Spacious rooms with sea view. Perfect shower, which is really important at the end of a tiring day. We came to stay only for 1 day, at the end extended each day one more day and stayed for 3 days with our initial booking price. This hotel has been the best hotel we have stayed in a 10 days of Sicily tour.
beautiful decoration excellent service spacious
rooms with window on the street a bit noisy but nothing horrible !
Comfortable roomy building. Staff on reception very helpful. The hotel is rather apologetic about the buffet breakfast but it was splendid!
A pity they don't use the dining hall except for breakfast. We would have liked to dine there. A kettle in the room would have been appreciated.
Location, Brekfast, Stuff.
Location Parking Staff Breakfast
Wifi was weak on the second floor
Everything, the bathrooms were great, as is the location. Very good breakfast. they called a local garage to pick up and park the cars for 10 eur / nite, which worked out very well for us.
Parking is street parking.
The room was well-equipped and quite spacy, there was a third bed which doubled as a sofa. There was a tiny rooftop balcony with a view over the neighbouring buildings - great for star-gazing. The hotel was clean and stylish. It was within a walking distance of Ortygia (10-15 min).
There is no parking space that belongs to this hotel. While it may be easy on most days to find a free place on the nearby streets, we had a nightmare of an experience to do so on a Sunday evening when apparently there was a busy social event in Syracuse. It took us almost half an hour before we managed to park more than 400 m away from the hotel (and then we had to carry our luggage). The reception staff was not quite helpful in this respect. In addition, the hotel receptionist provided us with a good-for-nothing photocopied map of Syracuse, with no street names on it except the major roads (said it was very difficult at that point in time to get a decent map!) and directed us to a restaurant in the Old Town which turned out to be of dubious quality.
Location - 5 minutes and on Ortigia, 8 in other direction to bus/trains. Everything there is old, including hotel. But well mantained, clean; don't expect the Ritz, but nice, particularly for area/price. Good breakfast, helpful staff.
Very helpful staff. Great location (5 min walk to old town of Ortigia, easy parking in late October). Very charming hotel (high ceilings, palace converted into hotel), decorated with excellent taste. Nice room and bathroom, good size, very clean. Very good breakfast with some traditional food (ricotta, mozzarella, etc), very helpful staff.
Spacious room with high ceiling. It was the best hotel that we stayed in Sicilia
Location of the hotel. Near to the old city and you can also walk to the Roman ruins.
Hotel sandwiched in between two busy in and out of town roads. They are noisy and fast running. Get a room not overlooking the streets if possible. Breakfast was very ordinary and could have been so much better.
The staff were SO helpful; the breakfast was good and the overall standard of the hotel was excellent.
