Location and very friendly staff - great food and service in the restaurant. 2nd visit to this hotel and will return again!
This hotel was amazing. The rooms were clean and large. The loaction was too far from the city center to walk, but the hotel provided a great free shuttle that had a very convenient schedule.
The view, the breakfast, the grounds, the service people, the balcony....it's a beautiful place. Got a great deal by watching the prices. Best hotel during our stay in Italy.
Far from center of town.
It was a very clean beautiful facility. The breakfast also was very good. We loved our stay there!
Distance from the heart of the city but the shuttle system was quite good
The quality of service Attention to detail Amazing views Fabulous restaurant
Our room was under a service area so a little noisy at times
Nice view to the Napoli bay. Friendly staff. Good & rich breakfast. Exelent restaurant for diner. Large room.
A bit far from city center. But hotel have shuttle services.
* Reception staff was very helpful and kind. * We came with a 1 y/o baby who made a mess in every breakfast and they were great about it. * Baby's bed was set up in an adorable fashion, with fresh sheets every odd day. * Room was tidy daily. * Bed was very comfortable * View from room and from the bar was great. * Shuttle service to downtown and back was great and the drivers were very kind. Every round hour it goes downtown, and every mid-hour it goes back up. This nullified the downside of it not being downtown. * Plenty of parking for free (we had a SW to park) - some at the hotel driveway, more across the street (twenty steps tops).
* You have to go up 10 stairs to get to the lobby from the street level. * Breakfast didn't have soft cheese. This seems to be a problem all throughout Italy, though. * Seriously that's about it.
Water pressure in the Shower.
The views over the bay were fantastic and nice to be a bit outside of the busy town. All the staff were friendly, professional and very helpful.
The sunbed area was fairly small but there was only a few people using them so it wasnt really a problem
Very good breakfast, also food in the restaurant/snack bar very tasty and at reasonable prices, very kind personel, beautiful pool area (free sunbeds and towels) absolutely fantastic views from hotel on the sea and Sorrento! Very convenient free shuttle bus to and from city centre! Rooms very clean and comfortable. We loved our stay there and would definitely recommend Grand Hotel Aminta!
The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.
We were initally given a garden view room which was very dark and cold, we asked to move and within 4 days they managed to re-locate us to a room on the 2nd floor which had a balcony and views. It was much nicer just a shame we had to spend the first few days of the holiday in the garden room.
The food & service was fantastic. The waiting staff were so professional & some of the best food we had while staying in sorrento was at the hotel.
Bus service break from 12.30 to 3.30 & no 10.30pm pick ups from town was a pain at times as the walk back was nigh on impossible as it was way up the hill. One of the reception staff was unhelpful when we tried to book a taxi to the airport giving 15 hours notice as the company they used was fully booked. When I asked her if any other companies ran a service she said no. However an older lady on reception said she would try to find an alternative. I could tell the other girl was annoyed at her for doing so. But she found one with one phone call. Apart from that all the staff were great.
Very clean, friendly and helpful staff, food lovely, free shuttle bus, great location, all round excellent hotel!
Excellent reception staff -very helpful. Welcoming and efficient restaurant and bar staff.
The location, the staff, the cleanliness, the views (the view from our room 223 was stunning, overlooking Sorrento. Ask for a pool side view). The free bus into town was a Godsend - the walk down is fine, the walk back up difficult.
I'm struggling! The safe if free but it is tiny. You wouldn't get an SLR camera in there. There is a minibar but again, it's tiny (there's no room for your own stuff). The bed and pillows are a bit hard. It's very easy to spend a lot of money.
My draughts wedding was held in the hotel and most of us stayed a week there. I cannot find any fault, it was perfect. Location, rooms, service, food and staff done everything you would expect and a lot more. Our wedding party had 58 guests ranging from 3 to 83 and I did not hear one complaint, wonderful. I thoroughly recommend this Hotel and staff
clean, comfortable, professional service, good transportation links. food very reasonable. Great views.
evening dining too formal for young children (though easy to find somewhere outside hotel). Other guests seemed to be mainly elderly cruise package or similar vacationers that did not match a young familly
Beautiful views, convenient shuttle bus service although really should have 1030pm service, outdoor bar and lounge area, helpful reception staff who recommended a great restaurant, good location to Sorrento and easy to get to Amalfi coast, free parking although quite limited.
Breakfast was very basic for the rate we paid, too much sweet food and very average quality. Rooms were quite basic for the price although lovely balcony view, just needed a bit more furniture and paintings to make it feel like 4 star.
Views, location, grounds, complimentary breakfast, and shuttle service.
Pretentious vibe from some staff members and guests, awkward sized shower.
the quiet relaxing environment and access to the town
bath did not work. public toilets had no locks and doors did not close. staff did not serve drinks into the card playing area, bus stop dirty needs cleaning
Expensive and felt we got ripped off when going to Capri. But all tours worth doing. Bar staff excellent Shuffle bus great
Didn't like being herded in for breakfast as we were independent travellers not package. Felt the staff in restaurant rather abrupt.
Reception staff v. helpful Shuttle bus Breakfast - reasonable selection Large clean room
Having to depend on shuttle bus to get in to town A/C in room not great Having to pay to reserve sun lounger
We booked The Grand Hotel Aminta for our Honeymoon stay and picked it for it's position overlooking the Bay of Naples (stunning). It operated a free, reliable shuttle bus to the town centre 5-10 minutes away that ensured we could have peace and quiet at the hotel whilst able to enjoy Sorrento itself when we wanted. The room was excellent and we were given a free upgrade to sea view room upon arrival. The hotel was always very clean and the staff were always friendly and courteous. The food was excellent! We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will be definately returning in the future.
Bar area and lounge, lobby areas - nice pool
Room very shoddy dated chipped paint - too small for us and one teenager bathroom nice though Bar over priced pool too busy at times could not get a lounger no games room for teenagers
Great view and pool Great service & staff Classy hotel Great room Good value for money - we got an offer for less than 200 Euros per night
You need to take a shuttle bus to reach it from Sorrento. It runs every hour and takes 15/30 minutes one way depending on traffic.
