The position of the hotel is excellent. Just far enough from the town centre to be peaceful but close enough to stroll into town and enjoy the wide variety of restaurants. Our hotel bedroom was large, clean and had an amazing view over the Bay of Naplies. The staff at the poolside restaurant were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend the Capodimonte Hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Sorrento.

A lovely 'character' hotel. We loved all the numerous terraces and seating areas, all with fantastic views. The public areas and rooms were all very well maintained and decorated with a luxury feel, yet it still retained lots of charm and was very individual. The bathrooms were luxurious marble, with a good powerful shower. The cleaning was very thorough. The breakfasts were fantastic - a huge range of fresh fruit, individually cooked omelettes to name some of our favourites, however champagne alongside all the juices was an added bonus, drinking Bucks Fizz for breakfast overlooking the fantastic view from the dining room has to be one of the the highlights of our stay. Parking, although we had to pay for it, was an incentive for staying there, as finding a parking space in Sorrento is not easy! Although not cheap, we would certainly recommend this hotel for a special occasion. Others have commented on lack of tea/coffee facilities/ironing boards etc, although frustrating that these aren't available, we travel a lot and find this typical of hotels in Europe. The restaurant was very well staffed and beautifully presented with a phenomenal view, however it was this service and the view that was being paid for. We only ate in one evening because it was torrential rain...too wet to venture out, but Sorrento has some fantastic restaurants which provide much better food.

How to describe this hotel?? Elegant? Breathtaking views? Fabulous pools? Excellent location? Take your pick of any. Wonderful experience we shall not soon forget. You have to be very careful crossing the busy road at this location. The sidewalks are very narrow as well in this particular area. The driveway leading up to hotel entrance is on a bit of an incline and could be a chore for an elderly person to climb.

The hotel itself is a beautiful hotel, lots of marble and terraces with terrific views. I booked for a double and was given a room with two single beds (made up as single beds ) pushed together. The mattress was hard. They make you pay to use the room safe. ( Something I've never enountered before) You cannot borrow an iron. You have to pay to have an item pressed.

This is the nicest hotel we have stayed in on holiday. We are seasoned travelers who expected to stay two nights and actually reorganized our trip to extend by two more nights. I cannot imagine being in this area and staying anywhere else.

This hotel is immaculate. We have stay at many hotels and this ranks at the top for cleanliness. The location is perfect. It's a 5-15 minute walk into town, depending on where you are headed. The walk is easy & enjoyable though. You will be doing a lot of walking in this area anyway, so the walk from the hotel is nothing. I am so happy we stayed here. The view from our room (705) was amazing. Be sure to ask for a room of Vesuvius & the ocean. The morning breakfasts were very good. We had free Internet in our room. I highly recommend this hotel. The mattress & pillows were a little too firm for our liking.

The stunning panoramic views and the rooms were a nice size The reception hall is a bit dated, could do with re-vamp and the furnishings were seriosuly out of date too, I found this let the hotel down badly as yuor first impression is of the lobby and surrounding areas.

The rooms were beautiful and the view was excellent. They were a bit full of themselves. Lost 3 pieces of my laundry and it took 3 hrs for them to get back to us and we had to keep calling the front desk.

The hotel was spacious, had a fabulous view over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. Even though it was was the end of the season the staff were very attentive, helpful and polite. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

It has a great location with breathtaking views of Sorrento and the Bay of Naples even though it is a very short walk to the centre of town. The furniture and furnishings are outstanding in quality and design. The view from the dining room is hard to improve upon and most guests will have the opportunity to sit by the bay windows for breakfast to enjoy the spectacular scenery. The room was clean and comfortable. Choose a room with a view of the Bay as we did as it is well worth the extra cost. The wifi service was often disrupted and I was required to re-login quite often. Also the one dining experience I had was not very good in terms of the quality of the food. We had far better experiences dining out.

Lovely Hotel with very friendly staff It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it felt very special. The location was great and the seaview room was spectacular. 2 single beds pushed together was very poor and we did feel very let down a proper double bed on your 25th Wedding anniversary should have been a prerequisite. Such a shame as the room was fantastic otherwise

The hotel was very well located. I did not like the fact that I made a complaint and really nothing was done. The water jugs on 2 morning were cracked which I consider a health hazard and when pointed out the jug was merely put at the back of the table but not removed. We had a very good bottle of wine with lunch one day and did not feel like finishing it and when we asked them to kep it for the next day we were told we would have to bring it back to our room which meant carrying from the restaurant pass people at the swiming pool and through the hotel and bring it down with us next time. Needless to say we eat out after that. We would not return to the hotel.

The hotel was beautiful, the breakfast was great. I loved the front door! It was a beautiful layout. Staff at reception were very helpful and nice, especially in helping me to book a bus for our group to Naples. The pool was amazing even though we didn't actually have an opportunity to use it. It was nice that the downtown area was so close so we could walk everywhere we went. I was the first person in the group checked in and requested a room with a balcony. What I got was a patio about 8 feet deep with a view of a cement wall. Mostly everyone else in the group had a balcony with some type of view so I was very disappointed with that. I also did not like having to cross the VERY busy road in front of the hotel.

The location is excellent, the rooms are comfortable. Great Breakfast buffet and the pool side bar has good quality food at reasonable prices. The views are excellent and only 5 minute walk to centre of town. The room had ants which kept biting us and climbiing through our bags, staff didn't seem to care. Also they charge €3.50 a day for use of the safe (Crazy). Staff not very friendly on reception. (It's a 15 minute walk to the train station, Taxi's Charge about €17-€20 for a 3/4 mile distance so I suggest you walk. Wifi is not free

Nice views of Sorrento from room. Breakfast ok. We brought our 3month old and were charged €15 per night for cot rental. I felt this was steep especially given the quality of the cot. Other hotels we stayed in in italy provided cot for infant free of charge.
