Good location, good breakfast, fast Wifi, Friendly Staff, Good Pool and excellent views.
bad moisture smell in deluxe rooms, boiling oil in the breakfast saloon, far away from the city center,
Great location, fabulous views. Great food.
Very poor pool side service. Only male waiters-very uncomfortable for female guests. Very slow poolside service. Very small rooms.
I loved this hotel. The food, the room, the views were incredible. The staff was amazing. The piano player was great.
Not staying long enough
Sorrento is a pretty place. The views from the hotel were spectacular. The food in the restaurants were very good - particularly the pool restaurant.
Attentiveness and friendliness of staff - hotel is extremely clean - excellent quality of food
Some things when booked via the hotel (eg airport transfers) did seem a little expensive
cost of drinks & parking
Overall facilities and pools were exceptional! It felt a bit pricy when booked, but upon arrival we totally saw what we paid for and we were happy. Aspecially nice that we could enjoy the hotel after check-out (bags were stored while we still swam in pools). A separate note on sun-bathing with a view over Sorrento - fantastic!
The bed was ot a one piece but two, and then tend to split. Told to staff upon check-out: if told earlier they would fix it.
My husband and I chose this hotel to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and it did not disappoint. The rooms were well appointed, the views were spectacular, the staff were very friendly, even making a point of saying hello to us when we saw them within the town. Definitely choose a room with a sea view, you will not be disappointed. I would definitely stay here again.
Chef makes a nice omelette
Rooms Swimming Pools Hotel areas Everything!
WiFi was a little slow. Could not stream content.
Location, views, and facilities
Views , pool and bedrooms excellent.
Restaurant and food not much choice on menu. Breakfast was ok.
The check-in staff was very responsive, friendly, welcoming and gave great advice. The grounds are breath taking. We had an ocean view room with a little balcony where I would have coffee in the AM and my happy hour cocktails in the PM. Although the decor is more classic old school Italian, it was opulent yet homey.
Wait service around the pool area to order drinks/food was definitely a little slow. But that might be the impatient New Yorker in me... It's a standard Italian bed - two twin beds put together - and VERY firm.
Breakfast was very good. unfortunately food around pool area was disappointing. Meals were average and did not turn up with the what was written on menu. one meal said chips and it turned up with roast potatoes. Unfortunately they were the from the night before i think so we had to go back to chips. Salad stated balsamic vinegar or olive oil and it came out dry. I had to ask for dressing to be served. my suggestion would be to reduce size of menu and serve great quality food with a bit of care and attention to detail. Get some women on the staff out there that can do both i think!!
Great staff,great food,fantastic views.
Hotel is a little confusing as it's over a few floors !!! You need a map
Good Staff Great views
Its too big now, lost its charm. Turn off the constant music noise. In 30 years the first time we sent back bad food at the poolside. Breakfast is a shambolic experience, no grace or ease. Sadly after many years of happy memories we wont come back with our grandchildren.
The location was great for views and walking into Sorrento. We had a deluxe room with side sea view, which was great, beware the standard rooms are closer to the road and those at the back of the hotel will have a view of a wall. The pool area is lovely. The omelettes at breakfast were great.
The pool restaurant is terrible we ended up walking out as the service was so slow. Generally the hotel staff (out only positive review would be of the lifeguard who was very jolly and helpful) are not very welcoming or helpful so don't expect amazing service here it's all about the location and the views.
Lovely big room very comfortable bed, plenty of sun loungers and lovely staff
Oldish hotel but well maintained and in a great location. Pool facilities very good with spectacular views across the Bay of Naples. Staff plentiful friendly and efficient so busy times like breakfast were smooth.
view, spacious public areas, pools statf who helped me with a car problem
room, especially the only room either my wife or I have ever stayed in that did not possess a single drawer so we had to live out of our sutcases bar too cold
Excellent location - easy walk into Sorrento. Easy access to hotel car parking. Good sized room - comfy bed - spotlessly clean. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful.
Much larger hotel than we realised - we normally go for a smaller hotel although couldn't fault facilities with the exception of the Wi-Fi. Very sporadic connection - continuously having to login.
Breakfast amazing - chef on hand to cook your eggs to order and big selection of fruit/ meats/ pastries etc. We were b&b so can't comment on food at dinner but had lunch a couple of times in the pool grill bar and it was good and priced in line with other restaurants in sorrento. Extensive grill bar menu. Staff friendly and polite in all areas of the hotel and always happy to help with any query. Pool brilliant ( this is more a couples than family hotel no inflatables etc allowed in the pool) 5 cascading pools with incredible views and towels free at pool - as many as you want. Lots of terraced and private shady areas around pool also and waiter service for drinks. Rooms very well appointed and cleaned thoroughly every day. Towels changed twice a day and turn down service with chocolate on pillows! Pay extra for sea view if you can - ask for floor 5 or above to get the best views. Location of hotel is great - a 10 minute walk into piazza Tasso but far enough out to avoid the noise in town. Did I mention the views?
We didn't have any real areas of concern. It would have Been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room and breakfast room can become a bit crowded from 8.30 to 9.30 but never any problem getting a table - apart from that for us it was a near perfect stay.
