Location and the view from our room (521) were perfect. Great rooftop terrace.

Excellent location. Front desk very helpful when checking in or for any questions. Room very clean. Breakfast was great, busy, but enough for everyone. We would stay here again/recommend to anyone traveling to Florence!

- very noisy room (on rear but noise all night in alleyway) with only single-pane windows! - old bathroom fixtures; tiny shower stall - dusty room - cold (heat had been shut off) and no extra blanket - no welcome from staff at breakfast and poor quality buffet - inaccuracy of car valet return hour the next morning

Wonderful hotel in the middle of Florence.

The City is Loud, lots of street noise to be heard in our room

The best part of this hotel was the price for the location. It is a very short walking distance to nearly every major attraction in the city of Florence! A real bang for the buck as most hotels in this area are very expensive. Great breakfast included, very nice decor as well. The delux rooms are about $250. A night. You can get cheaper rooms as well. A great deal for all you get, and the location can't be beat! Staff do all you ask, except my only complaint might be that they are not the most friendly, but efficient. All on all, a 9.5 out of 10.

This hootel was very close to the main attractions of Firenze: the Duomo, etc.

The hotel only allowed two people in the room, even though there was a king size bed, and a pull out double bed.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Cavour for three nights. The staff was extremely friendly, all spoke very good English. The rooftop terrace was great, it had an amazing view of the city and the Duomo. Our room was spacious and very clean. Certain rooms are more updated than others. The breakfast they offer was very nice with plenty to eat. Our friends also stayed and they had a newly remodeled restroom but the room was smaller. Rooms were both very clean.

The bathroom was a little out of date, but very clean and everything worked properly. Plenty of towels, soap etc.

The consierge was only part time and never there when we needed them.The bartender on the terrace was rude and unwelcoming.

The location was second to none. The staff were so helpful and the hotel roof terrace amazing. Our room 227 was too BIG! An amazing room but needs more lighting options. Maybe a couple of standing lamps would 'warm it up' a little. A little noisy if you wanted the windows open, in saying that the Italians eat late so it is expected. The breakfast was a feast in itself. A really good hotel. Try The Yellow Bar a few steps away for a great value meal, and lively atmosphere.

The room (227) needed a little more warmth to it. A few more lamps and a very large mirror above the very large sofa. Great ceiling art though!

The bathroom whilst having a bath with shower head did not have a location for hanging the shower head on the wall and standing under it.

Excellent location, building was beautiful as was the roof terrace overlooking the City.

A bit noisy on the streets and the cleaning staff were also very loud in the morning, our room was next to the storage locker where they keep supplies and they didn't even try to speak low.

Our room was lovely, and had a great view of the Florence skyline. The rooftop bar/lounge was fabulous, and it had nice plexiglass panels to shield you from the wind. Great location, too!

Not a thing!

The only thing I would say good it the location.

The man in the reception was extremely impatient and unfriendly, especially when I was asking about the public transport. The air- conditioning was not working and they told me it is blocked until the summer. I can't believe this is a 4 stars hotel, I pay the money to use your facilities but I have no control about when I can use it. Also, the corridor was really complex, need to turns lots of times and walk for almost 3 mins to reach the room after I came out from the lift. Still can't believe it's a 4-stars hotel, strongly recommend not to stay here.

The roof top terrace is a good addition to the hotel although the prices are somewhat high. Location is excellent

Prices on rooftop bar Decor in the bar downstairs doesn't suit the traditional stance which Florence offers.

The staff were excellent, very courteous and helpful. The location is great, central with easy access to almost everything. The hotel is comfortable and pleasant, and the advance booking rates are very good value for money.

The coffee in the breakfast room could be better! In Italy one expects excellent coffee. Also, the area is noisy at night - not the fault of the hotel, and they have tried to soundproof the rooms, but it means you need to close the windows to sleep.
