The hotel is well placed within Florence for all of the museums and art galleries. The hotel has a wonderful roof top bar which is provides an exciting view of the City. Some of the staff are really very good particularly on the front desk The rooms are of a good size Breakfast is good and the staff helpful should you have a particular request In respect of the roooms the lack of a good wardrobe. Anybody staying for more than five days would be living out of suit case for most of the times as the size of wardrobes is very limiting. Though the roof top terrace is good it could be greatly improved in respect of the ambiance that it provides. Closing by 11pm is not a good idea. There are other hotels in the area who seem to be able to create a magical ambiance at very low cost. Though some of the staff are excellent there are a few who let the side down. Given the nature of the hotel its vital that all of the reception staff speak english and also demonstrate a willingness to use the language.

A lovely hotel, very centrally located, within walking distance of all the sights. Very modern rooms and a really good breakfast. Would stay there again and recommend to friends & family. Not a complaint as such, but the roof top bar should be open earlier than 5pm in the afternoon, it would have been nice to have an afternoon relax up there with a nice drink. The guy on the roof top bar was a bit miserable to be honest, we went up there at 4.50pm as we had just arrived and he wouldn't give us a drink untill bang on 5pm, I think as we were paying quite a bit to stay in this hotel he could have at least let us have 2 beers on such a warm day and having just arrived, I wouldn't have thought 10 minutes would have mattered. I think there could have been some more relaxing music up on the rooftop bar, the guy had an ipod playing but you couldn't even hear it, when I asked him to turn up a frank sinatra song that I loved, he looked at me like I had three heads.. I think he needs a personality transplant..

The location was close to major attractions, with a view from the rooftop. Air con did not work and there are no view at all from the windows. Although the room as clean and location was pretty good, this hotel was completely overpriced and did not look as nice as in the online photos. Should be 3 stars at best.

Staff were courteous though unaccommodating. the second night we got a nice room with all the amenities described on the hotel's web site. The location was excellent, right in the center of Florence next to Il Duomo. The first night we were given a single room.It was a bit challenging for us/two guys/ to sleep on a small double bed. The room was obviously intended as a single room although staff claimed it was a double. It had one set of towels and toiletries.Paying for a double room and getting a single was disappointing. Staff were adamant about being unable to do anything that night. On the morning of Jan 1st there was no hot water, just lukewarm. Hardly befitting a 4star hotel. We didnt even get a reduced rate for the first night. Parking was extremely expensive by any standard, I wouldnt recommend using a car in Florence.

Grate location between all main attractions of the Florence, garageman parking your car and bringing it back when needed, nice pompous hall. Very small room. No wardrobe near the entrance. Very small wardrobe located in the corner of the room just near the bed. No simple things in the room like glasses or bottle opener. Wi-Fi crashed all the time

It's location is perfect. Big, bright and airy room. However, very noisy at night perhaps it's a Saturday evening. By and large, I like the hotel. Noisy down the street. Not all the Reception staff is friendly and courteous.

We were very impressed with the hotel. We had no idea that the hotel was near the Galleria dell'Accademia! The only thing we didn't like that that we couldn't control the room temperature and the tv was pretty small.

ıT was perfectly located just in the middle of all artictic and historic centers and the value-price balance was really good. The room was sort of empty as far as the decoration is concerned. The walls, floors were all empty. No pictures/frames, no carpet or any other floor cover . This makes the rooms "cold" and somehow uncousy. Second first they said that there is a cattle in the room for tea. I couldn't see it and asked then it was stated taht because I did not have breakfast at the hotel, I can not also have a cattle. This was sort of strange. There was a mini bar, so why dont they put a cattle as well.

Great location, two minutes walk to Dome. Excellent staff and great breakfast. We booked a superior double which didn't come with a double bed, it was two singles pushed together. When I asked at reception I was told all double rooms are set up like this.

The location is quite good and convenient. However, not that satisfied with the interior room design, not match the whole hotel design,(The hotel lobby and restaurant are good,)however, too old fashion inside (room). For young couple, kindly pay attention to it.

Positive points about this hotel are excellent central location, fairly well maintained rooms and the overall tratditional feel of the building. The most disappointing part was the unhelpful and snobby(!) staff. Although you can expect internet access through a hotel computer in most hotels in Italy, during our stay this was not available as the computers were based in an occupied meeting room!! The 'No Disturbance' sign was never observed either! Airconditioning was noisy and looked like something from the 70s. Mini spa and a so called Turkish bath came at an extra 10 Euros - I did not use these but had to let the hotel know 20 minutes in advance so they turned the thing on! Overall very disappointed.

“I love my stay at this hotel. The staff is really friendly and helpful (especially to advise on restaurants ;) . The value for money is really good, not too expensive but still chic and really good quality hotel. I was really impressed by how 'clean' it was also. The breakfast buffet is fab! and the bar is cool! The location is awesome as you are right in the centre! Fantastic! And also no city noise or anything! I strongly recommend it! ” Samia, Leeds |
