Well adorned rooms, bell man very kind
Front desk staff was not overly friendly, gave incorrect information about cabs, beds were comfortable
The Location and the view are perfect.
The service fees of museums reservations are not reasonable, double the ticket fees.
Location. Bar on roof. Friendly and helpful staff.
No complaints really
The staff is very nice. We were assigned to a room located on the 2nd floor and it was very noisy from outside. Even though they could not arrange another room for us on the second day, the Front office staff arranged a higher floor room for us on the 3rd day.
The pillow and bed are a bit dusty. The staff in the roof bar are not very friendly.
The location is exellent. The Room is very comfortable and clean.
The lobby and the dark in the place for breakfast.
The location is definitely the best feature (about a two minute walk from the Duomo). Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast had a lot of choices.
Not much really.
The hotel enjoys a great location on the Via del Proconsolo - just a short walk from the Duomo, the shops of Via Roma and a handful of beautiful city-centre churches and palaces as well as many great restaurants and bars. The staff are mostly very friendly with just a few hiccups here and there. The decor of the hotel is quite beautiful - with dark neutral colours and interesting furnishings and the rooms are clean, well appointed and comfortable... to a point. The roof terrace has terrific, even wonderful views of Florence and the drinks are fine.
The noise in this hotel is unforgivable. The first time we stayed there I believe we were on the 3rd floor and a different side of the hotel - and it suffered from some noise - but nothing that couldn't be shrugged off - though certainly not ideal. This time however, we were on the first floor and I was awoken by cleaners arguing outside of our room at 6am! The night after that we were awoken by a group of American tourists outside of the hotel having a conversation for no less than an hour, one of them screaming like a fool (think Sepultura with a Californian accent) - I would hope in such situations the hotel staff would move them along but they did no such thing. From 6am each morning there was banging from all directions - and even the faintest whisper seemed to be audible in the room and the staff made no effort to be quiet while banging through rooms. I was badgered to pay before I arrived despite buying a pay after stay room - I've also stayed at the hotel before - that time in the high season and didn't have such problems. The wi-fi is ridiculous - when it works it barely works - chuntering along as though it takes its powers from some ancient steam powered invention and the signal is weak in the rooms. On my final night I wanted to go out at a little before 1am and had to wait 5 minutes in the lobby as the man responsible for the desk wasn't there - when he came he questioned why I was leaving and made an effort to seem put out. I loved this hotel but I have the impression it was a love of the area and the decor more than anything else - a short lived aesthetic love, a love that burns out before the wax starts to drop. On a lesser note the breakfast is sub-par - with a tiny bread selection and even smaller meat and cheese selection. Good juices though. I recommend that anyone who sleeps lightly avoids this hotel at all costs.
the staff was geat .as well as the breakfast.
Nice breakfast buffet and café! Kind staff!
Fitness/spa facilitets are ridiculessly small. Very few english speakning tv channels.
This hotel is in a prime location but by far it's the rooftop bar overlooking the cathedral which makes it worth staying. the restaurant also has a lovely atmosphere, we spent 2 1/2 hours over our meal as we felt so relaxed and were not hurried by the staff. The beds are huge, rooms very warm.
the finishing touches to the bathroom were rough and there was writing on the bedside table! Can't believe someone would do that but it should have been removed. The noise of the city was loud but that's what you get for an excellent location. And I didn't expect to have to pay for use of a Turkish bath in a four star hotel.
The location is exceptional, staff was lovely and very helpful, beautiful hotel with great amenities, very big rooms and bathrooms, super clean. Also the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Honestly nothing was wrong, what a lovely hotel!
Good position near to almost visit places. Good sttaf, change room for us with the reason which has not noticed when booking. Near to shopping area.
Too many one direction streets to drive to.
Hotel and staff was very nice, great central location.
Strong sewage smell in main part of hotel. Huge charges to book tickets for Uffizi/Accademia etc. I booked tickets for Accademia (mine should have cost 8 euros plus 4 euros advance booking fee plus a free under 18 ticket. Hotel charged me 29 euros!!)
Amazing breakfast buffet, excellent location, very good customer service and nice staff. Rooftop bar with amazing view of Florence!
We had a slight problem with the bath but the staff offered hpod alternatives and solutions to the problem. Apart from that, everything was good.
Lovely rooms very comfortable bed and nice bathroom, free Wi fi, has a fantastic rooftop bar
Really bad drain smell in hotel entrance not good at all !!! They will have to get that sorted PRONTO !!
The roof bar at night with its heated floor and amazing view was worth visiting florence alone!! Beautiful hotel in a beautiful city
Nice location in the center of old city. Beautiful veranda upstairs
Shower was not working properly. No water in the room. Expensive breakfast
location breakfast selection Wi-fi connection for free
Terrasse was accessible but never serviced, even got sent away one evening Service at breakfast inexistant until supervisor intermission
We are a young couple that came from Lisbon and we were already before in Napoli Roma Genova Milano and Torino but there's nothing as Firenze!!Really like the hospitality of the Reception Staff but also of the F&B staff..as I work in a Hotel in Lisbon I really was with attention with those things !everything was really nice!special Thanks to Antonella(reception) and the girl that was a Trainee that made my check out I can't remember her name! Ci vediamo presto!!
The day we checked out some big noise bothered me before I waked up. I didn't get any information about the sound so it was pity.
From the moment we arrived, everything went smooth. My boyfriend had a flu so we were thinking of booking another room for him, they gave us a good discount for it. The breakfast was really good. Location is super, the hotel is next to Santa Croce and Piazza delle Signoria.
Think the breakfast could have a little more variety
Within walking distance to all main attractions. Rooms quiet & warm. Excellent breakfast
There was nothing I didn't like. I would certainly stay at this hotel again. It was a very pleasant stay.
