Grand Hotel Cavour    

Fick rum 207 . Bra rum, men absolut omöjligt sova. Fruktansvert väsen dygnet runt. Varför detta hotell aldrig kommer väljas igen.

This hootel was very close to the main attractions of Firenze: the Duomo, etc.

The hotel only allowed two people in the room, even though there was a king size bed, and a pull out double bed.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Cavour for three nights. The staff was extremely friendly, all spoke very good English. The rooftop terrace was great, it had an amazing view of the city and the Duomo. Our room was spacious and very clean. Certain rooms are more updated than others. The breakfast they offer was very nice with plenty to eat. Our friends also stayed and they had a newly remodeled restroom but the room was smaller. Rooms were both very clean.

The bathroom was a little out of date, but very clean and everything worked properly. Plenty of towels, soap etc.

The bathroom whilst having a bath with shower head did not have a location for hanging the shower head on the wall and standing under it.

Excellent location, building was beautiful as was the roof terrace overlooking the City.

A bit noisy on the streets and the cleaning staff were also very loud in the morning, our room was next to the storage locker where they keep supplies and they didn't even try to speak low.

Our room was lovely, and had a great view of the Florence skyline. The rooftop bar/lounge was fabulous, and it had nice plexiglass panels to shield you from the wind. Great location, too!

Not a thing!

The only thing I would say good it the location.

The man in the reception was extremely impatient and unfriendly, especially when I was asking about the public transport. The air- conditioning was not working and they told me it is blocked until the summer. I can't believe this is a 4 stars hotel, I pay the money to use your facilities but I have no control about when I can use it. Also, the corridor was really complex, need to turns lots of times and walk for almost 3 mins to reach the room after I came out from the lift. Still can't believe it's a 4-stars hotel, strongly recommend not to stay here.

The roof top terrace is a good addition to the hotel although the prices are somewhat high. Location is excellent

Prices on rooftop bar Decor in the bar downstairs doesn't suit the traditional stance which Florence offers.

The staff were excellent, very courteous and helpful. The location is great, central with easy access to almost everything. The hotel is comfortable and pleasant, and the advance booking rates are very good value for money.

The coffee in the breakfast room could be better! In Italy one expects excellent coffee. Also, the area is noisy at night - not the fault of the hotel, and they have tried to soundproof the rooms, but it means you need to close the windows to sleep.

We didn't like the room decor. We stayed in the room 302 and the pictures on the wall are really bad taste!!! Doesn't look like the appropiate pictures for an elegant hotel. Please remove them! That is not good taste!

The Hotel was excellent, especially the staff, who couldn't be more helpful.....Angela in particualar was very helpful. Rooms are good with all you need for a city break. The roof terrace is excellent.

Prices of wine on the roof terrace are very high (bottle of wine 45 euros).

- Only two towels for two people - Bathroom needed some work - We ended up paying 64 EUR for parking our car for 36 hours. Its not the hotel's charge as this was the charge of the parking co. they work with. Bad thing is that the price list was never communicated to us, neither when we left the vehicle at the front door, nor in the website or reservation confirmation. I believe that since the parking charges are so high, they should let the customer know before hand. If you stay i.e. for a week without moving your car you'll get a massive parking bill in the end where you'll not expect it.

Really nice staff, gave you everything you asked for. Best room I've ever stayed in.

Large bed in small room, so little free space and no chair at desk. The roof terrace was closed.

The hotel was well placed for all tourist needs.Close to rail and close to the main destinations of interest around the city.Breakfast was of good choice and quality.

Noise,noise noise.If we ever get back to Florence I would definitely stay at this hotel again but would ask for a back room as these you would assume be quieter.Seems as though the top bar is conveniently closed in off season couldn't see any work being done.

location is excellent, easy to go everywhere in the city. It is located in the heart of Florence.
