Grand Hotel di Como  

This is a nice business hotel which can be used by families for short trips to Como. Our room was spacious and comfortable, Italian style. The breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of food. The hotel is located 3km from Como in a very quite area. There is however no view on the lake and you need a car to go to Como (10min).

The safe in our room was dysfunctional. In addition, the lady at the reception was not really responsive.

Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and a good size, free sky tv. Breakfast had a large selection. Short walk from a ferry stop. It was a good base place to stay as we had a car we could easily drive to another town,but wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a car. Currently building a pool will be better when the pool is ready.

I thought it had a large park ground for running but it was not as big as I thought. No tea and coffee facility in the room.

Even though we had rezervasyon for 9 days,we stayed 5 days hardly. It was 12 c outside during the day time there was only a sheet on the bed, no cover at all. When I asked for a cover they brought a very old and dirty blanket. The hotel is very old needs renovation. In the bath beautiful marbles were stained largely, you don't want to take a shower there. This kind of location deserves a much better hotel!

The desing swimming pool was great, pitty of the street noice at 50 meters.

The windows of one person rooms only kip, and the room is rather small, but ok.

we liked the room- with a very big bed, big room for an extra bed and and an extra sofa. The bathroom was nice and clean. It was well decorated. The breakfast was good. The pool was very very safe and clean. The hotel is 15 minutes away from the center by bus. Bus station is infront of the hotel, you may take bus numbered 11 and 6 to the center or walk 5 minutes to cernabbio center and take boat to the center. I did not take meal but, people seemed enjoying so much. There are cheaper pension like places in cernabbio to stay, as our friends did-safe, clean, nice- but we wanted a hotel with a pool for our daughter, and paid more. The only thing negative I may say that te internet access was 5 euro for an hour and was very slow in the room, and there were only 2 computers in the business center that I hasd to wait for my turn. Despite this, I am very very satisfied with the hotel.

The pool area was lovely and clean and large enough to accomodate all the guests so no one had to fight over sun-beds. The room was very clean.

I was stung by a bee on a day when all pharmacies were closed. The reception had no first aid supplies suitabe for such an instance, considering there are a large nuber of bees around the pool area I think this issue should be addressed.

The rooms need urgent refurbishment. The internet is not for free. it costs around 10 eur / h.

No toasted bread available at breakfast. Wifi available at a cost yet was of poor quality (not accessible at pool area all the time).

Location, perfect place to stop over and just relax. Friendly staff, good facilities, nice pool area. Good breakfast. Very nice

Nothing special. Expensive for what it offers. Breakfast was poor for this type of hotel. Not a nice place to relax in the hotel.
