Grand Hotel di Como  

Breakfast was very good. There was free on-street parking.

Decor was "tired" and in need of maintenance. Wallpaper coming off the walls, carpet had holes. The place looked run-down and dated. The shower stall was in need of repair and there was mold on the grout. The fire extinguisher was missing on our floor (the 5th).

The manager is bad and unfriendly at all!!! He refused us to check out a day earlier,because he said booking.com did not agreed?but my wife spoke to your staff by phone,and she did not object at all.The manager request us to get your written approval,which your staff agreed and do so,but the manager arguing to my wife so unfriendly,just like uncivilized person.My wife was so angry to him.It was in front of the reception counter with many guess witnessing the whole events! It is really low moral manager,with grand hotel brand,it is really low class and quality for the reputation of a hotel.It should not be listed at all in booking .com!Disgraceful!!

Nice hotel close to Lake Como. Building from the 80ies, needs to be refreshed sooner or later. Nice pool and garden outside.

we liked the room- with a very big bed, big room for an extra bed and and an extra sofa. The bathroom was nice and clean. It was well decorated. The breakfast was good. The pool was very very safe and clean. The hotel is 15 minutes away from the center by bus. Bus station is infront of the hotel, you may take bus numbered 11 and 6 to the center or walk 5 minutes to cernabbio center and take boat to the center. I did not take meal but, people seemed enjoying so much. There are cheaper pension like places in cernabbio to stay, as our friends did-safe, clean, nice- but we wanted a hotel with a pool for our daughter, and paid more. The only thing negative I may say that te internet access was 5 euro for an hour and was very slow in the room, and there were only 2 computers in the business center that I hasd to wait for my turn. Despite this, I am very very satisfied with the hotel.

The pool area was lovely and clean and large enough to accomodate all the guests so no one had to fight over sun-beds. The room was very clean.

I was stung by a bee on a day when all pharmacies were closed. The reception had no first aid supplies suitabe for such an instance, considering there are a large nuber of bees around the pool area I think this issue should be addressed.

The rooms need urgent refurbishment. The internet is not for free. it costs around 10 eur / h.

Excellent location and grounds, really liked the park area. Good breakfast, a good sized bed and helpful staff.

Nothing special. Expensive for what it offers. Breakfast was poor for this type of hotel. Not a nice place to relax in the hotel.

Excellent hotel, perfect location for the lake, close to town but quiet in its own gardens huge double bed and so comfortable

The strange halogen light above the bed!! Nothing really but weird!!

The Room was nicely spaced, and bathroom was nice and cleanBut as per the right up is no where near the lake!!!!! So don't expect a view of the lake from any room in the hotel and if they tell you you have a lake view they are lying as we so rudely found out and we stayed in a Delux room not even a standard room, Staff are competent but extremely unwilling to cross the language barrier to accomodate any requests!!Continental Breakfast Buffet be warned is extremely limited!!
