In Moltrasio on the shores of Lake Como, Grand Hotel Imperiale Resort & SPA is an Art Nouveau villa from the 1920s. It features a summer outdoor pool, elegant restaurant and a spa center.

The location is out of town but an easy walk into Cernobbio and a taxi/bus into Como. We were looking to relax for the last part of our European vacation and this was the perfect spot. Pool and surrounds were very good.
No ironing facility.
long way from town and restaurants
Clean, quiet neighborhood, easy access to highway
- Comfortable hotel - Frienly staff - Nice pool area - Excellent breakfast
Building is not charming We were two friends in Como for shopping trip - for this kind of travel the hotel does not have an appeal of charme
Pool Outside Restaurant Breakfast
Room was a little tatty, but clean
Pool area is great, staff there and staff in general is friendly and nice!!! Courses at pool bar are delicious !!!
Hotel needs renovation inside. Breakfast is not as tasty as it is usually is in Italy.
The hotel is comfortable and relaxed, with pleasant, helpful staff. The pool is a nice size and depth and the jaccuzi section was popular with our 13 year old son. The staff recommendations for restaurants in the local area were very good.
Sometimes, when the hotel was busy, breakfast was a bit crowded and understaffed. The coffee was not very good and often almost cold.
The Pool area was lovely and the rooms were very comfy and clean. I also thought the location was good with a short walk to pick up water taxis or you could walk into Cernobbio or Como.
We had quite heavy rain. When it rains heavily they shut the grill restaurant which is the most affordable of the restaurants and has the most varied menu. This left us with little choice but to eat in one of the hotels expensive restaurants. Soft drinks were also overpriced.
everything, staff, room, location and food all a 10!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was superb as was the jacuzzi. The lounge was good and access to wifi was excellent. Dining was excellent.
Some of the bathroom fittings were poor (sink appeared to have cigarette burns - it was plastic) and the hairdrier was antiquated and slow.
The Crew Friendliness Infrastructure Distance from home
Noise from the main street
Very warm welcome;
Advise to go by ferry to Como for dinner; last ferry goes 19:30 hrs. So not so good advise. Breakfast buffet was not refilked in time
Spacious room, a couple of senior people from the staff were helpful. Breakfast ok, nice pool.
Most staff members were rude und obviously unaware what it means to work in a 4star Hotel. You had the feeling that you are annoying them, which is unacceptable. Bathroom dirty, sheets on the bed torn. Also, in the year 2014 staying in a four star Hotel, wifi, which has a bad connection as well, should be free. Food at the pool mediocre. Really a shame, we will not go to this hotel anymore.
Facilities were good - nice pool area, comfortable rooms.
The staff was okay, but their recommendations were based on that everyone in there hotel is rich. The hotel is quite far from the old town and only way the staff told us to go there was by a boat taxi, which would have cost 100 euros per two!! Instead we found out ourselves that there is a local bus going there too - the bus stop is in front of the hotel. Also there is a restaurant next to a hotel (K&K),where the staff recommended us to go (first evening, hungry, late arrival) The food was most terrible I have ever eaten and the dinner was really expensive - 140 euros !! (two persons)
Pool area with restaurant is beautiful, nice, cosy rooms and giant, comfortable bed!!!
The staff is very helpful and kind. There is a great gurme restaurant nearby which we had very good experience named Kitchen.
Breakfast could be improved.
Perfect rooms, friendly and helpful staff, 3(!) restaurants.
25 minute walk to the city center
The pool is excellent and the breakfast was one of the best buffet we have had at a mid range hotel in Europe. Well located near a ferry stop and one stop away from como (good for people looking to visit como but can't find a good hotel in como)
The checkin staff and the staff at the bar (near the pool) were indifferent / not helpful at all. An hour and half to two hours away from bellagio and menagio, if these are your key interests then it's almost 3 hours round trip.
Proximity to villa Erba
The wifi connectivity
The hotel is lovely and we were lucky enough to be given a new room on the 2nd floor which had a small fenced yard. We had our small dog with us and this was absolutely perfect. The area had faux grass and sun lounges. Just wonderful. The breakfast was great and we ate in 2 of the 3 restaurants on site and both were great
Nothing not to like
Very helpful staff
excellent place to relax, close to the lake, good staff,
price little high. first floor close to the garden, lot of activities
All staff seemed slightly grumpy
