Wifi Cost Benefits
Cleaning is very bad too far from the closest subway station (Euclide) Breakfast is terrible
Staff were friendly and understanding (our friends were arriving a couple of hours later than us-not a problem, we also wanted to leave our cases after check out as our flight was in the evening and we wanted to look around before we left- not a problem) provided us with maps etc for our stay Room was nice size, bathroom was clean, shower pressure/heat great, fridge with drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic €2-€4 Included breakfast was nicely varied continental style, hams, cheeses, eggs, cereals, bread, fruit and cakes/pastries. Coffee and teas, water and juice. Wifi was good speed and available all over the hotel. Room terrace was nice with nice views
Room was described as having carpeted floors and a safe. We had neither. There also appeared to be 2 bars, 1 on the ground floor and 1 on the terrace but it was unclear if they were operational. In the breakfast hall there looked as if there was a dining hall for evening meals but the hotel didn't provide this service however provided recommendations for local restaurants.
I booked the hotel because a group of colleagues were staying there for a meeting. It was good to be close to them but the hotel would not have been my first choice given the distance to city centre and transport. It was excellent value for money and there are some nice restaurants within walking distance. Also, thhe staff was nice and friendly, and it was clean and tidy.
However, the internet in the room was not reliable but was ok in the hall, and apparently in some of the other rooms. It was relatively noisy at night with big streets. The location is not so close to the city centre or easy access to metro or train. Also, the decor was a bit tired and the door to my room did not close properly.
not central, but well connected.
Rich but not appealing breakfast. Everything looks clean and refurbished, but if you look carefully, shower boxes really DO need a deeper cleaning. (at least, the shower of room 502).
Breakfast was good overall with a reasonable selection of food, even if the coffee service was a bit eccentric (but good when it arrived). The room was clean, and the staff friendly.
The walls were too thin, and the person in the neighbouring room woke each morning at 05h00. It was impossible not to be woken by the shower. The location was really, really residential and far from everything.
Clean room, good and fast working house keeping ladies
terrible service in breakfast and breakfast food quality. Waiters almost throwing on the table what they're bringing, angry and complaining about you in your face in italian thinking that you are so stupid and don't understand.
Very polite staff, clean rooms and the breakfast is quite good (not for 4stars hotel but good). It's located in a quiet area that's about 20 minutes by bus from the termini train station.
We booked this room by accident because our initial booking was close to Ciampino Airport. Grand Hotel Hermitage was truly a wonderful way to end our holiday. Our room was gorgeous, we had a lavish bed with en-suite bathroom and a balcony with a breath taking view of the area. The breakfast was incredible- we ate like royalty. There is a bus terminal just up the road with easy access to the city centre. We would go back any day!
not that long way to public transport
arrogant staff; breakfast looks okay, but only if you are morning person - about 9am (breakfast ends at 10am) you won't get much or even bread; hotel looks also nice, but only when you don't focus on details
I did not like anything really.
First of all we had got camping beds however we booked a double bed. (we arrived midnight after an exhausting day so we did not check it just had a shower and went to sleep.) In the morning we had a terrible back- and neck-ache. When we said we didn't pay for that night because of the caused inconvenience, they rejected it whereas they should have offered this option...When we said if they didn't accept we forced to leave the hotel. After that they accepted that. How interesting... I saw bugs in the orange juice, and sometimes the tomatoes weren't washed, there was mud on them. WiFi connection was that weak, we could't even check anything really, had to go to the dining hall. Last day when we arrived to the hotel we found our room open. The maid did not close it properly.
The breakfast was very good.
Very small room, quite noisy, small bathroom, old forniture. I expected something better from a 4 star hotel.
Its not so close to the Trein station, you have to use taxi to get there.. Or wait one hour for the bus....
Breakfast is so weak.
Good hotel, but obviously needs some renovation, especially of the bathrooms. Located in a quiet and expensive district of Rome in the good neighbourhood, so even at night you should not be afraid to walk their alone (not like near Termini Railway Station, for example...). Although situated not in the very centre, but it is even good- as there is no noise and bustle of the centre, but you can easily reach it with the bus 360, bus stop is just two minutes walk from the hotel. For those who like walking- Villa Borgese is 20 minutes walk from the hotel, another 20 minutes across this beautiful park and you are on Piazza del Popolo from where you can start your sightseeing city tour. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, speaking italian, english, german, but some of the managers on the reception loose their friendliness when facing some problems, however still remaining quite polite. Breakfast is continental (that is very good and not that often for Italy) and with a good choice. In a few minutes walk from the hotel on the viale dei Parioli there are good and posh restaurants to have a tasty italian dinner. Good price-quality ratio for the hotel with such location in Rome.
obviously needs some renovation, especially of the bathrooms in order to be called a FOUR star hotel. wi-fi signal in the rooms is very poor and requires some patience..
It is very convenient, and the area where the hotel is located is excellent, very convenient to travel to Roma Termini and Colosseum, St Mary's Bascilla and the local buses running till Midnight
The Wi-Fi connection was very poor, I was not able to connect to any site. often it was getting struck. The breakfast was some what OK, but worth for the price what you pay for the hotel room.
Not a good hotel
Strange smell in the room. It is an old building that really needs refurbishment. 4 stars rating is a joke. Ugly interiors, awful bathroom. So far I have been in 6 different 4* hotels in Italy and its definitely the worst one (and not the cheapest one). Better come early on breakfast cause the later you come the smaller choice you have.
Very reasonable price; good bus connection from city centre; although far from centre located in nice peaceful neighbourhood.
Very nice staff and helpful answered all queries. The hotel was very clean.
The only thing I didn't like I booked that hotel so far out of the city because it had smoking rooms which I requested and didn't get and we spent a lot of time waiting for the bus.
nice ,silence place...for visit rome is perfect. very good breakfast.
was cold in my room..
The headboard was not attached the bed and was quite noisy. The shower drain was very slow. The wifi in the room was poor to non existant.
The staff was helpful, not extra-friendly but did almost everything on request Generally, I think you can never be sure with this hotel, sometimes the rooms are superb, sometimes they are the 2. Star level
The first room they put me in was a disaster, it was on the ground floor, although in the hotel it is presented as the third! After claiming a problem with toilet and asking the hotel plumber to assist me they finally changed my room to a much better one.
