Grand Hotel La Medusa

A great, privately-run hotel and an excellent base for visiting Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and the Naples area. An oasis of calm in a busy, densely populated region. Superb gardens and facilities and attentive, friendly staff.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the level of service is very high. The hotel itself is in a great location for sightseeing and a free shuttle to the station is provided, (the train being the easiest way to get around). It is luxuriously decorated and has a large garden area where you can relax with a cocktail, and a big swimming pool to cool off in. The hotel restaurant serves wonderful food or there are a few other restaurants just a short walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back one day!

this hotel was one of the best during our 4 week trip in Italy. Excellent services and very friendly. Our 3 day stay was too short to enjoy this hotel fully.

Top quality hotel resort with excellent facilities & service. Vey helpful management & staff, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful & immaculately kept grounds for relaxation. A truly superb hotel.

The location was not that upmarket. but once within the grounds this was not at all noticeable.

We had a wonderful stay at the Medusa. We were treated very well and looked after. The hotel was beautful and the gardens were gorgeous. We had a very relaxing enjoyable stay. The Hotel Manager was excellent and made us feel like nothing was any trouble. I would recommend this hotel and would go back

Excellent swimming pool, lovely gardens and very kind and attentive staff. Breakfast was great - especially the do it yourself orange juice machine!

The location requires you taking a hire car as you will need to travel away from the area to visit popular attractions such as Amalfi coast, Sorrento & Pompei.

We loved the way the hotel staff spoiled us every step of the way. They could not do enough for us and we appreciated their attendance very much. And, of course, we loved the "garden of Eden" that sorrounds the hotel. Our stay at the La Medusa was one of the best.

Extremely helpful staff and very luxurious

The manager Francesco was extremely obliging and the rooms were exquisite.

We spent there only one night, but the hotel with its beautiful garden was just great, even in February. Friendly staff, spacious room, comfortable bed etc... The town of Castellammare di Stabia is not very nice, so you have to drive to Amalfi coast to get decent views. Anyway, Grand Hotel La Medusa was perfect for us, an island.

Beautiful facilities

The address for the hotel was not correct, we spent 3 hours trying to find the hotel.

Hotel was beautiful as were the grounds, people were very helpful and friendly, recentlu updated and well maintained

L'albergo esternamente è affascinante, ben tenuto, parcheggio privato, ottima posizione e a 5 mn dal centro di Castellammare di Stabia. Silenzioso e tranquillo ottimo per relax.

La suite prenotata non era del suo livello. Lampadario storto,frigobar puzza di muffa. Il bagno lascia a desiderare, porta box doccia rotta e rubinetteria vecchia. Abbiamo richiesto la colazione in camera ma non ci è stata portata, solo dopo nostra chiamata al centralino (intorno le ore 08.00) sono venuti a ritirare la richiesta appesa fuori sulla maniglia. La colazione era inclusa nel prezzo della camera ma hanno ugualmente addebitato 40 euro (alla fraccia della colazione) sulla ricevuta fiscale.
