I really liked the location which is close to the center, the places to visit, the restaurants, the shops as well as the train station and the staff members are very friendly

The furniture needs to be a little bit in a better shape specially the corridors leading to the rooms

5 minute walk to SMN train station & SITA bus station which you can take to airport for 6 euro. Roof top pool & lounge w/fab views of city. Very good American breakfast buffet. We had a room facing the piazza w/small balcony. It was quiet. Overall best value in Florence of the 3 hotels we patronized.

We had an adjoining room which was locked but we could easily hear the other people who had small children!

Our travels took us to Rome, Florence, Paris and London. Of all the hotels we stayed, all four or five star hotels, The Grand Hotel Minverva was the best. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace and the great view when we opened our window to look out onto the square. Staff was just great. A wonderful breakfast buffet was also included and was great.

We were moved to a large room which was spacious and very comfortable

Don't get the single room - its tiny and way over priced. To the staff's credit they did move us on the second night.

The room looked like it had been recently refurbished. There was plenty of space in the room

It was disappointing that building works were happening around the rooftop pool area so we could not access that area

Noise from early activity in the piazza. AC not turned on so had to choose between noise or a hot room

Centrally located within walking distance of the train station, and many museums, restaurants.

The room was bigger than we had experienced in Italy. The twin beds were not as comfortable as a bigger bed, but it worked out fine. Shower was always hot. Breakfast was big and included sausage and eggs every day which was great. The fact that it was next to the train station in Florence was so convenient.

Noisy... They had an ambulance station less than 20 steps from the hotel entrance. Sirens were not supposed to go off at night but they did. If ypu have a light sleep this is not your place

It is a beautiful, modern hotel but with some traditional style, so it well integrates modern comfort with a sense for art and the historic surroundings. The location is excellent, near to the station, but repaired from it, and at walking distance from the main attractions.

We asked for 2 rooms with a view of the beautiful Santa Maria Novella, but only 1 of them had that and at the reception desk they claimed the other had a partial view too, but all you could see was the very tip of the church, not what I would call a view... Also the room safe with combination did not work.

This Hotel was very comfortable, and it was very warm yet had the lovely openable windows which we love! It was very quiet although in a busy area and the staff were excellent and most efficient.

I had no negative comments to make.

The hotel was close to the train station, and very close to all the best sites in Florence. The staff was helpful and even gave us information as to what the events were in town for the time we were there.

The rooms are already quite old. We had a suite, but we were sleeping on the sofa, and that was quite very incomfortable. And it was quite cold in our room, well downstairs.

liked everything about this hotel, staff very helpful and friendly and very welcoming, they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable, room excellent with a balcony overlooking the Piazza, maids changed beds every day. Breakfast was excellent, as much as you wanted and the choices were endless. The location was ideal for visiting Florence with easy access to all areas of the city and a map was given on arrival with all the major areas pointed out to you by the friendly reception staff. Would never stay anywhere else when visiting Florence. I was there with my mother, not a choice given at the top of this form to select.

Just one key for the room. Room too warm.

The cordiality of the staff, the staggering view of Santa Marian Novella Basil from the room window, the rooftop.

The sink was a bit dated and frim water formed a permanent little pool in it; the heating system was extremely loud and noisy and it compromised the overall confort of the room during the night.

Reception were very friendly, offering maps of Florence and highlighting placed to visit. We upgraded the room and to include a 3course meal. The food was some of the best I have ever tasted, especially the salmon, I didn't know it was possible for salmon to taste that good haha. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel 100%

One tiny problem, we were shown a price for a bottle of Prosecco at 18 euros, bill came for 25 euros. Questioned this, but the restaurant manager presumable (older chap in 50's) passed this off. Only slightly negative point. The young lady who waited on us was incredibly helpful, even when we dropped drinks all over the table.
