Grand Hotel Tremezzo  

Location excellent. Setting beatiful. Accomodation as expected. Breakfast outstanding.

Shame about the road right in front. Restaurant average.

Bathroom is old style (shower in bath tub) only one sink w/ limited amenities. Strong aroma in d room.

Despite being old and historical, the hotel had some magic to it. Staff were all very very nice and helping. Excellent Lake view. 10 minutes walk to Cadennabia were you can take the ferry to all interesting villages like Varrena and Belagio. We liked Varrena a lot. 2 minutes to the left is villa Carlotta for those interested. 2 minutes to the right are some interesting resturants. We ate several times at Helvetia. Nice and friendly. Breakfast in the hotel is excellent and with excellent view of the lake.

Large, charming old world style of luxury hotel with fine dining and impeccably trained staff ready to serve.

Rooms were not spacious...had to upgrade to get decent size...and furniture could have used an update. Menus in marvelous dining room could use a bit more variety.

We enjoyed our Easter getaway in this sweet hotel. The best part was the staff, everyone were just fantastic - helpful and kind. The indoors swimming pool is beautiful and we had lots of fun there. Dinner in the Terazza was excellent.

We enjoyed breakfast but it can be improved by adding some fresh vegetables.

You could put a caravan on the banks of lake como and it would be amazing. Great location fantastic hotel. Staff were excellent as you would expect in a 5 star hotel.

I have been lucky to stay at many 5 star hotels through out the world. This hotel was no exception in that the price of food in the hotel was extortionate and very overpriced for what you got. Lots of excellent places to eat 2 minute walk just as good as the hotel at a quarter of the price. I don't mind paying for good food but it better be good. The room was nice although the bed was like a rock.

It is a great place to relax. The hotel is very comfortable and chic, the staff is very polite and friendly. We were so fascinated by the atmosphere that decided to stay one more day than expected. Strongly recommend for those who wish to hide from the city noise and routine.

The staff were absolutely fantastic and went out of their way to make sure that our Engagement weekend was a memorable stay. The menus choices in all the restaurants are truly divine. Both pools out front in the lake and behind in the gardens are the perfect places to unwind and relax.

Wonderful location, very friendly and helpful staff, good facilities

Staff were friendly, facilities were fine and the position was excellent. Bathroom was good.

Decor was a little tired and eccentric but gave charm to the stay.

They have a beautiful location. Their pools are amazing. The room was perfect, amazing bathroom and very comfortable beds. Pool boys very friendly, as for people at reception one lady we found to be quite rude.

The food. Breakfast was terrible very few choices. Canned fruit? Tons of meat. Just very much lacking in choices. Had lunch in one of restaurants. Soup was from a can I'm pretty sure, Penne was atrocious, tomato sauce absolutely terrible. Just like the sauce in a spaghettio's can. And the price for this... sky high. By the second day we figured out that you must not eat at the hotel, walk to the nearby village and eat amazing food at a fraction of the price. Also the hotel wouldn't let us eat at the formal restaurant, even though we were quite presentable. People are on vacation...relax a bit! Anyway, they probably did us a favor as all the food we did eat at the hotel was poor quality. It's a shame for such a lovely hotel.

The street is right in front of the hotel, and thus between the hotel and the lake pool, a fact which the pictures do not show. The cars are not too bad but the mopeds and motorcycles are a real pest.

the service was was great very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were great!....especially the buffet breakfast setting and view. The valet parking was awsome.

The hotel food could easily be improved without much effort

The hotel is spectacular! The grounds, facilties, location and restaurants are top notch! We enjoyed relaxing at the spa as well. We will be staying here on our next trip to Lake Como.

The Hotel,and its location are very beautiful,the landscaping also is nice,the Staff are very supportive,Room service,and cleanless are excellent,Vella Carlotta is next to it,and which add an value to the Hotel,is very romantic.the service in the breakfast is also excellent,and wish to revisit it again.

Loved this hotel. Great olde world,charm with modern twists such as the floating pool(with waterfall feature) and lakeside bar area. All areas were well furnished and well maintained. Our room was stylish and relaxing. The dining terrace has beautiful views and our food was good (even if the portions were on the small side!) . Excellent staff.

Splendid-top service-we Will definitely Côme back. This is the best hotel in Lake Como. Alberto and his team provided an outstanding service. This is a kind of experience you will never forget!

Hotel is stunning, set on the hill side in Tremezzo - lake Como, views are 2 die 4, hotel staff are very attentive & always ready to help - concierge excellent. Rooms with a lake view are wonderfull, clean, great shower & bathroom. cocktail bar also great - staff very friendly, breakfast is very good, fresh juice & made to order coffee - food also good.

The room we stayed in was lovely but, colour scheme was a bit off for our taste, very bright blue walls that kind of give you a head ach. No coffee or tea facility's in the rooms!! One elevator seems to be constantly out of order. Seems a little under staffed at the peak times ie: bar, reasturant good but not great. Very nice hotel with all the modern cons but be prepared to $$$$
