The Grandoumo was fabulous. The staff was exceptional, location ideal. We are definitely going back. Ten stars for this hotel!

Everything was fantastic!!!.Though a bit difficult to find at first..the Granduomo was an Amazing stay.The family run hotel was very comfortable and the location was amazing. everything was provided including a sumptuous array of freshly baked breadrolls in the morning and the pantry was well stocked. The owners were extremely friendly and accomadating ..even gave our children small gifts which was a complete surprise.Would definitely stay there again.Its so convenient.Gabriella Marinella and the rest of the family were very helpful and friendly ..The Room was amazing!Big and comfortable with enough space for us and the children.

That I didn't get a room with the view of the Duomo.

Marina could not have been more accommodating. She helped us with sight seeing bookings as was welcoming on arrival. Even more special was the layout of the apartment and all the small things that are prepared for you. A wonderful breakfast is prepared and fresh bread hung in a bag on your door. Small tartlettes, fresh serviettes, elegant toiletries, slippers, etc. The locations cannot be faulted. A beautifully renovated building with wonderful eclectic decor. We were not in one of the apartments with views to the square but it was just as fantastic - and probably quieter.

The building is directly in the intense tourist zone - opposite the Duomo. Wonderfully central but if you a looking for peace - go there in winter. If you are looking for the most central location. This is it.

Great location. Wonderful hospitable people . Room was fully equipped with extra food and drinks and replenished each day.

My most memorable city breaks ever, only made possible with a stay at Granduomo! We received a warm welcome from the owner and the staff and they were friendly and professional throughout our stay. Located next to the Duomo we had the most amazing view from our apartment and the furnishings and presentation of which were to the highest standard. We loved spending time in the library and the 'loft' amongst all the quirky object d'art where every little detail for our comfort had been thought of. I would not hesitate recommending Granduomo to all my discerning friends.

Granduomo is nothing but home. PERFECT!

Granduomo is just steps away from Duomo at the main street, 10 mins walk from smn station. I booked Granduomo because of the good comments from booking.com and it did not disappoint me. We like its cosy design, the library and the skyline. Marinella is an extremely kind and helpful lady. My little girl left her fluffy toy when we checked out. We called back later and Marinella agreed to send it back to Hong Kong without hesitation. Her great help and sincere attitude is much appreciated by us. We will recommend Guanduomo to those who plan to visit Florence.

Amazing location with views onto the Duomo. The apartment was spacious, with lovely self-prepared breakfast each morning. The staff were very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms were amazing, the breakfast served was also a very nice touch :-) (with croissants waiting outside your door in the morning). Location is perfect and I definitely recomend this one for your stay in Firenze :-)

The location is next to the Duomo Church in the very busy area, everything is so close, yet the room is quiet enough due to its FULL acoustic isolation, and is nicely decoradted with calm colours and great material. One can have a great calm deep sleep. The staff especially Marinella gave us wonderful advices about the city, where to go and treated us like feel at home! We liked the tiny details in this hotel and the room which has a small kitchen with good brands for a nice light breakfast! This nice small hotel is amazing, generous and warm with the customers, and we recommend it!

We ran into some last minute travel changes (different day, arriving late...) and the staff went out of their way to accomodate us. The location and quality of the room were outstanding. Really unique multi level building with character on each floor having nooks for having a drink or reading up on the touring plan of the day. This was the truely unique, clean, updated but not too updated european charm we were hoping to discover. By the time we left we had gained a freindship with the staff and will stay here again. Furninshings and linens were out standing.

We spent four nights in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen although small contained everything you need. The communal library and roof top lounge area were fantastic and stocked with coffee machine,nibbles and cakes!. Every morning fresh pastries and breadrolls are delivered to the room and the kitchen supplies jams,butter,drybiscuits,cheese,milk,coffee,tea,fruit,cereal) are restocked daily. The hotel is small so feels like a home away from home and the staff are so helpful and all speak perfect english. This was one of our favorite hotels during our seven week tour-definately recommend for value and position,

The hotel is difficult to find-fortunately our taxi driver pulled up right in front or we would not of noticed it-just one door and small sign

This was an exceptional hotel apartment, hard to fault. Very well appointed in a great location, the owners Giuseppe and Gabriella have created a fantastic facility.

Basic breakfast for this price, standard and level of the accommodation...make your own coffee and a bag of bread rolls and pastries in a bag hanging on your door each day.

Excellent location, right in the centre of town and literally next to the Granduomo. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. We were upgraded and given a beautiful large room with kitchen. Very pleased! Would happily stay here again.

At times a little inconsistent with replenishing kitchen goodies. For example we had to ask for more coffee as it wasn't replenished and also for more muesli.

Hard to find - Signage is poor

My sister and I spent the last couple of days of our 3 weeks in Italy in Florence. We choose the Granduomo after reading the positive comments and its location. We were not disappointed. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. The room and the B&B were much nicer than we had hoped for. The kitchen was well equipped and there was even a little table that was set for tea with delicious nutella cookies! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had the largest (for European standards) showers we had seen in all our travels. The Duomo was literally across the street and the hotel was literally across the street. Although Florence was my least favourite city, the B&B was the best place we stayed.

I would say that I think the price was a little steep. I think the 175 euro a night would have been better priced at 150. There wasn't anything we disliked about the B&B, I would just say that driving to it was very difficult (and we had to call their valet to come fetch the car).

Granduomo is a one of a kind. You feel like home. Greatest location. Staff were so friendly. It is one of the best hotels we've stayed in.

That we had to leave!

I think that the Granduomo is singularly the most enjoyable hotel experience I have ever spent. Stunning rooms, friendliest staff and a location that is simply breathtaking. I wish them the greatest luck with this property.

Elelgant; excellent view; staff very helpful

Location of the hotel is fantastic. You are less than a mile from the train station in Florence. We walked with our baggage. (2 Large roller bags, and carry ons) The Hotel is located directly next to the front steps of the famous Duomo in Florence. Literally about 15 steps front door to Duomo steps. Second, The room was very comfortable and spacious. High ceilings, large bed, small kitchen, large bathroom (for european standards). Fridge in the kitchen had fresh milk, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit. They brought us fresh bread in the morning for breakfast. It was our favorite stay of our 2 week Italian trip.

The Granduomo was wonderful! My husband and I stayed in 4 different accomodations while in Italy and the Granduomo was probably the loveliest. It was clean, pretty, good-size rooms, up-to-date (the hair dryer in the bathroom wasn't ancient, it was a normal hair dryer! and the showers had been redone and were spacious). The woman who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful - they made our reservations for the Uffizi and Accademia and were full of recommendations. There is a small "sky deck" on the rooftop that offers a view of the dome of the Duomo and the Florence skyline, we enjoyed two nights of wine and cheese up there. The hotel itself is situated right outside the Duomo. You walk outside and it is literally right there, it is a beautiful and perfect location. Tons of restaurants, shops, and main streets nearby. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, hands down. If you are staying in Florence, I would definitely try to stay here.
