We were very disappointed with the reception in general, they were not polite, and in front off the big mistake they made that was giving us a standard room when we had a reservation for a a room with view to the basilic, they even didn't apologize for that and were ironic with us simply because they gave us the suite of the hotel with the view. Ok, they solved the problem but the way they talked to us made us very bad impression!!! Be carefull because the photos this hotel have in booking off the rooms does not correspond to reality!!!!

The location close to the Vatican and tourist sites. Breakfast was a buffet and excellent.

The rooms were well presented and the bed comfortable. Cleaned everyday to a high standard. The breakfast was fine - very simple but poor bread and coffee

It was noisy; the walls are very thin and corridors very echoey. Large groups were checking in late at night and you can here everything in the corridors and other rooms. Showers in above rooms and toilets being flushed also caused disturbance as the water flowed down within the walls. No drinkn making or fridge facilities.

No restaurant facility in the evening - they said it was out of season and the restaurant was closed. Breakfast was adequate but not good. Breakfast area is more like a canteen.

Ideal for overnight stay before cruise. Excellent position for visiting the Vatican. Close to San Pietro Rail Station. Staff were very helpful and friendly

It was terrible the way of recovery , had made a reservation in booking of the day 22 to 26 and i canceled, i made another up to 25 number of booking 993934091 , when I was paying the hotel informed that the reserve was the first and i collected the value of the first. reserves which had already canceled. This cannot happen, was an absurd!

Location

Poor Internet Service Employees Smoking outside at the front door. The door was open. and smoke came in the lobby and dining area. There apparently was an employee problem, with loud voices in the lobby, which we could hear on the floor above. where our room was located.

The rooms are very nice and stylish. The staff quite friendly.

The location is a bit on the edge. From outside hotel could look better.

The room was on the small side, but it was comfortable for the most part. The front desk help were very helpful.

The Internet there really sucks! It constantly disconnects and just really was not up to par. The breakfast could be better.

The hotel was situated close to Vatican and was extremely clean, the staff were very friendly.

Lack of facilities to be able to get a cup of coffee once breakfast was finished, I also think the hotel would benefit by advising visitors on hints for their stay, it we found out on the last day about the Roma pass which would have been a benefit. We were given a map but would have benefited from a suggestion of places of interest

- The room was cleaned well - The location was good - The roof garden was nice

Very disappointing: - Before arriving a e-mailed the hotel a couple of questions to which I got no reply - On arrival the room although cleaned well was VERY scruffy. Scuff marks all over the walls and generally looked very poorly maintained. - The booking clearly stated our room "had a balcony on which we could enjoy views of St Peters Dome". It doesn't. It has a rusty communal fire escape with views of a council block. - We got to breakfast with over an hour till it finished yet had to clear our own table, sit amongst all the other dirty plates and all the food/ drink hadn't been replenished. - The facilities were very poor. They didn't even have an iron in the whole hotel. Instead they sent me on a wild goose chase for a laundrette that didn't exist! Overall I thought for over 300 Euros the hotel Gravina was incredibly poor value for money. I've done alot of travelling and stayed in worse places for sure but I booked this for a romantic birthday present for my girlfriend and felt ripped off and lied to with regards to the quality of the accommodation. This is the only time I can think of that I have felt the need to write a review so other people don't have to get conned in the same way......

Too far from metro station

Very clean hotel. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Fabrizio is the front desk manager and a wider smile you couldn't find. He was so helpful with everything.

We have found in most of Italy there were no tea/coffee making facilities. It is so nice to return to your room after a day treading the city sightseeing, just to have a nice quiet cuppa in your room but apart from that, this hotel is great. Also no irons/ironing boards!!!!!

Clean room/ good breakfast /lovely staff. Our favourite was manager Fabrizio who did everything he could for us. He was truly wonderful.

Not really. We are staying there again at the moment and really enjoying our stay.
