Wir hatten eine eigene Dachterasse - das war abends wirklich schön.

Der Frühstücksraum ist meiner Meinung nach zu klein (zu eng)

das Apartementstudio war etwas ältlich möbliert mit einem lauten Kühlschrank; aber okay

Conveniently placed for the main train/bus station and also for access to several main attractions. There were numerous good restaurants and cafes in short walking distance from the hotel. The hotel breakfast was substantial and varied.The staff were absolutely brilliant! Thank you.

What's not to like?

The location was great. That's it.

The hotel is a hole in the wall. Everything in the hotel is so outdated, so uncomfortable, I would never recommend Hotel Grifo to anyone. The price for the room was outrageous. After a day's touring and sightseeing coming back to the room was depressing at best.

Staff were excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. Super location, good breakfast, good wifi.

It was convenient to a lot of things we wants to see and do. It was cozy and clean. It had a light breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and always there to greet you when you came in.

Just that we hated to leave.

Location, location, location! Very friendly & helpful staff. Good clean basic hotel, brilliant for the price we paid. Loads of bars & restaurants on the doorstep which meant after a long day on our feet a walk round the corner for a meal & a drink was just what we needed. Would stay here again.

Cramped breakfast room but this may be better in summer if the roof terrace opens up when the weather is more settled.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean. Close to colosseum. Well serviced by taxis. Plenty of choice of restaurants/cafes in vicinity.

The location is good, very close to Colosseum and other attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good compared to others.

Even if we expected room it to be small, it was really small. There are rooms that are ok, but there are also rooms that don't have even a window.

Everything was great, the staff was really nice, good value for money. Excelent location, close to subway, many shops and restaurants. I will definitely stay there again.

We have enjoyed our stay in Hotel Grifo! Best location in one of the last traditional quarter of Rome (Monti), high friendly staff, good breakfast as well common terrace with beautiful look over the neigbourhood roofs... Next time we don't need to search anything else.

Rooms are little bit small, but who wanted to stay in Rome at the hotel!

can be noisy at times

It's all about the staff ! This is a budget hotel and not a 5 star luxury establishment. It was however at least £200 less for our four night stay than others we looked at. Its spotlessly clean , the location is great but above all the staff were so friendly and helpful that I rapidly gained a real affection for the place and will go back if I am in Rome again. The little bar a few steps down the road is also very friendly and a good place to have that last drink before bed.

This is not 4 star luxury and doesn't pretend to be. Break fast is not what you would call exciting and the addition of a toaster in the breakfast room would have improved my stay but let's face it that's a detail !

Det staff was very helpfull and kind. Det lokacion was good. The hotel had the right dimension.

The lightning in the rooms were very bad. Only glow lamps - if any - at the bed. It was impossible to read in bed. We drew the attention about this to the staff before leaving, so we hope the hotel will make til lightning better, before we return.

Great staff! Hubby was sick and were very nice to him! Good location to colloseum can walk almost anywhere. Has bus stop outside hotel. Very clean.

Breakfast adequate- cereal and pastries.. Shower very small. No room for toiletries in shower.

The central location The kindness of the staff

The door was very difficult to lock and unlock. It usuallly took us 5 minutes to be able to enter and exit the room. One evening we remained locked inside the room and had to call reception for help (not very good in case of emergency situations...)
