Staff very helpful with recommendations and tips on how to avoid queues at the attractions. Fantastic location near to the Colosseum and not too far from the main train station. Good value for money. Water temperature of the shower was a bit temperamental.

I've liked the fact that it is in the center of the main attractions of Rome. Good Buffet breakfast and staff always smiling and v. friendly. Open 24 hrs daily. Cozy bedrooms, not big but comfort.

Location. Quiet room. Excellent helpfulness of one member of the staff. Room was impossibly small. Even a small person could not enjoy the miniscule shower. No telephone in room. Questionable cleanliness; had to point out debris blowing under door from construction in adjacent space to my room.. Very limited breakfast selections. Some staff offered no friendliness or helpfulness.

Besides the excellent location (walking distance to any principal site at ancient Rome) a special 10 points to the staff! Always ready to help, give information and recommendations with a smile, specially Rosa and Luigi.

Conveniently placed for the main train/bus station and also for access to several main attractions. There were numerous good restaurants and cafes in short walking distance from the hotel. The hotel breakfast was substantial and varied.The staff were absolutely brilliant! Thank you. What's not to like?

The location was great. That's it. The hotel is a hole in the wall. Everything in the hotel is so outdated, so uncomfortable, I would never recommend Hotel Grifo to anyone. The price for the room was outrageous. After a day's touring and sightseeing coming back to the room was depressing at best.

It was in an excellent location in the city centre. The metro was close by to visit all the tourist attractions. Staff were very friendly. Although I got a mail stating the rooms were small they were of a reasonable size and very clean

Location, location, location! Very friendly & helpful staff. Good clean basic hotel, brilliant for the price we paid. Loads of bars & restaurants on the doorstep which meant after a long day on our feet a walk round the corner for a meal & a drink was just what we needed. Would stay here again. Cramped breakfast room but this may be better in summer if the roof terrace opens up when the weather is more settled.

The location is good, very close to Colosseum and other attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good compared to others. Even if we expected room it to be small, it was really small. There are rooms that are ok, but there are also rooms that don't have even a window.
