Area information

A 5 minute bus ride south of Saluzzo, from outside the train station, is the Castello della Manta. This medieval fortress was transformed into a stately residence by the Saluzzo marquises in the 15th century. It contains Gothic frescoes in the Baronial Hall, one of which, illustrates the myth of the fountain of youth, with elderly people walking towards the magical waters while others impatiently rip off their clothes to plunge in. Another, the Nine Heroes and Nine Heroines, depicts chivalrous courtiers and exquisite damsels with elaborate costumes, standing beneath trees with coats of arms hanging from the branches.

From Turin (A6):
- Follow the A6 south and then exit onto the SP662 for Saluzzo.
- Continue straight at roundabout onto Via Scarnafigi and continue onto Via Savigliano.
- Turn right onto Corso XXVII Aprile, where you will find the hotel and parking.
