Clarion Collection Hotel Griso Lecco  

We stayed in the same room as last year this hotel offers fantastic service and incredible value for money the rooms are huge we had a junior suite, the balcony is big and overlooks the lake and the breakfast is plentiful with lots of choice.Staff are friendly and always happy to give tourist advice and there is parking right outside the doors

We noticed that since we stayed in the same suite as last year for some reason they had removed some of the furniture such as the sofa an armchair and a table which made the huge room look a bit sparce and defeats the object of having a suite.Also some of the walls needed a touch of paint there were signs of wear and tear since last year.The expensive hotel restaurant on the top floor which has amazing views which we had enjoyed a year ago was a real diappointment,although they now have a cheaper fixed menu for residents the a la carte was a total rip off my main course was the same size as my starter and if it wasn't for the fact I filled up on bread I would have left the restaurant starving.Although the service was excellent when paying this amount of money I shouldn't feel I need to eat again afterwards

Lovely view on Lake Como from room. All rooms have balconies. Clean room and helpful staff. The restaurant for dinner was rather expensive so not tried. Breakfast was superb.

It is a shame this hotel does not have a pool, as in 35 degree heat there is nowhere to swim. The website says there is a private beach at the hotel. Staff did not know of this and suggested a "beach" in next town. This was a grass park with no swimming allowed. If you want to explore Lake Como, this hotel and Lecco is too far away from Belagio and other towns. ( 1 hr by bus or boat). Lecco is an industrial town with not much interest compared to other towns on the lake.

Very good location, just next the lake. View from the room is amazing. Nice walk around the lake as well. No regret for choosong this hotel.

Parking space is limited.

The view over the lake and mountains was fantastic. Breakfast was really good. Location was good for exploring The Lakes by car. Free parking was handy.

The bed was quite hard and there was insufficient bedding meaning we were quite cold and uncomfortable during the night.

1-) Food in Terrace Restaurant was excellent, 2-) The view of the hotel was nice, 3-) The attitude of the staff was kind.

1-)The properties of Junior Suites have to be specified better.. In not every of the suites there are sofas and the view is as shown. 2-) Amenity kits such as shampoo, shower gel etc. is not given everyday; cleaners were not giving attention to the number of towels that they took and replace. 3-) Rooms (mostly under the restaurant on fourth floor) on the third floor were having noise.

Our stay at the hotel was just great, with fantastic views both from the room and restuarant. Very helpful staff, free parking, free internet and comfortable and spacious room. This is not a complain, but tea and coffee making facility in the room, would add that little extra comodity. Well done, we shall be back.

Beautiful view on the lake and on Lecco

The room smelled of sewer, it had probably not been used for quite a time. The room was quite small too.

Without doubt the food was among the best I have ever tasted. It was excellent and was combined with very good levels of service, most notably from the waiting staff. This comment applies to both our evening meal and the breakfast. A close second is the view from the room. Overlooking the lake and the town of Lecco, with the mountains as a backdrop, it was breathtaking. The hotel was clean and tidy and the standard of service throughout was a credit to the establishment.

The only critisism I would have is that the outside of the hotel looks a bit tired. I think that this is the nature of concrete and there is probably not much that can be done about it, but it does give a first impression that is less than favourable. The arhitecture isn't especially attractive, but again it serves only to give an impression that is soon dispelled once inside. These are minor points.

Great location with a fantastic view from the balcony of the lake, mountains and Lecco town. 10 minutes walk into Lecco. Good size room with very good and quiet air con. Staff very friendly.

Not a problem for us, but the walk may be a bit much if you are bad on your feet. Coffee in the machine at breakfast was terrible but you also had other options on offer. None of the above would stop me returning.

The Restaurant has the most amazing views of Lecco the lake and the mountains behind Lecco. The restaurant offers exceptional food and service. The staff speak English and were at all times professional and helpful.

The rooms have views and are of exceptional quality.
