Loved the location, the restaurant was everything we hoped for and more ... not just another pretty location, the food was 5 star! We stay in a room over looking the sea and slept with the window open to fresh salt air. You cannot get closer to the sea than this. The management parked our car for us and were extremely accommodating, the hotel is really special and I would stay there again ... maybe just to have the same dining experience, but don't miss walking through this village and visiting the cove, this is a hidden treasure!
The restaurant is 5 star, the hotel is 4.5 star, only because it is older and not really updated, but it was clean and had wonderful charm.
This hotel is well located and the shower was very good.
Mattress was extremely soft and led to back ache (we are in our 30s so not a common problem!). Certain members of staff were bordering on rude.
The hotel is a lovely surprise. The view is spectacular. The cave restaurant is wonderful. The room was a good size as was the bathroom.
If you leave the window open, the door will slam shut. It scared the heck out of me.
The view from the room is stunning and the breakfast was good. The hotel is situated very nicely in the city centre.
The staff weren't nice (almost rude) and the room was OK.
The sea view from our room.
The image of an attractive, bright room that was displayed on the website was very misleading. To our horror we arrived to find a run down and neglected building with a musty scent as we climbed the stairs to the reception area. We were ignored by the receptionist for several minutes as he read through a page in front of him. He seemed irritated by our presence and after 10 minutes we were abruptly shown to our room without any information about check out times, breakfast etc. The decor in the room was shabby, what you may expect from a budget nursing home that hasn't been decorated since the 70's. The staff were rude, inattentive and pretentious. I witnessed couples being turned away from the massively overpriced restaurant as they had ' inappropriate' footwear or trousers on. The restaurant remained empty throughout our stay as people walked out due to their 3 course minimum policy and €10 service charge. We checked out at 11 am and left our luggage in reception for a few hours. When we returned to collect it, I approached the same man that we had dealt with during our 2 day stay to notify him that we were taking our bags and he asked me if I wanted a room for the night. He pays such little attention to his customers that he fails to recognise them after a matter of hours of checking out.
Loved everything! The beach, Fly is a must as is the bicycle tour of the local olive grove.
Waiting for checks after a meal.
Location in Centro Storico
Hotel hasn't been renovated since decades
Amazing scenery! Absolutely beautiful area.
A beautiful location ....a little bit expensive
If you want to eat at restaurant of the hotel you have to reserve before few days / weeks
The location is perfect. We had dinner in the Restaurant in the Grotta and it was amazing! Breathtaking views. The staff was very attentive! Our Sea View room had fantastic views .
we were going home :(
Everything was perfect! Thankyou so much for a vacation of a lifetime! The locals that were the staff were welcoming and helpful. The view is like no other! Polignano with Love is just around the corner and Dominisio and other staff have perfect suggestions tailored to your needs! Again thankyou!
You cannot sit in bar or restaurant just to have a glass of wine despite staying at the hotel. You have to have dinner reservations which we do one night. This should be open to guests at all times. Latte and breakfast were excellent as well!
lack of internet, shabbiness of hotel
Decor and location
Loved the cave restaurant.
The view is great
the restaurant is extremely over rated. The view is great the location unique, but the service is poor the food is average and the pricing is silly. Also our waiter made us order more then we wanted and we ended up spending 200 EURS on more food then anyone could eat.
The hotel is in a wonderful location to enjoy everything about Polignano A Mare. Our room had a specacular view overlooking the sea. The hotel's restaurant is in a grotto and serves gourmet dinners,
very dated room - 70s style decor service car parking in very narrow streets extremely poor value for money
too many to list :(
The view from the small balcony in the room was magnificent. The location of the property is amazing. The cave restaurant is also a very unusual experience.
Not all the rooms look like the one advertised with a cave feel to it. Our room for instance was a very modern style room. The shower is very tiny and movement is very restricted. The wifi does not pick up in the rooms and you will need to go to the reception area for signal
The location and cave restaurant in the basement.
hotel rooms small and interior decoration was faded
Building work starting at 6.30 am
Our rooms did not look like the pictures featured on the website. Also, the website showed a lovely terrace. Unfortunately, we were told this was part of a private room. Then the next day we found what looked to be an entrance. This was both confusing and disappointing as I had really been looking forward to sunbathing on this terrace. And there had been nothing to indicate this was private. Actually, the way it was featured on the website any reasonable person would have assumed it was for general use.
Room very quain and right on the cliff esge
Restaurant a complete rip off, staff rude. Food was amazing but ridiculous price despite being in the grotto, with all associated birds flying overhead etc
The room is old fashioned, worn furniture, very small room. Outdated bathroom
Location was fantastic. Staff very helpful. Views amazing
Restaurant in grotto very very expensive and not so great
