In a 19th-century building, the Quirinale is a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. This historic hotel is connected to Rome Opera House through a passageway in its leafy courtyard.

Score from 57 reviews Wonderful
Convenient location for public transportation and attractions; Helpful, friendly staff; Good breakfast; Clean
Inner city feel, slightly run down area; No fitness facilities; Older facilities in general (but maintained well)
Less than 10 minutes walk from the railway station, close to all the monuments, and easy to get to the main bus station to catch the number 64 to the Vatican. Also tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Would suggest bacon instead of the awful sausages at breakfast, otherwise everything was good.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and it did not disappoint. We had a suite that included a bedroom, living room with fireplace and marble bathroom with decent bathtub. They had upgraded us. We ate dinner at the rooftop garden and it was just lovely. Although a bit pricey, we had been given a twenty five percent discount. We spent two days here before our cruise and location is great. Close to the train station and a decent walk to attractions.when in Rome we will stay here again. By the way, breakfast buffet is great!
A bit worn but charm exudes.
This was our fourth stay at the Mecenate and enjoyed it every bit as well as our first stay. The staff did a great job and the Restaurant was excellant. Till next visit.....Good bye.
This is our 3rd visit at Christmas time in three years. As ever the staff were very helpful and the buffet breakfast(included in price) was excellent and plentiful.
In our opinion there is nothing to dislike.
This hotel is situated at walking distance from everywhere you would like to go in Rome. Staff is friendly and speak good english. Hotel has an ancient air and decoration :)
They should change the company that makes the transfers from airport as we booked a transfer and had to wait 30 min for our driver ! Rooms at last floor are not very good as you can hear all the activity at the restaurant on the top floor!
Excellent room overlooking the Basilica . Worth the extra money .
Nothing, everything was good
not right in city center but close to main attractions and good restaurant options, 5 minutes walking distance to main train station Termini. Breakfast menu almost same everyday, with plenty options. offering convenient stay at a reasonable price.
doesn't meet any high expectations
10 minutes from Termini, 15 minutes from Colosseum, Rooftop terrace view of Santa Maria Maggiore, Old-fashioned vintage decor
Bland and boring breakfast
Staff were warm and helpful. The room was perfect. And the location was great. I would recommend it to anyone.
Everything Especially the cappucino - we live in london and have forgotten what a real cappucino tastes like! On request Staff will order a Mercedes to bring you to the airport. Fantastico!
Nichts - nada - niete -
Comfort, cleanliness, location and Jacuzzi bath. Received a 25% voucher for the Roof Top Restaurant on our first night and the food and service was excellent.
Breakfast was really disappointing (1) Staff service poor. No one checks to see that you have everything you need i.e. milk for tea. Had to ask for it every morning. (2) An 'American Breakfast' was served which was basically a Continental breakfast with hot dogs! (3) We didn't expect to have to pay for bacon and scrambled eggs in a 4* hotel. (4) Hot water for tea was served in flasks and was luke warm. Coffee was served in a pot, why can't tea be served in a pot?? There was no hot water available on last night or morning before we left so was disappointed not to be able to have one last bathe in the Jacuzzi! On check out was told there had been a few problems, no offer of compensation, only an apology.
The hotel is within walking distance from Colosseum and many other attractions. Easy also to take the metro to the Vatican. Nice view from the rooftop restaurant. Stayed in the new annex part of the hotel and the room was nice and tidy and no disturbance from the surroundings.
The immediate area around the hotel isn't maybe that great. Hotel breakfast could be better with more choice of bread etc. but still descent for being Italy.
I liked the location I liked the ground floor area the staff were very friendly and helpful I felt very secure there not being Italian myself and not having the language
The bedrooms were a little small
Really enjoyed our stay
Location, roof terrace remarkably dry in an incredible downpour
Room next to lift shaft, amazingly bad restaurant suggestions from concierge
We spent a couple of nights here at the end of a cruise. It was perfect. The rooftop restaurant was the best. The staff were all very attentive and helpful. We will stay here again when we go back to Rome.
For 320 Euros, my expectations were probably too high. So, I am the culprit...!
Couldn't beat the location! In walking distance of so many things.
Poor wifi, tv did not work.
the hotel is very quite and the rooms are very clean. It is right across from Santa Maria maggiore - a site you should visit (including the underground Roman villa) 2 blocks from a metro stop and three from the major train/metro station (Termini). The rooftop restaurant/bar is spectacular both for the food and the view albeit a bit pricey (normal in Rome)
the breakfast was a bit lacking for an "American" breakfast.
Hotel is very well located to visit many of the sights in Rome by walking. Really nice view from the roof terrace. We had room on the 4th floor with very nice direct view to the basilica/church.
The breakfast is poor. No fresh bread (as it seems to be common in Italy). The quality of food on roof top restaurant is not really value for money.
Excellent location, lovely view from our room of Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, enjoyed having a meal and a few cocktails on the rooftop garden.Giovanni very helpful and really friendly.
Asked for room service one night and was told it wasn't available and to use rooftop restaurant.
Mold smell in hallway to room.
The location. The views over Rome from the rooftop bar and the view from my window.
Being charged extra for a bacon and egg breakfast
