We booked a triple room and it was nice, different and spacious. Staff was friendly and very helpful when asking for directions or tips for restaurants. We liked the breakfast place and the breakfast itself was good too. The hotel is within walking distance of Trastavere where there are a lot of well priced restaurants. If you like walking, you could even walk to the main attractions in the city, however, public transport is good to get there too and very near the hotel.

Not a lot of room in the bathroom to put your toiletries, the matrasses need replacement soon as you could feel the springs trying to come through and the view from the hotel is not great, but the inside definitely makes up for it.

Nothing in particular except that an internet access cost 13 eur per day which is what one pays for a whole month at home...... They had out- sourced this service, but it is a fundamental facility nowadays and should be free of charge, especially in a business hotel.

Breakfast was generous and fresh (although fruit juices were out of a dispenser).

Room door locks on the whole floor didn't work. Had to call for staff each time to get the door open. Floor used and stained, to the point we were afraid to walk barefoot. Water infiltration on the balcony. No equipment in the kitchen (who travels with a kettle ?). Only one sheet + bedcover + blanket on the bed, and they weren't impeccable. Heating didn't work well (had to turn it on, and impossible to turn it off). Asked for a duvet, but obtained another blanket. Tv was not flat and only 10". Bathroom : poor & scratchy towels, old washbasin, pvc bin, toilet paper roll was not new, and no spare roll available. Nothing in the bathroom to put our products, not even a small shelf. Apparently all rooms on that floor had problems. Our room didn't look at all like the pictures of the one we had booked online. Imagine the deception for people travelling in Rome for new year's eve. No compensation given by the staff, no reaction given even to the door problems. This doesn't deserve ****.

It's very close to Trastevere area, it's a 5 mins ride (by taxi) to Trastevere rail station and 10 mins walk to Testaccio, where you can find fab restaurants. There is very little traffic near the hotel, the rooms are really quiet. This is not the case in many other hotels in Rome.

Location was the purpose in choosing Ripa, but everything else turned out to be more than expected. The staff at the front desk was excellent- knowlegeable, helpful with city sites and public transportation, and ideas for dining. Especially the young woman on the day staff by name of Alyssia was so helpful, personable, and most gracious. Breakfast room was delightful and the best service and food on our trip. Room was clean, very comfortable, and provided all necessities. Very pleased with the Ripa and would certainly reccommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

It was beautiful. We were allowed early check-in, and the receptionists at the desk were very helpful. They offered maps and information about where we needed to go, they offered to hold our luggage for us while we had breakfast, and the service was very friendly. Breakfast was included, and it was served in a lovely dining area: beautiful design and clean. The breakfast food was wonderful, leaving us with an overall great impression of the hotel. No complaints.

Rooms were huge. Breakfast was amazing.

From the outside this hotel doesn't look very inviting ! This however does not do the place justice. It's very comfortable inside and well decorated. A fantastic breakfast with plenty of it. The staff at reception are friendly and professional as are the hard working breakfast staff. Our room was great. Plenty of space and the air con worked great.

Difficult to find ! But the area around about is nice. Apart from that no probs.

Helpful staff, especially at the reception a woman named Sabine. Location was superb. Hotel on a quiet street in the "best" district of Rome.

The price of Internet access in the room and in the lobby was quite difference, with access in the room much more expensive than in the lobby. It would be helpful if information about metro, trams, buses were fully available at the reception; however, this is probably a Rome not a hotel problem. Rome is hard to navigate without knowing its social organization.

Location of the hotel. Near restaurant & bar area and easy access to public transportation. The room was spacy, clean and quiet and looked nice. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff.

The Internet was expensive, should be free of charge or cheaper in 4 star hotel.
