I actually did not stay in Ave Popolo but in the other one they own, with a chinese name, cuz they had some issues with the hot water. It was ok...but not a good choice for more than 1-2 nights
Location, room size
Nobody there when we arrived, after three cut off phone calls where we were told 'no English, goodbye' had to ring booking.com who rang the hotel owners to tell them we were there even though I'd managed to say in Italian that we had a reservation and were at the entrance.
Location was convenient but not a nice area.
DO NOT STAY here!!! There was a problem with my credit card so they CANCELLED THE RESERVATION WITH OUT TELLING ME. When we arrived there was no one there!! They sent us to another of there places. didnt get ensuite tv or ac but paid the same price. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!
Great location, right next to the metro station, and a few minutes walk from Termini. I had the room with en suite bathroom, and it was quite nicely outfitted. I had to argue for the AC remote to turn it on. The other rooms I believe have shared bathroom. The staff was very helpful.
The sink was leaking a bit, towel a bit small but that is what you expect from budget accommodation. The biggest problem was that one night some drunk students in the hostel were quite drunk, noisy and had a fight. Perhaps not the best place for a kid, because students are more likely to be rowdy
Nice quiet room
The location was very handy to the romantic termini but unfortunately that area of roam is a bit rough
I liked that it was really near the colosseum and that the subway is in front The beds aré comfortable and all rooms have their prívate bathroom
I didnt like that personal is a little bit rough, there is no one on the reception at night and when its time for check out theyre more rough, the personal is a chinese and an árab person that dont speak any language Well so its difficult to understand them and the price is too high for what it is.
Next to the metro station
The lift is dangerous and awful. The place doesn't have any sign so it could be hard to find for tourists. They don't accept credit card payment. They ask 20 euros additional as a deposit for the keys. I stayed two nights and after the first night they asked me to move to another room because a family was coming so I had to pack everything again and move. They don't have anyone there or anything close to a reception, so you need to tell them the exact hour of your arrival, if not you won't have a way to enter to the place. For the breakfast you need to wait for someone to be there and knock at your door, if you are taking a shower at the exact moment they are serving the breakfast you will miss it. I don't recommend this place to anyone
Clean,comfort and staff friendliness.
Access and initially making contact with someone
Near the main train station
Street noise makes sleeping almost impossible. No facilities at all. No real Hotel Reception. Impossible to pay online or with credit card during my stay.
I liked the room, clean bathroom and acces to wifi
No access to kitchen or at least a kettle or hot water, the wardrobes were locked and we weren't allowed to use them so we had to keep clothes in bags on the floor and under beds. The people in the hotel were local "business" women and the area was really dangerous and unfriendly. The hotel was just 3 rooms in a flat on high floor without reception. Entrance to the flat downstairs was accessible to local tramps sleeping and drinking there.
the guest house was in a horrible area. The building was in poor shape. They insisted on cash instead of credit card. Very unpleasant experience. It was difficult to communicate with the staff. Terrible breakfast.
Good location, friendly atmosphere.
When we needed help with printing important data- the stuff had no printer+ they had no idea where to find one.
The man looking after us was very nice
Room on fourth floor of a very old building on a very busy street, with trams and busses running till very late and no double glazing on window, so was very noisy. Not much in way of facilities.
