Excellent service. Good breakfast

Yeah! That's the one. Affittacamere Monterosso 5 Terre is very good ; 1 min walking to the beach, romantic, comfortable, and breakfast is wonderful (set in small garden, plenty of tastefuls). Many travelers talked about Cherry (landlady), and they're right ; Cherry is just awesome!

We stayed in the 4-person apartment, and the room was very nice and had modern decor. I particularly liked the furnishings, the bed was extremely comfortable (I'm fairly picky about beds) and was much bigger than European standards. The bathroom was really nice, and I like the slate tiling in the entire area. The 4-person room actually has enough beds for 6 people, but since we were only 2, we didn't utilize the rest. Breakfast is amazing - and they offer eggs (scrambled or omelette) in the morning. On a rainy day, they suggested that we eat in our room (we had a dining table) instead of in the open garden. That was fantastic since they served us everything inside our room, including all the sides like fruit, honey/jams, juice, coffee/tea, bread, cold cuts, cheese, etc. Location was great, Monterosso isn't so big. It's about a 10 minute walk to the train station, but situated right near a bunch of great restaurants and ATM! Also, Cherry and Gian Luigi were fantastic laid back hosts, and provided great restaurant recommendations.

Nothing - would come back here again in a heart beat. They even provided a dehumidifier for us when it was getting slightly humid out so that we would be comfortable. No hotel I've stayed at does that.

Staff were excellent and the breakfast included a nice omelette - Not common in Italy. Location and quality of room was excellent - very modern fittings.

Room had a loft bedroom with narrow stairs - not ideal for the less able or night time visits to the washroom.

The owner Cherry was very accommodating for my family and even upgraded us to a bigger room when one became available in order for us to be more comfortable (at the same room rate as the smaller room). Breakfast was delicious - they made omelets for my daughters, made great cappuccinos, and offered to go get my daughter who did not like the filling in the brioche a plain one. Would definitely stay here as a family again!

The staff was so nice. Breakfast was excellent served in a cute little courtyard. It really felt like home away from home.

We loved everything about this B&B! The owners are amazing and made us feel at home. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We had an amazing alfresco breakfast each morning with the best cappuccino I've ever tasted! We had all the modern conveniences with the charm of Monetrosso just outside our door.

Cherry and Gianni made us feel very welcome going out of their way to send someone out to the train station to meet us (even though we unfortunately missed him). We arrived late morning and Cherry still fixed all of us a wonderful breakfast. We were provided with local information regarding walking trails restaurants and train information. After 2 nights stay we again had an early morning start and Cherry checked the train schedules and provided us with another lovely cooked breakfast and then proceeded to drive us to the train station as it was raining. I would highly recommend a stay with Cherry and Gianni. Thank you.

Our kids were so excited to have their own mezzanine floors to sleep on. Very comfortable, clean and quiet and in the loveliest town. Wished we had stayed longer.

John Luigie and his wife Cherrry (not certain of the spelling) were wonderfully accomodating. From the moment we arrived, as we shared what we might do, until the moment we left, they offered excellent suggestions--clearly wanting us to have the best time possible. Our trip was in early December where we experienced some rain and not all of the businesses were open. But being prepared for that meant it was not the least bit infringing on our enjoyment. The breakfast included with the room price, the charming patio where it is served and the amazing enchangment of the ancient village made our one-day stay at Affitacamere Monterosso 5 Terre a bright memorable spot of our two week trip.

It's not just this location but all that we visited - pillows. Everyone has their own preference. I don't understand why all accomodations don't provide some "down soft like" some "foam firm like" pillows. It's an easy and very inexpensive attention to detail for the personal preference and enjoyment of guests.

Situated on a guiet street in old town Monterosso. Luigi and Cherry went out of their way to make our stay pleasurable. Luigi even met us at the square to guide us to their place. The breakfasts were awesome. Stayed in November and there were no crowds at all, however a lot of businesses were closed for season but still plenty to do. Only about a 10 minute walk to train station.

Cherry and Gian Luigi (hosts) were very accommodating and considerate. Gian Luigi met me at the train station and pointed out local eateries worth checking out. Cherry made sure I needed everything and coordinated my meet up with Gian Luigi and even made breakfast for me earlier than usual because I had to catch a train. On my first night, I had a drink with Gian Luigi and his friends as if I were one of the gang. In sum, Affitacamere Monterosso 5 Terre is definitely a place worth staying. Location was fantastic and the room was comfortable, cozy and clean.

The location was perfect. Right in the middle of shopping, food, beach, taxi. Very Italian. Loved it.

The room was small. But it was fine. Everything in Italy is small. Not like the US.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff and hosts. Quiet location. Lots of restaurants and shops close to the accommodation. Fridge, kettle and safe in our room. Complimentary pick up from and return trip to the train.

Curtains too light so did not block out street light. Only one out of three lights in the bathroom working. Plug not working in hand basin.

The accommodation at Affittacamere Monterosso 5 Terre was.very good. Airconditiong was very effective. Our room was just off the breakfast area which was convenient. A great range of breakfasts which included the option of scrambled eggs or omlette. We were close to a range of shops which included restaurants. Boats to other towns and the train station were only a 10 minute walk. There were some signs of works going on after the October 2011 landslides but it didn't seem to have any effect on accommodation and the vast majority of businesses when we were there. No major problems with language/communicating in English and my very limited Italian.

We had to make sure we phoned the day before to ensure someone would be there when we checked in. This wasn't a great problem as we were met on our arrival.

The position in the town was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

the owners are wonderful, very helpful on places to eat and info about the area, the breakfast in the little court yard is gorgeous, rooms were very nice and felt modern for the area

The owners were wonderful and so accommodating. Everything about this hotel was great -- location, breakfast, rooms, comfort. I would without a doubt recommend this hotel to anyone.

Everything! the rooms were lovely and clean, the brekky was amazing, the location is close to town and the beach, the staff are amazing...lovely husband/wife team...did not want to leave and will definately be going back!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Guan and Cherry were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with variety of fresh fruit, breads, meats and great omlettes. Our room was on the courtyard, so plenty of room to spread. Getting to the hotel was difficult but then cars not allowed in town. We parked at top of hill at 18 euros per 24 hours, we were there for 36 hours but charged full amount. If traveling by car suggest you only pay for hours stay as attendant will charge full day.

Nothing really, the room was a little small for 3 people, but with courtyard it was comfortable.

The reception, with Focaccia, fruit and juice, was awesome, a well received surprise. They know the good restaurants to send you, and the place is near the station without being too close. The breakfast was very good also. Bathroom very good, good bed also.

There was a pumping noise at night from some nearby place, that sometimes was too loud to sleep well. But I do believe it's a temporary nuisance, because Monterosso is still recovering from the catastrophic floods of last october, and you can see some reconstruction work going on. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Everything. Easy walk from train. Easy walk around town. Easy walk to beaches. Hosts wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful. Great breakfast all included. Nice to see the town recovering after the floods
