Everything. Great place to stay.
Location, location, location
Sparce facilities in room and no onsite breakfast
Mr. Dario Fontanelli was very kind and helpful. the location of the hotel is great and you can walk from the train station in 15-20 minutes. The hotel is very close to ponte vecchio
Had a great stay, and the innkeeper was very nice, and reachable when we needed anything. Nicely appointed room was just what we needed, with a better-than-expected location, making it easy to reach popular sites on foot, like Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, and even Accademia Gallery.
A little noisy at night, but it's just because this is a "happening" city! Lots going on into the early hours of the morning. If you're a light sleeper, it may keep you awake.
Hotels in Florence are horrendously expensive, so we looked at other types of accommodation, such as B&B, residenzias, pensiones, etc. We found Guiciardini24 by pure chance. There were very few reviews on travel sites, but they all spoke very highly of that B&B. And rightly so! What a perfect little gem a few steps away from Ponte Vecchio, in Oltrarno. Dario, who is the owner and designer of the establishment, was a most welcoming, personable and helpful host. The B&B is totally new and frankly makes you feel that you are in a boutique hotel! We were overwhelmed… The decoration and lighting is very modern and in the best of taste (white, grey, black), combining glass, wood, metal, leather, and the room was impeccably clean. Don’t miss out on this B&B – we highly recommend it!
Dario, the owner, was very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are ultramodern and spotless. Location is very close to the Pitti Palace.
The breakfast is in a bar very close to hotel. It doesn't compare to breakfasts I have had in other Italian hotels which had a wide range of choices. I think the breakfast could be improved.
The room was fantastic. Very clean, modern, and comfortable bed! Location was perfect just over the Ponte Vecchio.
The entry to the building didn't have lights on anytime we returned. It's a bit scary walking into a dark hallway at night. The light switch was easily found but I felt the entry way should have been better lit. Also the staff only gave us one key to our room.
Lovely place: nicely decorated, helpful staff, great location (close to Ponte Vecchio, lovely square with restaurants nearby). Highly recommended!
The b&b was located very close to the Ponte Vecchio on the South side of the Arnon on a very busy street close to the Pitti Palace. The modern room and bathroom was a good size and had everything we needed. Breakfast was via voucher at a cafe across the street (a panini, fresh juice, and an excellent cappuccino was fine for us). It was nice to have a kettle in the room.
We would've like our towels changed daily instead of every three days (we left on the third day so we didn't receive fresh towels at all during our stay).
-Location: Right in the centre of Florence (and quite at the same time) -Host: Dario was very kind and helpful - excellent service overall -Room: Very clean; covering all basic needs
-Breakfast not provided in the actual building of the B&B...Instead it is provided by a place right across the building of the B&B.
The room itself was beautiful - black & white and minimalist. Design was a high priority and everything was perfect in the room. The bathroom was lovely too. Everything was there for a traveller's needs and it was easy to get in and out. Close to all the attractions, being close to the Ponte Vecchio. A BEAUTIFUL room!
The ceiling was traditional with old beams. The trouble was the noise from upstairs was accentuated by these floorboards above. Footsteps above kept waking me up during the night as they echoed into my room. Another detail that could have been there was an ipod player. The main criticism is the fact that for breakfast, a local cafe is used. The cafe is strictly limited as to what they offer the guest, compared to B&Bs with breakfast room and kitchen on site.
Location and spaceous room very well decorated
Beautiful room! Perfect balance between old and new. Lack of 24hr staff meant we felt like natives coming home every day to our own little apartment! Fantastic service; Dario & staff were so lovely! Very chilled atmosphere. Was the best place to relax away from the bustle of central Florence (even though it was right on our doorstep). Brilliant location and stellar experience! Would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to feel at home amongst the Florentines!
Only one (not very big) mirror in room, which for 2 young women was sometimes a bit tricky when getting ready to go out!
Owner was very informative and polite. The rooms were fabulous, very clean minimalistic look and very trendy. Location to all the attractions was ideal.
Check-out is 10am which is too early especially when you have a late departing flight.
We can't speak highly enough of this lovely B&B - I'd call it a boutique hotel - just 2 minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio, so in the vibrant, interesting Oltrarno area, well worth exploring for a taste of 'the real Florence' away from the major tourist areas. '24' is quite minimalist in its interior design, and so offers a somewhat welcome counterpoint to the Rennaisance glories of Florence! Everything is spanking new, high quality, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Dario himself - what can I say - nothing was any trouble, he is the perfect host, and even when I screwed up in a fairly major way on the booking, he sorted it out with absolute calm, charm and efficiency. Excellent value too for location and quality. Breakfast in the pasticerria across the street was also excellent - juice, good coffee and a very filling hot sandwich (other things on offer but we wanted to have plenty to keep us going all morning) which was delicious. We only stayed one night sadly, but if we return to Florence this is where we would stay. By the way, in the evening, we decided to stay in Oltrarno, had drinks at the rooftop bar of the hotel diagonally opposite 24, Hotel Scalleta, which has views over the rooftops to the Duomo and part of the Bobolli Gardens then meandered through the backstreets to Olio et Convivium where we had a delicious meal and gorgeous Tuscan organic wine. On the way back we retraced our steps through Piazza della Passera which by now was buzzing with local life, so we stopped and had a couple of drinks there from the tiny Çafe Della Artigliani on the corner, people watching and enjoying the ambience. There may be swankier, undoubtedly pricier places to stay than 24 but you won't do better for comfort, care, cleanliness or value - Dario's commitment to what he is doing makes this stand out from the crowd.
nothing we didn't like - it's fab
Perfect location. Extremely nice facility (still brand-new). Very clean. Staff nice and usefull (thanks again, Dario!). Surprising high value for money. Definitely, recommended.
Pretty much, nothing.
This is a 5 star apartment B&B. The room we had was fabulous. Decorated and furnished by someone who has an eye for art and design. Super comfy king size bed, very spacois room, tea&coffee facilities, fridge, tv, wifi, hair drier etc. The B&B is litterally a stones throw from two of the main Florence attractions and situated on the main route into the heart of Florence. When we go back to Florence we will stay here again.
Excellent location and extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Location, staff, decor!
Parking not available and very expensive
Dario was a fantastic host and a wonderful bonus to our trip. He was always ready to assist, advise and help with planning. The accommodation was fabulous, very modern and slick, as was the location. The restaurants nearby are fantastic. We could not recommend this B&B enough!
Dario's personalized service was much appreciated.
More comprehensive breakfasts at Maioli.
Top class accommodation in a premium location. Will certainly return and stay there again.
That we had to leave !!!
Attention was impeccable! The one that makes you feel like home. Location is perfect, in the very center next to the major sights. Great idea of breakfast in an antique bakery in front. Simply consider ourselves to be lucky to have found this amazing place
Ask explicitly how to turn off the air conditioner. It took us almost half an hour at midnight.. The beds are so hard I got up with a bruise.. But it's a question of preference.
100% good in all aspects… It will be my first choice when next visiting Florence.
All has been wonderful, particularly the kindly help by the owner of the hotel.
