The location is superb with stunning views of the coastline. There were even more steps down from the road to the hotel than we expected despite reading previous reviews. There are 3 chair lifts which make the ascent/descent much easier. We are walkers but found the ascent up from Amalfi very hard and only did it once - the bus service is very good and takes about 15 mins from the port to the road above the hotel. We were not allowed to enter the hotel through the main reception apart from first arrival and subsequently had to use a rough track through the garden. This did not feel very welcoming. Is this normal or only at end of season?

Fabulous views, unique position. We were walking each day so it meant less climbing. Lovely Valle delle Ferriere walk starts in nearby Pogerola. It is a long walk up, so we took the bus, but this meant it was lovely and quiet

Pros - incredibly beautiful view, really nice women who run the place (who will make you a nice dinner at the hotel even), air conditioner in room works well tip: buy a sita bus pass Cons - worse mattress we had in Italy and could feel the springs (all other mattresses we had in Italy were great - being firm foam mattresses). We are big hikers but the stairs do get to you.. Counted 853 down to Amalfi (where you need to go to catch the buses to anywhere outside Amalfi) or 300+ stairs up where you can catch a bus to Amalfi. But Amalfi Coast is all up high with many stairs everywhere. They did install a lift if you want to take it with your bags (but its painfully slow..)

The hostess emailed us 3 days before to fix a place where to meet us - later on we realized that otherwise it is impossible to find the hotel. You need to park on the hill, then go down lots of stairs (they also have a lift but very slow). The view to Amalfi coast is fantcastic, but to go to the seashore you need about 20 mins walk downstairs. Room is very comfortable and neat Breakfast could be more various (at least have some fruits of cornflakes)

Service was amazing. Antoinetta, Sonia were so attentive and caring about our comfort. Croissants and breakfast were warm and very good. Loved it there. Wish it was more convenient to amalfi coast but all in all a wonderful experience. Closer ro coast would have been nice.

The hotel has a splendind view over Amalfi coast. It is sourranded by nature with a nice swimming pool. It is not too easy to reach (if you are someone used to park in front of the entrance and if you don't like walking) but if you are looking for something special is definetely worth it! The staff is very nice...Antonietta, Salvatore and his wife are very friendly and helpful. They run a restaurant in the centre of Amalfi where we had a great dinner.

The staff were very helpful & friendly! The location was fantastic, beautiful views & a gorgeous downhill walk to the beach. Hotel was hard to find, head to Hotel Excelsior and on entering their driveway, look to your left to which you will find a little gate to H.H.Le Palme - there isn't the typical signage. Otherwise, call them & they will come to the top to greet you but the key is head to Hotel Excelsior

We loved the location and the views at Le Palme. It was very affordable. We thought it was fun to explore the surrounding area, although we got a little tired of the steps. We are really athletic, so they made our stay fun. We could walk down to the center of Amalfi within 20 minutes and there are also plenty of buses to take. The staff was very sweet and helpful. Honestly, it was a great deal and it was absolutely gorgeous. But I have to say, the affiliated restaurant Le Palme in Atrani was by far the best restaurant we ate at during our stay in Italy. Excellent food, excellent service, and pretty affordable. It's totally worth the walk to the neighboring town. You won't be disappointed. Breakfast was quite boring. We were given the same thing everyday and it would have been really nice to have variety. A suggestion to help this would be to offer some fresh fruit for breakfast. The surrounding area offer such wonderful produce and it would have been nice to have that with breakfast. However, the cappuccino was very good. Also, the first night we stayed, our room wasn't cleaned and we felt the floor of the bathroom and bedroom could have been cleaner.

Beautiful landscape from the terrace and the breakfast was good 1) The hotel is not in Amalfi city. It takes 15 minutes and 8 km by car to get the hotel as it is in the top of the city then you need to go 300 steps downstairs. Walking you need at least 20 minutes taking down a horrible staircase then taking up a bus 2) The room was quite unclean, smelled funny and the blankets smelled filthy. I think they didn´t get washed ever!!!!! 3) The free parking is not a parking but you leave the car in the street close to other hotel. If they is not free space there, you have to leave the car in the verge road. 4) no swimming pool at all, it´s being constructed 5) Once, you get the hotel you will be charged with the total amount to avoid missing the hotel in case you don´t like the facilities 6) a bird cage in the kitchen where the food is prepared.

A very splendid stay! Helpful and hearty staff. Rooms are clean and nice not too big though but hey, who spends a holiday in a hotelroom.. There's no complaining about the stairs that everyone is talking. They are not that bad for a healthy person. You can get to a bus stop by lift if you want so you don't have to walk those stairs at all. And a longer walk to centre of Amalfi is a nice experience with great views. I highly recommend this place!

We experienced wonderful hospitality from the hosting family. They do now have a lift that takes your suitcases up and down the stairs so no need to avoid this wonderful little find because of the stairs. It had great views from our room and balcony. Slightly dated furniture

Not much, the stuff was OK. The rest was nightmare. The hotel have more than 300 steps separate between him and any road near by. I am young and in great shape - so 300 steps are nothing for me, but there were no normal steps! it took us about 75 minutes to check in, since we were naive to think it would take us only 2-3 minutes to reach to the hotel (so we didn't take our bags with us first time). The room had no window - only exit to balcony - and it was shared balcony - so you couldn't have a minute of privacy. Any case - I wouldn't recomment it to anyone ...

Disponibilità del personale. Vista fantastica.

Just a great hotel in a mountain! Hotel is a little hard to find. But you must go directly to the Hotel "Excelsior", where just before the hotel are the stairs down to H. H. Le Palme. When compared to a little above the Excelsior Hotel, H. H. Le Palme is much more romantic. The hotel has a pool, so if you are lazy, you can do not step down the stairs to the sea. The rooms are very nice and clean. You can go to the city down by long stairs, but to return take a bus to the stop "Pogerola". The bus ticket price is EUR 2.40. It is worth going to this hotel.

Bella panoramica.
