FAQs about hotels in Milan

A Capital of Design & Style

Renowned as the world’s fashion and design capital, Milan is never short on places to see and things to experience. The stunning architecture of the Duomo di Milano and the famous La Scala theatre are just a few of the city’s breath-taking attractions. For a more intimate adventure, the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie with Leonardo da Vinci's “Last Supper” lets you view a masterpiece from Italy’s past.

Visit the FieraMilano and Salone del Mobile, among the world’s largest and most prestigious furniture and design fairs or have a stroll in the Quadrilatero Della Moda district to admire unique creations from the most famous Italian fashion brands: Gucci, Versace, Armani, Prada or Dolce & Gabbana.

The Navigli and Porta Romana districts are famed for restaurants and bars serving delicious Lombard cuisine and the very popular aperitivo. Make sure you try sweet delicacies at the chic Caffé Cova, founded in 1817, or another historical café, Zucca, in the Galleria.

Arriving at Malpensa or Linate Airports, you’re only a short trip from the city centre, where you can watch a game at the San Siro or enjoy Milan Fashion Week. Whether you’re staying in a chic apartment, design hotel or budget hostel, Booking.com has a perfect place to stay for your travels in Milan.

Milan is a beautiful city. You can see every main attraction in just 4 days.We also visited Navigli and Lake Como, which a definitely recommend.Watch out for tourist trap restaurants and cafes, especially around the Duomo, and opt for something for traditional like a Bar for your coffee.Overall it’s a great beautiful city full of delicious food and fashionable people.

We spent a day and a half in Milan and hit a number of terrific sites—all by foot—including climbing the Duomo, Biblioteca Ambrosiana, The Pinacoteca di Brera, The Last Supper, and a few additional historic churches. We dined at some superb local restaurants and shopped at the Gallery near the Duomo. We could have easily spent another day in Milan, to see the Sforzesco Castle among other things, but opted to do a day trip to Como instead, which we loved.

Excellent city to visit for fashion shopping.

Excellent city to visit for fashion shopping. Staying in Navigli is a good choice because: - it’s less expensive than doing so in downtown Milan. - it’s full of places to dine or have an aperitivo. - it’s safe at nigh. As always, book your entrances way in advance. Tickets for Leonardo’s “Last Supper” are hard to get. If you arrive/depart by plane, the Malpensa Express is a convenient choice.

I was there for work so not a pleasure trip but the Cathedral and shops & restaurants were fabulous .. The location of the apartment is a 5 mins walk from the Duomo and all main shopping disrticts so perfect. A taxi rank is situated in the Piazza on the oposite side of the main road and often passing by the entrance so very convenient. The trams stop on the main road just outside of the apartment so very convenient. The reception sent us many recommendztons on whatsapp for restaurants for breakfast, lunch and evening meal and the ones we visited were excellent. We also booked evening dinner via Trip Advisor and these too were excellent. I would certainly chose to stay there again on my next trip.

    Duomo Catherdral is absolutetly amazing.

Duomo Catherdral is absolutetly amazing. Also the architecture in Vittorio Emanualle gallery is awesome. We also liked the Sforza Castle and Naviglia district. Now for the drawbacks: The city is definitely not baby friendly. Taking the subway with baby stroller is a nightmare, almost no elevators accessible, often broken. Even if they are operational, they stink like toilets. Tourist tax is a major rippoff. It's horribly big, we were charged about 40 Euro, for 3 adults/ 3 nights. Also no receipt for the tax is given. You buy a lift ticket to Duomo terraces, but the way back is with stairs. Nobody is telling you that. And there is no way to leave the baby stroller downstairs - you have to carry it all the way on the terrace and down in your hands folded. Lot of dog poo is lying on the pavements, you need to watch your step. I also got feeling Italians do not like to learn English. Will I come back? No. Would I recommend to visit- yes, of course. Be aware that sightseeing with babies will be a challenge though.

The property was very clean, the room was big and quiet and the beds were bery comfy. We had the breakfast included and it was a buffet one with both savoury and sweet options. I'm lactose intolerant and they had a soy-milk option, which is not to be taken for granted here in Italy! The hotel has a very central location, a few minutes away from the city centre. It's also just few meters away from the subway, which made it easy to get there from the central train station in no time! The staff was very friendly and polite.

Lovely hotel situated just outside Milan centre, which made it ideal to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre… Tram stop right outside and metro stop 5 min walk away which made it so easy to get to and from, wherever you are in the city once you figure out how to work them. Rooms lovely and spacious, very clean. Staff lovely and friendly, very helpful. And they have a lovely spa on the rooftop that needs booking but ideal for some downtime! All in all a lovely hotel which I’m glad I found!!!

The rooms were very nice and clean, the breakfast very good. The staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit outside of the city centre but directly in front of the hotel is the bus stop of the 57, which runs every 8-10 minutes and brings you directly to the centre of Milano without changing. So you park the car in the hotel garage and you can go without any stress into the city centre, very convenient . It was a very pleasant stay and certainly not the last one

The location is okay, it's far away from the city center but it's really close to metro line M5, station Ca' Granda. The food choices were okay although I have expected better espresso from a hotel in Italy. The room was comfortable for three nights but it definitely needs refreshing in terms of equipment. The staff was helpful to arrange the same room for two different reservations (due to changing plans) and assist when needed throughout the stay.

The hotel is lovely and the workers there are very accessible and helpful. Many of the sights are easily walkable. and are also quite popular so reservations for tours should be planned for, and I didn’t get to see THE LAST SUPPER for lack of a reservation. The breakfast spread is excellent and the free drink each night is also a nice feature. I chose the Grand Duca diYork to pamper myself during my final 3 nights in Italy and i wasn’t disappointed!

I travel extensively in Italy for work. I can honestly say the bed and pillow situation is that of a five-star fine hotel. It was great. The value of the room is good. The room was spacious, simple modern, updated design, a bright modern bathroom, and the room was very clean. The location is great if you want to be in the center. My husband and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the manager at your Milan hotel was to us. It was our first time in Italy and we had problems with our cell phones. At the end of her shift she called a cab and took us to a store. She spoke to the associate in Italian and was able to solve our problem. Corina was our angel.
