The personal was very nice, he explained us the principal attraction to be visited and how to reach it, the location of good restaurants..The hotel was very well located, nearest good restaurants and not so turistic.
me and my 8 yrs. old sister, stayed for 2 nights at hotel henry. the room was cozy, clean and silent- but a littlebit dark, because of the tanned windows. the stuff was very friendly and quick as well (check in took us 2 mins.. i am sure i wanna come again!!!
the staff are great
The hotel had a great location while being quiet and off the beaten path, and the staff was friendly and helpful!
Good location - not far from the train station. Quiet district, hidden from tourist routes.
It was very cold here in the end of October, especially at night.
Good location, just walking distance to the market and train station. The staff were very helpful. Has basic facilities - beds, toilet, shower.
We were near the reception area, so was a bit noisy at night. Small bathroom
Access to the san marcuola water bus station and quiet surroundings. Easy and straight access to train station and big supermarkets such as "Billa" & "In-coop".
Interior of the hotel. Small rooms and bathrooms. Unconcerned, not customer oriented staff except lorenzo and rolando. Bad smell inside my room due to all rooms on ground floor and probably water seepage during aqua alta. Would recommend to pay a bit more and stay at a hotel which is minimum 3 stars and has a good rating.
Convenient location within walking distance of both the Piazzale Roma and the Rialto bridge area. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite although having dragged a heavy suitcase through the streets of Venice, the offer of a helping hand to carry it to the room would have been much appreciated.
Very, very basic facilities. A tiny room (which looked nothing like the photos) for three people with a rudimentary (but clean) shower room. The walls of both are so thing we could hear every word said by the people in the next rooms and even at the reception area. The constantly screaming child in the next room didn't make sleeping very easy but that is not really the fault of the hotel. No breakfast available and the WiFi only works at the reception area.
I very much liked the location of the hotel. Close to all the sites.
I did not like that our room was right next to the reception area, which was busy with phones ringing and people having conversations.
This hotel was outside the main city centre but was only a 15 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge. Lovely location. Perfect for a weekend away.
The hotel is situated at 10 min from the train station, 6 min from M. dell'Orto vaporetto stop and 15 min from San Marco. The neighborhood is quiet, the staff friendly. No problems with the room or the cleanness. The price of the room was a little expensive but we chose to have our own bathroom and in Venice this costs.
Owner Lorenzo could not do enough, rooms were basic but all that was needed when spending little time there, cleaned every day with fresh towels, overall would recommend.
Pictures slightly misleading, looks 4 star in pics but really 2-3 star accommodation
on arrived was shown our room which was a room for students. which we were told was what we booked. why would i book students rooms for two people in their 60"s. what we got is not what i saw on your bookings.com. or our confirmation letter !! we showed our letter of confirmation to the reception which was two single beds, and it said "tv and satellite in all rooms" and picture of room looked nice and adequate, what we got was far from the picture, two tiny beds and a cupboard, could not have fitted anything else into that room. woke in the morning with a sore body because the mattress was so lumpy, the room was so small, one small window onto the street, so had to keep it closed for the noise, therefore no AIR.... so needless to say, for the money we paid, it was a disgrace to be expected to stay in that room. sharing a bathroom was never the issue!!! would i recommend this hotel. NEVER. THIS MATTER IS NOT CLOSED, I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE THAT I CAN SPEAK TO PERSONALLY, PLEASE. regards, diana davies.
Pretty much in the center
Our room was completely different from what we saw on the pictures. There were actually no picture of our small, non-comfortable room, also it was on the first floor and noises from ourside could be easily heard. Staff was not so friendly and also we were not served any breakfast
The hotel was in a great location, 10 minute walk from the rialto bridge and 15 minute walk to St Marcos square with sign posts leading you from the hotel location. We got given a map on arrival which turned out to be very handy. In a good location for reasonably priced restaurants. A good hotel for people traveling and sight seers.
The room that looked nothing like the pictures shown, the room was very small with very thin walls. The bathroom sink was in the bedroom next to the bed. The bathroom shower was not very spacious to wash yourself. The wardrobe next to the bed was to big for the designated space which fell over once putting clothes into it. There was a chair that was placed in front of the wardrobe which needed to be moved for access, once moved we found dust. There was no other space for the chair in the room.
No breakfast facility in this hotel.
good location. wifi in lobby
I have never written a bad review for a hotel, but I have been travelling for 6 years and this room for my partner and I was the most basic, smallest room we both have ever stayed in. We were on the bottom floor so we could hear everyone speak in the lobby.
The hotel is less than 15 min walk from Tronchetto. Location is really good. A lot of shops, restaurants are nearby. Owner of the hotel is friendly and gives you advices regarding places of interest during the check in. Room was very small. But there was everything we needed for oversleeping in there. Bed was confortable and ceiling fan was in the room as well.
Payment in advance.
Hotel is located not very far from the train station.
Guys keep away from this place... Worst hotel i have lived in so far. First of all photos from booking website don't correspond to the real rooms. Most likely you will not get what you see. We have booked triple room with separate beds (which was quite attractive from the photos) and got a room with two beds which was completely different room from what i saw while booking. On the question "what the ...?" We got like "we have all rooms booked where we can get third bed". What? I booked liked about two month before checkin, you didn't know it? You couldn't say booking com back that there is no possibility?... Sometimes staff while explaining us this was turning to Italian language so we couldn't understand anything.. You must pay at checkin. If we saw the room before the payment we'd run from there i guess... There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby. Room is very small and has fake thin walls, so you will hear all of your neighbors, everything is plasticky. Bathroom is very small as well. While our place was cleaned up we didn't get a shampoo... We had to ask a man in the lobby from staff to give us it. No breakfast. And all of this nightmare is for 150 euro per night. Way too much overpriced.. Highly NOT recommend.
location, no more
too expensive for a not elegant room, first floor with no view at all. i would recommend avoiding it and find another place, but take in account it is hard too find a good place in Venice that is not very expensive
Our family of 4 with teenagers ages 15 & 13 stayed one night which basically we spent 8-10 hours in the room b/c we were out exploring Venice. The staff were very nice, struck up a conversation with us, giving us a little bit of history on Venice and his hotel. He was very nice. He also held our luggage the next morning after checking out so we could roam Venice without worry about our luggage. It was also in an extremely quiet neighborhood off the loud streets. Perfect for 1 night.
The only thing I'd say was a disadvantage was the size of the quad room we had for 4 us was extremely tight to stay in with our luggage. But we managed b/c we were trying to save a little bit of money and all we did was sleep there for 8-10 hours and checked out. If you're going to spend time in a quad room, then this isn't the hotel for you... go out and enjoy Venice!
Good staff, always helped with finding the way & gave good advice
stayed for 2 nights, room was not cleaned after 1st night(recycle bin was not emptied)
all in general
We stayed in hotel Henry's apartment which is just in front of the hotel building. It was very clean, nicely decorated. Bedrooms are good size and it has a nice kitchen. The location was great very central and close to the train station.
The only thing I didn't like the wifi does not work in the apartment. We had to go downstairs to use the wifi.
