The hotel was bliss and staffs were kind and very supportive during the stay. The hotel has met all expectation and the view from the hotel room was price less. if it was in summer, it would be great place to stay as it had great hotel pool just beside the coast. strongly recommend, especially if you are travelling with car

We knew it was a little worn but it was charming. The rooms were large;the bath/shower was nice. The ceiling were high and we had a window. The gardens are fun to walk. The pool looked attractive but we didn’t have time. The location was right down the street.

The shower was wonderful and romantic. It was a double shower with two heads, one for each person and had mood lighting. Emanuele, our host was super kind.

Decent place for a short stay around the city-area. Clean rooms and a big parking area to leave your car. Excellent view from the balcony and really quiet place to enjoy your sleep. A super market and dinning selections are very close , about a 2 minutes walk.

Antonio was a wonderful host. The location is excellent with a 5 minute walk to the Herculaneum archeological site and a 10 minute walk to the bus to Vesuvius. The hotel also has a patio facing the water where we sat and relaxed with a glass of wine.

a beautiful place. only problem we had was with air conditioning and the owner didn't get back to us to fix it.
they said it was working before we came but the remotes didn't work and we couldn't get them on. it was warm so hard to sleep well. but the place and people were very nice and lovely.
The ruins were fantastic. There is also the Teatro Antico, which is still underground. We missed out on this as we didn't find out about it until we got there. They only admit small groups at a time and it was fully booked. Tickets are available from the Herculaneum entrance or on the Ticket One website, so you really need to book on advance. There is a virtual Archaeological museum in the town. This includes a short 3D film about Vesuvius, the opportunity to fly a virtual drone and a VR experience of walking round one of the palace gardens. Ideal for kids and teens! The museum is screen based about Herculaneum ruins and does not include actual discoveries from the site.
For visiting the surrounding areas, trains into Naples are regular, as are trains to Pompeii (but you have to change - the ticket man didn't tell us this!). Don't miss the chance to wander round the actual town of Pompei. It was beautiful! In fact, next time I would choose to stay there over Ercolano or Naples!

My grandchild suggests we would have been better staying in Pompeii and travelling to Ercolano one day. I had decided to follow what my neighbour suggested, based on taking a younger child to southern Italy.

We spent one night in Ercolano to visit the ruins of Herculaneum and break up our trip to the Amalfi Coast. The ruins are a must-see and you can experience authentic Naples pizza at RO.VI. We also enjoyed espresso and drinks at the Herculaneum Cafe. I'm not sure what you'd do here for more than a day or two, but the ruins and authentic cuisine were definitely worth our time!

The apartment was very nice and people of Ercolano very friendly. They really drive like crazy, but that is their way of life. Train station is really near the apartment and best option to reach Napoli, Pompei, Sorrento...

Ercolano is a small town nearby Vesuvio, which can be seen...
Ercolano is a small town nearby Vesuvio, which can be seen from most everywhere, Naples bay also is lovely and is seen from most of the places in the town. You can easily find nice fish, pizza, fast food and traditional local restaurants in 10-15 min walk. There is a nice but small botanical garden in the territory of the local university. They also have a park of mandarins/tangerines which you can pick up for free.
The ruins of Ercolano/Herculaneum exceeded our expectations! It is not overcrowded as Pompei, the territory you can walk through in 1-1.5 hours, moreover, some buildings are in better condition ... we liked it.
Good Self catering facilities. Within easy walking distance to the railway station and further exploration of the Bay of Naples and beyond. Herculaneum museum is virtually less than 10 minutes away at the bottom of the main road in Ercolano.Hosts were were very helpful with information, and available for easy contact during our 2 week stay . Besides providing a change of fresh linen they arranged an early morning Taxi to the Airport. Couldn't fault their support , if required, during our stay.
A fantastic apartment; newly refurbished, fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Emanuele was a brilliant host; really helpful and friendly. The location is great - tucked away in the heart of Ercolano, but close to the ruins of Herculaneum, and a short walk to either the small beach or the station for trains to Pompeii or Naples. We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend. Just be aware that parking would be difficult if you were to drive and there are steps up to the apartment.
The View from the balcony is absolutely stunning, not to be missed at any cost. Some of the best views we witnessed during our trip in Italy.
The property itself was very neat and well done. It had all the facilities one requires. Moreover, Alberta was super nice and helped us in each and every way possible. She even got us print out for our tickets late at night, which was truly lifesaving. With such warm hospitality and views this place is a must if you are in Naples or nearby.
Great location, 5mins from the station and 30s from Herculaneum archeological site. great communication with Lucia who gave us restaurants recommendations and even let me know each day whether Vesuvius national park was open or not (sadly not as we had snow and heavy rain during our visit).
I was visiting with my 22yo son, and the twin room was perfect for our needs. Simple breakfast was included in the very reasonable price which we ate in the linked Hotel. Thanks Lucia :)
This was our first stay while in Italy. We were there for two nights and had a very nice time while there. The room and other areas were gorgeous and the grounds well kept and very pleasant. They have a very nice restaurant with an outdoor patio, which was wonderful. The surrounding town of Ercolano is not that pretty, so this was a welcome oasis.
It is very close to the ruins of Herculaneum, which we visited on our first day. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The host Alessandro met us on site to show us all the facilities and to make sure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. Everything about the place has been well thought of and is top class. Alessandro and Beppe at the bar were great hosts.
Everything was nearby, the railway station, Herculaneum ruins and restaurants and shops.
Easy to get around to Pompeii, Sorento and Naples for day trips.
Fantastic B&B in Ercolano to explore Mount Vesuvio, Ercolano Scavi, Naples or Capri. Jacopo and Niccolo do everything to feel welcome and comfortable, they share their suggestions and organize day trips in and around Ercolano. Also their rooms are clean, the garden is beautiful and the breakfast tasty. Overall highly recommended!
The apartment is very clean and has all facilities. The kitchen is very well equipped but a cutting board is missing. Beds are comfortable. it is quite and closed to the train station. But if you want to take trains to Pompeii you might have to change the train at Ercolano Scavi which is about 15 min walk from the apartment.
Great Staff, so responsive and helpful!
The room was great, quite smartly arranged setup.
Also, if you want to see more than just Naples, Ercolano is a great idea - close to the city and close to Pompei, Sorrento, etc.
The hotel was 9 minutes from the station and with a view of the sea. Vesuvius was right there!
Well air conditioned rooms! Pool and private beach - amazing for sunbathing. Beach is covered in stones and for entry into water is best to use slippers. Amazing views on islands and mountains. Great location for sightseeing and nearby attractions.
The B and B was in a perfect location for access to the ruins, the train and the Vesuvius Express bus. The rooms were very clean and we loved the shower with hot water. It was quiet. Alex was great. All was perfect. Our highest recommendation.
Spacious room (suite). Good to escape the heat with the family without being stuck in a usual small hotel room. Special environment with the wall paintings etc. Walking distance to train stations & Herculaneum ruins.
Good location to visit Ercolano and Napoly (only 10km from downtown). Large room for 4 people with Air Conditioning. Very good breakfast. Free Parking in front of the property. Fully recommended.
Very handy location near Herculaneum ruins and local train line to Pompeii and Naples. Big rooms with aircon. Friendly and helpful host. Quiet area at night but close for shops and cafes.
Clean, safe, quiet, comfortable beds, very caring host that showed us around in Ercolano, working wifi. Very close to the beach and a nice place to stay if you visit Herculaneum.
