Da simpatia dos responsáveis pelo hotel e da proximidade ao centro da cidade.

As duas estrelas atribuidas ao hotel são exclusivamente da proprietária, que é super simpática, comunicativa, educada e prestativa. De resto o hotel é horrível.

Para chegar à portaria do hotel, tem-se que subir 4 lances de escada, com malas e bagagens. O quarto é super simples, com sol, porém sem conforto algum. Não vale o preço nem as estrelas que tem.

Very friendly helpful staff , superb central location , close to everything , supermarket and post office and train station a few steps away . Building has character , not a typical modern glass and steel monstrosity and of modest size .

Probably the new tram station being right outside the window , but the noise didn't even bother me , and it is the middle of Florence so you have to expect noise.

Its central location, just next to the railway station is a big plus.

The very small bathroom-the shower was literally on top of the toilet, very little room & the whole bathroom got wet after a shower. The furniture was rather shabby and old. Also linen/towels given were of a "hospital" quality- rather threadbare. Could do with newer towels.

1) Location unsafe: Especially for a single female traveller, just beside main railway station, too quiet at night and no major shops on that road that stays open. 2) Very noisy on first night. Many guys talking loudly close to the balcony until 2am; 3) No Air-con 4) Cleanliness of shared bathroom poor.

It is very conviently located. About 3 mins walk from the main train station and 15 mins walk to Duomo (about 400m). There are two supermarkets and a laundry shop very nearby. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, especially the owner Patricia. Feel free to ask them any questions regarding your sightseeing. The towels provided are incredible. Though it looked thin, it's super absorbent and big, very comfortable to use! This venue has a warm, family feel, you feel just like home with your doting mother!

The name 'Hotel' in Hotel Hermes is misleading. This is a Bed and Breakfast establishment. There is no fridge in the room. Air-conditioning has to be specified when you book. We met a couple who were surprised not to get a room with air-conditioning, because they did not specify in their booking. The air-conditioning we got was a portable air-con, however it was sufficient in it cooling. The bathroom is not very clean - We could see yellowish scum on the shower head, which was quite toe-curling. The reception is two flights of stairs above the street level. You have to lug your suitcases up. Our room was on the reception level, so we did not have to climb up further, though it didn't seem as if the building had any elevator. The reception, breakfast area and corridors are all not air-conditioned. As mentioned, this is not your usual idea of a hotel. Think of it as a family-run bed and breakfast. If you're on a budget it is a great place to stay.

Good location near to the main station.

I never met Patricia so i can´t give a feedback on her. The room was creepy with a high ceiling and was like in a hospital. The bathroom was small and the shower was next to the toilet and there was an old unused bidet, so you have really not much place to take a shower. Although they cleaned the bathroom every day it was smelly. The last night there was no water and the lady on the reception told us only that the city has some problems with the water. They have prepared jars with water at the reception but we have find it out only at the morning because nobody told us! I really have expected a better service and room because of the lots of positive feedbacks. I had 4 other hotels in Milan and Bologna in the same category and price but they were way better.

Friendliness, hospitality and great tips on the city from Patricia and her staff (especially on restaurants and places preferred by the locals). The location is another advantage for this place (right next to the train and bus stations), equally important to the low rates it offers.

The facilities are rather old, but personally I fould rather charming the high ceilings and the extra space in the old-fashioned rooms.

Host is a brilliant women!!! She is very positive and friendly, extremely polite!!!

the location is really convenient for a walking visit of the city
