The Hermitage is like visiting a home of your grand aunt, its a cozy and charming hotel and the staff is very helpful and accommodating. I have found my home in Florence! Will definitely be back and recommend highly!
Friendly, very helpful staff. Great location. Loved the quirky arrangement.
Bed was a bit too soft
1. staff is super friendly and helpful 2. it is not close to train station but close to other places of interst 3. breakfast is good but of course breakfast in italy and europe really does not have much variation and variety. 4. room is clean.
1. there are mosquitoes in the room (around October), which is a bit annoying especially for people who have bad reactions to mosquito bites, like me. However, staff is super helpful and they gave us somethng to dispell the mosquitoes. i didn't get any bites. 2. room is clean, but the bathroom in my room is too small and i don't have place to put my cosmetic bags. but this is not a big deal to me. 3. it might get noisy at night as it is close to the old bridge and street...something that is hard to avoid in Italy i would say
Lovely lounge and roof garden
Breakfast is a little limited
We loved the simplicity of getting to our most desired sites, the sunny and beautiful breakfast room, Monica's helpfulness, Gemma's sweetness, even when we asked for yet another cappuccino, and the roof top garden, view of the Arno River, the elevator, .... Must I go on?
had to walk a flight of stairs to reach the first floor elevator
Friendly, helpful staff, terrific breakfast buffet, breakfast room views, rooftop patio, lounge area, location, proximity to places of interest.
Proximity of The Hermitage to the main landmarks of the city was a great plus. Thanks to hotel staff - welcoming and helpful. I'll certainly visit again and recommend The Hermitage to fellow travellers without hesitation.
Amazing location! Rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom is huge with a great Jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was the best of the 3 hotels we staid in in Italy. Staff was extremely helpful and informative. Recommended an excellent wine tour and made our reservations before we got there.Gave us a bottle of wine with a Happy Anniversary card. Rooftop has great views.
Location,staff,rooftop, great value
Like a private residence around the corner from all the action. Wonderful rooftop garden to relax and intermingle with other guests
Elevator is cozy
The charming appeal and authenic touches. The views from the sitting room and the terrace. It was clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful.
The sticky sugary surface of the croissants....would prefer the croissants without the coating.
The views from the terrace were lovely as was the view from the breakfast area. The location couldn't have been better. Very friendly, helpful staff. The room
We liked everything.
Views from terrace
Bathtub and staff
Uncomfortable bed, small dark room, noise from the bridge, breakfast
Location, reception staff
breakfast very average
Hotel location is perfect for city trip. It is very convenience to acces to the train station, air port and city strolling. The roof garden is quite charming. All staffs express their service mind and very helpful.
Charming hotel. Perfect location. Beautiful terrasse.
Hotel Hermitage is a lovely little hotel right off, I mean steps away, from Ponte Vecchio. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We had a very early morning checkout, so they brought us a generous tray of fruit, juices, water, and biscuits and jam the night before! Totally unexpected, but that's the kind of place this is! I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Everything was fantastic!
Brilliant location, comfortable room, helpful staff
The position was tremendous, the staff friendly , helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was very good standard. The roof top terrace was beautiful. Would be happy to recommend this hotel and we will go back there.
I have stayed several times at this hotel and it has always worked well for my purposes. It is very well located (views from the bed of the Ponte Vecchio!), nicely appointed, decently priced for Florence with a good breakfast and friendly staff. The best part is the breakfast room and sitting room views. I also love the roof terrace but alas this has been neglected and has a terrible bird problem. Note: the Hermitage is more of a traditional albergo than a chain hotel. Very few
I was disappointed with the roof terrace. It has incredible views and could be the perfect place for breakfast service or sunset drinks, but it is not well kept and is infested with pigeons.
Breakfast selection was limited and service was slow on some days during my 5 day stay
Location was perfect Staff were so helpful and friendly Great bathroom with Jacuzzi Rooftop terrace
No kettle in the room
Excellent location just 50m from Ponte Vecchio.
Price is too high compared to room size and quality. Electric plug of the wall lighting unit was very weak and bad quality. Risk for electric shock.
