If you have a little child like us and you want to go to the Swimming Pool, simply change hotel. A few things we discovered AFTER we arrived: - only 4 hours a day for children (10->12 and 15->17). If your child takes a nap (like all children) after lunch it means only in the morning - you need hydroresistant diapers. Not written on booking. Not written on website. Could you buy it at the hotel ? Absolutely not. Only option is going to the close mall, enter in the mall, do the queue at cashier, etc. etc., 1 h lost. - aaaand our last surprise: on monday morning, swimming pool is closed. How could you not know that ? It is written... nowhere! So poor service, poor information, we chose this hotel mainly for the swimming pool and in two days we were NOT able to use it due to the above, crystal clear, rules. Ah, the day we arrived the restaurant was closed due to a private event. Guess it? No one told us... POOR POOR information and service.
Restaurant was below par for a prestigious franchise like Hilton.
Comfortabl and pleasant. Good value for money.
funny smell of the rooms, trash by the outside to include the parking lot, bird droppings in the balcony and in common areas outside, wall in our room was peeling off, extra charge for the towels at the pool/spa.
Breakfast buffet, spacious room, modern bathroom, view towards the back, pool/spa, enough parking spaces, access to the highway
Far from city center and nothing around. Must pay extra to use outdoor pool area. This is the first time I have ever heard of such an odd thing to have to pay to use a pool. They have an indoor pool that was free.
Nice room, comfortable and clean, nice bathroom.
Tv did not work. A/C poor output.had to change rooms after we discovered shower did not work. Balcony had a LOT of pigeon droppings on it. Had two steak dinners..way overcooked(order med. got well done. Not enought staff in restaurant. Got to breakfast( 12 euros pp) one minute b4. 10am and was told its over. I am a Hilton honors member and got NO consideration at all. Ps. Both of our rooms had a funny musty smell. Never stay here
Access to outsider swimming pool is charged 10€ on top of the room price.
Easy to find. Very nice breakfast.
At our second night there was a pool party with so loud music until 4 in the morning! It was unpossible to sleep. The staff was uncomprehending and rude!!! On the first day our room had not been cleaned when we returned at 5. In the restaurant it took almost an hour to get the food and it took more than half and hour after the first person had got his meal until the rest got there meals.
We liked the pool area and the fitness facilities.
Hardly they can serve in the restaurant, the waiter was unpolite. When we arrived, the temperature in the room was about 20 degrees,it was so cold.
Wifi does not work well and hotel makes you change user name and password with obsessive frequency. Can't figure out why.
Predictible, clean, eficient and very comfortable.
We did ask for a few more coffee sachets for our room but these did not materialise.
The room was lovely, modern with a lovely view of the hills. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and everything is very new and fresh.
I'm a Hilton Honors member and I stay in many of their properties domestically and internationally. This was the least "Hilton" experience I've ever had. For a place that is not very old, our room felt worn out. It smelled like sweat, and was an odd configuration that gave us a huge walk-in closet and much less room space. The bathroom handheld showerhead leaked, the tolietries were in little tiny squeeze packets like you would get in a two star hotel, and it just didn't feel "Hilton" at all. The towels were small and scratchy, the walls in the room were dinged up and it just generally felt tattered. I could go on and on about all the little cosmetic things, but we also had a great deal of trouble getting kicked off the Internet which added to the dissatisfaction. When I went to check out, the front desk insisted I had reserved two nights, which I had not, and had to log on to my confirmation on Booking.com to prove.
This property has some pluses - the staff both front desk and wait staff are efficient and nice - but it has some real minuses too.The lobby area is attractive and the restaurant is nice. We enjoyed the breakfast which came with more variety than some European breakfasts that are included in the price of the room. But really, that was the highlight. The price was right - very cheap - and it gave us time to visit Matera and choose a really wonderful hotel for our second night.
