Location is perfect . Breakfast amazing
Some rooms view is not that good
There is no free wifi in the hotel....and the fee for it is highly unreasonable.
The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and varied.
The list of problems is long: I asked for a quiet room - there was the air conditioning directly outside our window which caused constant noise. On Sunday morning I was awoken at 9 am by loud banging and scraping. Two phone calls to reception brought no improvement - the noise only ended after I banged on the wall with a glass. Reception said there was no work going on but after breakfast I saw two workmen cleaning the windows and renovating the window fittings in an adjacent room. The Hilton gave us the drinks from the minibar free in compensation - a cola, a cognac and a beer. I'd have maybe drunk more during my stay but most of the listed items weren't actually stocked. Even the cognac I drank on the first evening wasn't replenished. The tv's in the room and executive lounge have analog signals - so watching them is like being in the 1980's - that suits perfectly the decor of the hotel. The picture was fuzzy like a snowstorm although the tv was hd. The air conditioning squeaked loudly in our room. The room was very cold and only warmed up after a complaint. I had the feeling no-one knew we were staying there. Worst of all, when collecting our luggage, I had cause to use the gentlemens lavatory. Four cabins, three empty but locked, presumably to avoid cleaning. The one I used had no toilet paper. A unpleasant surprise - and my last memory of the Hilton Milan. This was my second stay at a Hilton - after a weekend in Warsaw. It was great - but the two establishments are worlds apart.
Very good off-peak price Location close to Milan Main train station
space of the room bed size and comfy had English channels easy to get in and out of lifts gym
internet could have been free
Great location in Milan. Close to central metro/ buses and trains. Easy to park below the Hilton. Wonderful accommodations!
comfy big bed, and clean room
no wifi. location was close to the train station, but that was pretty much it. overpriced for what it was. seemed to cater to tourists. you would be better off going for a less name brand hotel.
We had a tour guide in Milan called Alice and she made our stay in Milan to be truly memorable. It made up for only 2 tea bags in the room, so average !
The front desk staff was great, helpful, happy, and on the top of their jobs. Location great for train travelers, just a block and a half away from the Central Station, five min easy walk.
Lobby restaurant service atrocious, slow, snobbish and unfriendly. A Ceasar salad and a soup took 45min to arrive (in a virtually empty restaurant), no apologies. Not one smile during the whole visit, it really felt that we were intruding on the staff's 'cruisy' evening by coming there. Pretty much managed to destroy the stay and the feel of the brand. Hotel also in need of an update, corridors and rooms are quite tired looking!
The hotel was amazing. The staff brilliant, I definitely recommend this hotel I would definitely go back
Close to the central station Option to have more pillows and 24 hr reception
Cover charge to eat in the restaurant Having to pay to have Internet in the room Staff not very pleasant
There was black mold in the shower and my bathroom smelled like cigaret smoke.
Close to train station, jump on express to airport.
The room is of reasonable size, the bed is very comfortable, not too hard. Overall a pleasant stay for 2 nights.
No free wifi in room
The restaurant was fine for a quick snack. The room cleaner, who alone amongst all the staff, acknowledged our existence
This is the most unfriendly hotel we have stayed in for years. The concept of a 'guest' rather than a 'punter' or a 'client' has escaped them. It seemed that the hotel is run for the benefit of the staff and the guests are treated as an unfortunate necessity. Check-in was a nightmare which generated queues because of the inter-staff chats. Misinformation was the order of the day with the concierge. The whole atmosphere was mean-spirited and money-grubbing. If this is the new Hilton standard they have just lost loyal guests.
Close proximity to central station, yet quiet and cosy; short walk to shopping (thanks to tip from concierge); good breakfast spread
No free wifi in room, so many guests had to hang around the lobby to check emails etc
Comfortable bed
Everything else Bathroom full of mould, horrible bath and shower with curtain No wifi in the room No breakfast included Restaurant staff rude and impatient
Hilton's standard amenities. Comfortable bed, big and soft towel.
Arrogant staff. Hardly see s smiling face from them, throw back the credit card to you. I can't imagine a Hilton hotel in Italy serving instant coffee in the executive lounge...unless it's hilton's executive preference. I asked the front desk lady help me to book a restaurant for dinner. After giving her the details, she asked me to go to concierge. Then I have to repeat everything again.
Front desk very courteous.
First and second night was fine. Came in late on third night and had no wash cloths and only one bath towel.
Extremely helpful staffs, which made checking-in and out effortless. One of them helped to make reservation for dinner at a busy restaurant nearby.
Expensive wifi in the room. The bed was horrible, the springs were broken on one side, and the bedsheet was torn. Small bathroom. Definitely need a facelift. If you are arriving in Milan Central by airport bus, you will need to walk about 800m to get to the hotel
Close to Milan Central station and europ car rentals (although we wouldn't recommend this rental company either). We hired aMercedes which hadn't been cleaned inside or out and only half tank petrol
Over priced cafe style dining in reception area. No restaurant!! Milan is full of scammers and beggars. Did not feel safe. Won't be returning to Milan.
