Conveniently located. Private atmosphere.
We were not advised of the Rome Marathon that took place on the day of our departure, leaving us no access to taxis. We had to walk the 2 miles with all our luggage in the pouring rain up to the train station. Had we been dutifully informed by the owner or Booking.com, we would have made alternate arrangements. Also, we were not aware that there were two flights of stairs to our room with no elevators nor bell captains.
The hospitality lady who served breakfast was very friendly and sweet. The driver who picked us up from the airport was also friendly and helpful. We appreciated having unlimited access to drinking water, snacks, and the kitchen.
This place is really nice! And it's close to literary everything! (Walk distance) and to top it off free breakfast!!!! Staff very nice and generous! No regrets if I was to go back I will def book this place again
The accommodation was brilliant in a perfect location. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
accommodation in the city center friendly service
We can't thank the owner's father (and young Manolo) enough for their help and concern in dealing with a medical problem during our recent three day trip to Rome. The History Suite is a 'home from home'. We were especially grateful and made good use of the kitchen amenities to hand. Thank you so much. We hope to return one day.
This is an awesome Location, just steps away from major sites. The B&B is very nice and the breakfast was great.
Bedroom window looked out directly onto ruins of temple where Caesar was assassinated.
The spacious rooms were maintained to the highest level with an handy location and excellent view
Poorly functioning lock for security grilles at the entrance to the house, the key is stuck.
Excellent location, quiet environment, freely available throughout the day, bottled water and fruit in the fridge in the kitchen, quality beds in the room. We had a room in the courtyard, so quiet at night. Continental breakfast with hot drinks.
Location is absolutely so central to all the sights, place was amazing and comfy, staff were great although not a word of English but hey we were in their country! Such modern comfy rooms I would seriously recommend to any couples, not sure it would be the best location for kids though due to steps and you could hear everything and everyone coming in and out but didn't disturb us at all really
accommodation-wise, no negative comments.
staff: polite and helpful location: in the very center facilities: clean and new the hotel offers pick-up service from the airport, at a pre-arranged price.
A bit noisy
Made us feel like home in Rome, staff was super friendly and helpful. Very central, we walked everywhere!
That we had to go back home!
A small, quiet hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The location is perfect for sightseeing and eating out, whether you're looking for a slice of pizza or nice restaurant. The ample rooms are clean and modern with everything in working order even the wifi was great! There is a kitchen area with FREE tea and coffee making facilities and the fridge is stocked with water, juice, milk, joghurts and fruit. Cake and croissants are also available if you get back tired and hungry after a foot march around Rome! What more can one ask for?
Poor atmosphere at breakfast as the staff do not speak English even though it is advertised. It is nice to be able to make a tea/coffee whenever I want but there was no washing-up liquid or sponge so essentially using other peoples dirty cups. Not much choice at breakfast so bored by day 3.
A perfect location, we walked everywhere and did not use public transport at all.
Breakfast could have been better...
Great location. 24hr self serve kitchen. Free bottled water (great when going for day walks)
The lack of instructions on how to check out.
The room was very big and cosy and the lady who serves breakfast is very nice and friendly and motherly.
Lovely rooms, welcoming staff & access to kitchen facilities. Walking distance to everything & easy to get to from Termini. Loved our stay at the History Suite!
Wi-Fi connection in the room is not great, but you don't need Wi-Fi when you're in such a beautiful city!
- Very (very) large room, with a beautiful bathroom. - The ability to use the fridge whenever you want (even at 2 am) to get some water, a biscuit, a yogurt, or a fruit for FREE. - Very Central Location, near the Pantheon, the Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona and the Jewish Ghetto. You can walk to the Vatican, Colosseo, Trevi Fountain, no need for public transport. - A lot of restaurants nearby. - You feel at home. Thanks to Andrea, we could use our room until 7 pm the day we left instead of 11 am because it was raining!
The location was excellent. It was quite clean and the staff was nice. Very good place also couples with little children
The rooms could be decorated a little more. Noise at night easily hear able in the room.
History Suite is a very familiar B&B in the very center of Rome. The personnel is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and warm (essential if you travel in December). The fridge was always filled with drinks and snacks were in the kitchen to be taken at any time. Breakfast was good. Next time we come to Rome we will book at History Suite again!
History Suite is in an ideal location in Rome. We stayed for 4 nights. Walk a few blocks north and you reach the Pantheon, a few blocks from there to the west Piazza Navona, walk back to the east of the Pantheon to visit the Trevi Fountain, and on just a bit farther to the Spanish Steps. Municipal buses stop nearby so that you can reach the Vatican City or the Colosseum & Forum. One afternoon we took a tour with Walks of Italy (another recommendation for small English-speaking tourist groups!) for the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill & decided to walk back to the B&B after 4 hours of walking for the tour... which took only 15 minutes or so--a pleasant walk, believe it or not, after a long day. Andrea, the owner, was very helpful in pointing out restaurants, bus numbers, etc., and also booked a car for us to leave in early morning for the airport, a 50 Euro charge and well worth it! We cannot give enough positive comments about our stay at History Suite!
A little uncomfortable. Did not have any comfortable sitting areas. Bed was a bit uncomfortable for our taste. Very noisy due to location of room to street.
I liked the location with respect to everything one wants to visit while in Rome on vacation. Also provided fruit and snacks while there. Clean.
