A mall town, located on a small mountain. People are cool and nice. An excellent place for two days, no more. Or, you do need to relax a lot and stay longer? A small but very nice museum. If you like local products, this is the place.

Lovely little town in Tuscany countryside.
Lovely little town in Tuscany countryside. Within an hour or hour-and-a-half drive to anything in Tuscany except Pisa and Lucca. Excellent base for day trips (provided that you have a car, of course), but also excellent place to stay and enjoy the rural charm of Tuscany (eather on a bicycle, or on foot). Excellent food, fabulous views, great people. There's not much point to recommend any place to eat in particular, because there are no bad places to eat in Tuscany. :-) If you haven't been in Tuscany before, this is a great place to discover it. If you have been here before, than you know what I'm talking about. ;-)

Castiglion Fiorentino is such a picturesque location, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay in town. Analia was incredibly accommodating. She picked us up at the train station when we arrived, she even took us to a wine tasting during a really intense rainstorm, and she drove us to the station on our last morning. She was also very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. We highly recommend!

They are so friendly and love their town and enjoy sharing that love with their guests. We are so glad we chose Castiglion Fiorentino as our long stay in Tuscany. Clean pool, lots of space. The staff at the reception and at the restaurant are exceptional. We have been on a road trip, and stayed at various hotels, the kindness of the staff was incomparable to others. We only had one night, and we all wished we had more time. It's comfortable and easy to feel at home here. There's a nice selection of comfy chairs, equally comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and pleasant bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Marinella is also a perfect host, genuinely friendly and helpful.

We had a problem with our bikes and they solved it with us. They drove us to a shop where we could buy a necessary cable. Don‘t miss the pizzeria of them (Gallo Nero)! Very delicious.
