Score from 403 reviews Very good
Lovely view from balcony. Good breakfast.
Lots of ants on the balcony. Staff polite but not very welcoming.
Lovely hosts, yummy breakfast with beautiful views, close to everything, bus to Positano stops right outside hotel
Everything! Praiano was the pick of villages for us on the Amalfi Coast; quieter and less touristy than others. The hotel was fantastic - great staff who attended to our every need beautiful room and furnishings, generous breakfast and the view was spectacular!
Location above all and the family atmosphere
Amazing location, amazing views, very nice lady at the reception
Poor quality of room furniture, bathroom, no soundproofing what so ever, very poor breakfast, the same thing every single morning.
Friendly Staff always willing to help.Beautiful Views and Great Breakfast
Pleasant and helpful staff, clean facilities, public bus stops right there, car parking on premices
The staff were very friendly and helpful, they offered information on buses and general local information. Nothing was too much trouble. Room had great view along the coast towards Salerno and out to sea. The local buses stop right outside the hotel. Nice walks down to the beach or into the hills surrounding the village. Walking back up hill to the hotel is possible but suggest you get the bus. Sheets and towels seemed to be changed daily. They have a car park and will ensure your car is accessible when you need it.
The bathroom fittings are looking a little tired but all were very clean The school in front could wake you just before 8 o'clock in the morning but it was no problem. A general comment on the area and not the hotel is that parking is difficult in the resorts along the coast and can be expensive. Very busy in mid September.
We stayed two weeks in Hotel Holiday and we are very happy with the accomodational choice we made. The hotel is small and quiet, located a bit higher in Praiano. The staff is amazing, they really care about your well-being. We were already positively surprised that they could pick us up from the center of Praiano, just after our arrival with luggage by public bus. Next to that, they brought us everyday to the beach and picked us up and they make good recommendations about restaurants and (the planning of) our trips. More importantly they were there to help us when I was ill and lost my iPhone in a bus after visiting Pompeii. I assure you that you will not be seen as mere a passport and creditcard but as a person! The breakfast was good, everday fresh fruits and scrambled eggs on request. The rooms are all unique, we had a room with a balcony, two lay-down(?) chairs and seaview. Cleaning of the room is done properly. When we visit the amalfi coast again, we will come back here again.
Staff was great. They were very helpful with dinner recommendations as well as tours. The staff is definitely the best part of the stay. The hotel is a little hard to find as the town is hard to catch your bearings when you first arrive, but after the staff mentioned they would have picked us up - good to know for next time. Switched rooms part way through our stay and the second room's view was amazing! very relaxing on the patio
Transportation was a little tough in peak season when we were there - but this has more to do with staying in Praiano, not the hotel itself. Local city bus stop right beside the hotel. Sita bus is at times full by the time it gets to Praiano, it passes right by you. Suggest using city bus , not Sita bus
We were warmly welcomed on our arrival to the hotel! All of the staff remained professional during our entire week stay and made you feel like family. We also loved that this establishment is a family employed hotel with a beautiful history - you will get to see 3 generations working side by side!
Perfect for exploring the coast. Helpful and friendly staff, great local restaurant and wine shop nearby. Yummy breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea. Parking at the hotel.
- Free shuttle to the beach. - Good breakfast. - Helpful staff. - Clean room.
- Small balcony.
Views quietness and the delicious sweets prepared by Concetta. Especially the sfogliatelli.
Bathroom was a little narrow
Located in an excellent area allowing easy accessibility to all towns along the coast. Staff are wonderful in providing advice and directions and breakfast was more than expected !
My parents and I stayed at this hotel for one night and were very disappointed. The location was horrible- up the hill with no shops or attractions within walking distance. The view from the balcony was nice but the rooms were small and the service was poor. Breakfast was very basic. As this was the most expensive room we booked in our whole Italian holiday, we expected more. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Staff - very friendly and helpful. Also excellent value for a good quality hotel in such a nice location.
Wifi speed was variable.
Good location, there is a lively restaurant just up the road. Great fish! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Free parking which is a great bonus for Amalfi coast! The room was expensive compared to the rest of italy but cheap compared to other hotels on the amalfi coast.
the room smelt and felt abit damp.
View, breakfast, cleanliness, nice staff
This is a fantastic hotel with absolutely stunning ocean views from the room balcony, as well as from the breakfast area. The staff were extremely warm and friendly and made our 7 nights here the most memorable of our 5 week European holiday. We arrived by the sita bus from Sorrento. A quick call to the hotel, and Angelo arrived at the bus stop in less than 5 minutes to take us to the hotel. The room was very comfortable, with a small fridge and excellent bed. The breakfast was superb (especially Concetta's delicious cakes!). There is an excellent food store 5 minutes away by foot which sells fresh local produce at cheap prices, and lovely restaurants nearby. Many of these restaurants will even pick you up and drop you back at the hotel free of charge if you don't feel like walking. Praiano itself is quiet and friendly, and fascinating just to walk around. There are some beautiful nature walks nearby as well. But really, it was the warmth and affection shown to us by the staff at Hotel Holiday that will linger most in our memory. We can't wait to return one day.
angelo and his family were super friendly privacy was great, we could stay on our balcony sunbaking all morning, go to beach in the afternoon and come back to a spotless made up room. it was very peaceful overlooking the sea, no traffic noise at all. beautiful view back along to amalfi from our balcony amazing choice at breakfast buffet angelo drove us to the beach one afternoon so we could find the best one with the most sun until 8pm! we went to Lukas beach bar called one fire and had the best time free parking was a sinch. we could walk to any restaurant, all amazing we could walk to the bar del sole for drinks at sunset.. was perfect
there is nothing i didnt like about this hotel!
Helpful, friendly staff
No pool (but admittedly I did know that before I booked!) and very small balcony
Room: spacious with a big bed and tv with sky channels and terrace with sea view. Wifi connection was good. Food: we only had breakfast here because we were going around the whole day, but breakfast was very good: home made pastries and cakes that were delicious, there was also bread, ham and cheese, boiled eggs, cereals, yoghourts, etc, for us more than enough to choose from and high quality. Service: very friendly and helpful. Location: its on a quiet town Praiano, but this town has a bit of everything: restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy... It has a small beach with a restaurant that plays chill out music the whole day (its called One fire), we stayed there once and we liked it a lot, only negative point is that the water is very dirty, there's plastic and stuff floating all around you so its not very appealing to take a swim and the staff didnt really make the effort to clean that out with a net, apart from this wonderful place to lay on te sun while listening to nice music and having a drink. From Praiano we did small day trips to different places, its actually perfect because is in between Positano and Amalfi. We rented a scooter to move around because of the freedom it gives you and it also added to the experience, but its also possible to use the buses. In general very good experience.
Nothing negative to mention.
Accommodation is fairly basic but good value for money in an expensive area. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the water., The staff were helpful in taking us to the beach and showing us bus stops etc. Breakfast was not extensive but quite adequate. Away from the main area of Praiano but within walking distance and close to local transport.
At breakfast time the staff patrol the dining area although it is all self service making you feel a bit uncomfortable.
