My parents and I stayed at this hotel for one night and were very disappointed. The location was horrible- up the hill with no shops or attractions within walking distance. The view from the balcony was nice but the rooms were small and the service was poor. Breakfast was very basic. As this was the most expensive room we booked in our whole Italian holiday, we expected more. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good location, there is a lively restaurant just up the road. Great fish! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Free parking which is a great bonus for Amalfi coast! The room was expensive compared to the rest of italy but cheap compared to other hotels on the amalfi coast.

the room smelt and felt abit damp.

This is a fantastic hotel with absolutely stunning ocean views from the room balcony, as well as from the breakfast area. The staff were extremely warm and friendly and made our 7 nights here the most memorable of our 5 week European holiday. We arrived by the sita bus from Sorrento. A quick call to the hotel, and Angelo arrived at the bus stop in less than 5 minutes to take us to the hotel. The room was very comfortable, with a small fridge and excellent bed. The breakfast was superb (especially Concetta's delicious cakes!). There is an excellent food store 5 minutes away by foot which sells fresh local produce at cheap prices, and lovely restaurants nearby. Many of these restaurants will even pick you up and drop you back at the hotel free of charge if you don't feel like walking. Praiano itself is quiet and friendly, and fascinating just to walk around. There are some beautiful nature walks nearby as well. But really, it was the warmth and affection shown to us by the staff at Hotel Holiday that will linger most in our memory. We can't wait to return one day.

angelo and his family were super friendly privacy was great, we could stay on our balcony sunbaking all morning, go to beach in the afternoon and come back to a spotless made up room. it was very peaceful overlooking the sea, no traffic noise at all. beautiful view back along to amalfi from our balcony amazing choice at breakfast buffet angelo drove us to the beach one afternoon so we could find the best one with the most sun until 8pm! we went to Lukas beach bar called one fire and had the best time free parking was a sinch. we could walk to any restaurant, all amazing we could walk to the bar del sole for drinks at sunset.. was perfect

there is nothing i didnt like about this hotel!

Room: spacious with a big bed and tv with sky channels and terrace with sea view. Wifi connection was good. Food: we only had breakfast here because we were going around the whole day, but breakfast was very good: home made pastries and cakes that were delicious, there was also bread, ham and cheese, boiled eggs, cereals, yoghourts, etc, for us more than enough to choose from and high quality. Service: very friendly and helpful. Location: its on a quiet town Praiano, but this town has a bit of everything: restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy... It has a small beach with a restaurant that plays chill out music the whole day (its called One fire), we stayed there once and we liked it a lot, only negative point is that the water is very dirty, there's plastic and stuff floating all around you so its not very appealing to take a swim and the staff didnt really make the effort to clean that out with a net, apart from this wonderful place to lay on te sun while listening to nice music and having a drink. From Praiano we did small day trips to different places, its actually perfect because is in between Positano and Amalfi. We rented a scooter to move around because of the freedom it gives you and it also added to the experience, but its also possible to use the buses. In general very good experience.

    Nothing negative to mention.

Accommodation is fairly basic but good value for money in an expensive area. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the water., The staff were helpful in taking us to the beach and showing us bus stops etc. Breakfast was not extensive but quite adequate. Away from the main area of Praiano but within walking distance and close to local transport.

At breakfast time the staff patrol the dining area although it is all self service making you feel a bit uncomfortable.

It is a very quiet area, so I would suggest people do their reasearch into the area, what there is to do, places to eat and how to get around.

Free parking. OK breakfast. Stunning views from our balcony and breakfast room. Convenient access to rest of Amalfi coast by car and bus. Good restaurants within walking distance. Praiano is a pleasant quiet and not dull alternative to Positano and Amalfi.

The view from the balcony is lovely however we would not stay in Praiano again as the town is too small. If you are looking for somewhere that has nothing around it, then this town is for you.

I'd like to give an honest/realistic review as from previous feedback it seems like this Hotel is the best ever, which is why we booked it. I've stayed in great 3 star Hotels before and the previous two nights we stayed in a lovely 3 star hotel in Sorrento but they couldn't be more different. The Hotel is family run and it seems like previous reviewers have been blind-sighted by wanting to be nice to them rather than giving an honest opinion. So here goes... For what it is, this Hotel is very expensive. It is probably due to it being on the Amalfi Coast but the facilities available (the Hotel is very small) certainly don't warrant such a heft price tag. The bed was so hard that we woke up with very stiff backs. Linen napkins are used as hand towels and a non absorbent tea towel like material for towels - not nice to use. The wifi was terrible, it kept dropping out and there is only service for one device in your room only. It is not accessible in the foyer or breakfast area. They seemed to think that because they had internet on their computer (which was plugged into the router) everyone should have wifi. We had to go to reception to ask for more toilet paper, the cleaner dropped it to our room but walked in the door without knocking! My husband was in the shower and it was lucky I was near the door to intercept her going into the bathroom. There was no shower curtain over the bath so water went all over the floor. Although they advertise a shuttle service, there is no shuttle. If you want to get picked up from the SITA bus stop or town you have to call ahead and they will drive down in their car - a useful piece of information they shared after we had walked up the steep hill with our bags. The restaurant does not serve anything other than breakfast and the breakfast wasn't great as they had rubbery cheese and stale bread. For Italy I thought the coffee might have at least been good but it was horrible.

Wonderful Wonderful!!!! We were a group of six American women friends and had a fabulous time from the moment we checked in. Management was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The hotel price was a great value. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I stayed in room number three on the second floor decorated in light violet and I was greeted with rose petals sprinkled on the bed and the terrace doors open to a huge balcony with a wonderful view of the Mediterranean. Hotel Holiday will definitely be a repeat stay when we return on our girlfriend trip in two years.

I can not think of one thing that I or anyone in our group disliked about Hotel Holiday.

Very nice and friendly stuff, always ready to help! Nice location - 10 min to the beach (but be ready for the stairs) and 10 min by bus to Positano. Car parking!!! Nice breakfast area with the beautiful view.

Bed was not very comfortable. Ants in the room. Wanted to use minibar fridge - but the housemaid took our bottles out every day. Hotell is a bit overpriced, but it's Amalfi coast :)

The balcony with seaview was very nice. Breakfast was good. It's a 20 min walk down to the beach (where reasturants are), but it's a pretty walk thorugh small alleys and definitely worth it.

The staff was not friendly at all.
