Service,room and breakfast
Great view. No lift. Clean. Close to bus stop.
Access to hotel is through tunnel. Tip: get to hotel when there is not traffic.
This place was SO GREAT. My room had an incredibly beautiful view right onto the water, and the location was smack bang right in the middle of Amalfi. The staff were incredibly helpful and gave me a hand organizing a taxi to the wedding I was going to in Ravello. The room was small, but the perfect size for a solo traveller. The view from the shared terrace was absolutely incredible - honestly, this place will blow up your instagram feed with its amazingness. The hotel's on the top floor of a building with lots of stairs and no lift, but you'll find that's very standard for Italy. There are stairs everywhere, it's pretty unavoidable! The breakfast was good - croissants, meats, cheeses, jams etc. etc. etc. Everything was just great. Such good value for money. I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat!
The staff were helpful & very friendly. Maria was amazing! The location is wonderful & view is beautiful! A bit nosey at night due to the business of the streets but was fine once the window was closed. The view was beautiful as well!
Fantastic location right on sea front Lovely room with own private sun terrace-made it a really special sat to be able to lie in bed, with the patio doors open, looking at the sea Good breakfast Handy location for buses, town
50 stairs to climb with heavy luggage!
Great staff, great room, clean, with a view on the port. Great terrasse where you can eat breakfast or just relax.
The bathroom in the single room was really really tiny
Best location for those who travel with ferries. Wonderful ocean view from the window and balcony. Very friendly helpful staff with good information and flexibility.
Show on the wall in the rest room is a bit strange and uncomfortable.
If you arrive in the afternoon you need a cell phone to contact them to come and let you in.
Location is perfect, walking distance to shops, restaurants, cathedral, bus & ferries terminal. The room that we stayed is not big but we have our own terrace balcony w/ superb sea view! Breakfast was really good. Good value for money. Many thanks to Ana Maria who is very kind, helpful & accomodating to us. And also thanks to Valerio who drove us to a very nice swimming pool w/c is free access for all the guest. I would highly recommend this place.
Be sure to inform the time of you're arrival because they don't have 24hrs staff at the reception. Be prepared to walk upstairs coz it is located on the 3rd floor of an old bldg.
Only after I saw the negative reviews is that regretted having made the booking. However upon arriving, the hotel really has no employees there and had to call a number for someone to come open the door and give the key to my room. My room was super clean, practical and comfortable. I saw no sign of dirt or broken appliances or things. The breakfast was excellent and well served and a very sympathetic clerk gave me all the attention. I have nothing to complain about it, it was a great surprise.
Not like air have come to have no one at the hotel. I had to call the telephone number indicated, but which does not have a phone or can not speak English or Italian? How do?
It was worst hotel we've ever stayed...The room had no windows, our car was parked 5km far from the hotel, It was a note in the room regarding ants, so I was not sleeping all night. Feeling like in a cellar.
My hostess Anna Maria was amazing. So kind & helpful. She worked really hard to accommodate guests & ensure I was comfortable. She was warm and friendly. I really enjoyed staying here.
A bit noisy at night due to entertainment & being on the main street
Friendly staff, good location right by the bus station / ferry terminal, decent breakfast, clean rooms, good value.
Bit hard to find, had to ask 2-3 times before we found it. Entrance is a inconspicuous green door in front of a tunnel. Nothing negative to mention otherwise about the hotel per se. More a general comment / advice do travel with little luggage as most hotels along the Amafli coast are located in old buildings with no elevators. With 30C temperatures it can be gruelling getting from the bus to a hotel and then having to climb up dozens of steps to get to your room! Two hotels we stayed at (including this one) were on the 3rd/4th floor with no elevator.
Beatiful place is center of the amalfi,
Amazing view over the harbour and really tidy, summery room. Fantastic breakfast on the balcony! Staff were very helpful as well.
It's a little hard to find when you get off the boat. (It's up the first road on the left after you walk out of the harbour!)
The room had the most spectacular view. It was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good.
The hotel is very difficult to find and the staff are sitting in another hotel down the road so the reception is unmanned. The bedside lamp did not work as the cord was broken. the cord for the TV was frayed but worked. The bathroom was extremely small... the toilet is positioned in the space where you would ideally like to stand.
the view from the balcony
the location of the enterace to the hotel very difficult to find
Fantastic views from the breakfast area. Location in front of bus stop (but check before on line how to reach the street). Good breakfast.
We got a room without window and with a strong smell to humidity. Such room should not be even offered for rent: mold is unhealthy!!! Such room really needs a complete refurbishing.
Location and sea view.
Don't stay in this hotel! Seriously worst hotel we ever stayed in. It's not even a hotel, it's inside an old building on the 4th floor (With no elevator!). There is no reception, you need to call a number to check in, we waited for 1 hour and a half to check in. The room was very very old and not clean. I found a cockroach in the bathroom, the shower and sink were not cleaned. The parking provided and the pool advertised are 4km from the hotel in the mountains, not a walking distance!!! They either take the car and park it for you or drive you back after parking. In all cases, very long waiting time. Very expensive for value
Beautiful views of the harbour, within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants, quiet hotel with clean rooms and the lady at reception went out of her way to see that we enjoyed our stay
decor a little dated, but expected for this price
Great staff, especially the nice lady that made us excellent American breakfast. Clean, great water view from room and excellent terrace
Steep 3 - story staircase and front door on very busy street was dangerous
The hotel is right in the middle of Amalfi, which is very practical and our sea view was fantastic. The staff are in general nice.
The bed was very uncomfortable and we did not sleep well. The thick extra wool blanket had a crust (I don't even want to know what it was) and hair on it. The bathroom is very outdated, mould everywhere, lightbulbs not replaced etc. The so called large buffet was very small, cold fried eggs, hard toast, tiny bowl of musli, plates were dirty (not just one of them). However, they did have a lot of cakes which might be part of an Italian breakfast. Pls note that you need to call them before arrival and that someone comes along - no 24 hour reception! This might be a problem if you don't have a phone in Italy.
- Spacious room - Amazing view onto the Amalfi Harbour (not from all rooms!) from private terrace - Good room facilities: TV (only italian channels!), bathroom
- Personnel very mixed. Some employees were ok, but our main point of contact was grumpy, wearing the same sloppy tracksuit for 5 days straight. Not a great rep for a B&B like that. - Breakfast was AWFUL! - Terrible Wifi - unusable - Other Rooms in this B&B looked awful! No windows or air con: Guests were sleeping with open room doors and had to dry their clothes on the community terrace! - If you have a car, it'll be a nightmare for you. We had to call the b&b receptionist to pick up the car and park it at an unknown location, keeping the keys. We then had to call again and arrange a return time. The return and pickup was always late, so keep that delay in mind. VERY LIMITING!
The room was clean, breakfast was fine, location excellent right in town and where the bus drop u off (although we drove).
50 stairs 1 foot high, very intense work out! Horrible if you have a suitcase, we did not get any help w our luggage. If you won't have a phone with you (like we are from the usa and we had no signal) this is not a good place for you. The only way we could get someone to open the hotel and get our car to the parking lot was by calling them, no staff at the hotel. If it wasn't for the kind lady in the bed and breakfast who is located on the 1st floor of same building who lent us her phone, we would have never gotten a hold of someone even though we had reservations. The man we received us got out car to park it 5 km away and we had to let him know when we needed the car God forbid we needed it another time because there was no way to get help from anyone other than by calling and it felt as if we were bothering him. The room had an ocean view window with no locks nor bars to protect kids from falling (this was concerning) and in the morning breakfast is prepared right there by the rooms with lots of noise.
