Score from 144 reviews Good
The room was very spacious and the breakfast included was self-service so you could eat as little or as much as you wanted. Staff were friendly but we didn't see much of them.
The location is a fair walk from the centre of Rome (at least half an hour) but the metro is a few minutes walk away and gets you to termini in about 20 minutes. It's not a very pretty location but fine for the price.
This is a value for money accommodation with a very nice owner. Plenty of Bathrooms and rooms are spacious.
THe location is in close proximity to the Vatican but on the side opposite to tickets it requires a reasonable to get tickets and another walk to get to the entrance of the museums. I had a a bad leg and it was a difficult walk but also a small taxi ride which taxi drivers got grumpy about.
Wifi was fast and location is good, close to public transportations.
very poor service... surprisingly rude and unfriendly staff. Have been staying in many different B&Bs and this was definitely the worst one. Will not recommend any single stay at this place.
Host was very sweet and helpful, though she did not speak ANY English at all. Room was cleaned thoroughly every day, as were the bathrooms and kitchen. Very close to Metro, but distant from city center. Shops and restaurants close by. Great wifi
VERY small room, big enough for a single bed and small table top. No a/c, but did have small fan. Breakfast was only coffee, watered down orange drink and toast with jelly (no butter).
The room was like shown on the pictures. It was spacious en we had indeed a little bit view on the St Peters Basilica.
We choose this B&B because the comments and rating on booking.com were very good, but in the whole line it didn't live up to our expectations. Here are some of our annoyances: - The owner couldn't speak one word of English. For us she was also to affectionate. - we had 1 big and 1 small towel per person for 5 days!!! Everyday we took a shower because of the heat (or twice a day), so we had to do it always with the same towel. For us that's not acceptable. - it was a shared bathroom and we're very disappointed about the hygiene; there was long hair on the floor, remains of toothpaste on the sink, ... from the person before us. There were also 2 bathrooms; 1 bigger with a bath and 1 smaller with a shower; but the shower was so small that the shower curtain sticked to your body - the breakfast was totally NOT what we expected. In the information on 'booking.com' they say you get an Italian breakfast; If that is an Italian breakfast ...? The kitchen where you can eat your breakfast is about 3 on 5 meter big. There is 1 small table which is dressed for only 2 people (of course there are more people staying in the B&B so if you are later then you have to find the cutlery and other things yourself). The breakfast consists of toastbread, jam, nutella, coffee and (juice in the fridge). The first 2 days we tried to eat there, but is was so unpleasant that we desided to get somewhere else breakfast the other days.
Very handy to the Sistine Chapel and the Metro. Very helpful friendly staff.
location was excellent. very clean. large room. super nice staff. have fan and tv. all good.
our room is the farest in the corridor. so the wifi connector is not very good. Other area is great. Morning breakfast is self-made. only bread, cereal. but drink have many choices : fruits. milk. coffee very good.
Staff was so nice. Location was close to vatican (20 min walking) and to Cipro Metro (5min walking). Facilities were small but very good, if you only want to come back to sleep then its all good.
Wifi signal was a little sketchy sometimes. It would disconnect sometimes and others it was simple excellent.
it was clean, quiet, had a view of St. Peter's Basicila, and had good amenities. The host was the sweetest lady, but she does not speak any English.
The language difference was a bit of a barrier. Also, we had arranged to check in early to drop our bags off, but nobody answered the buzzer to let us in. Luckily, someone else walked through and we were able to sneak in and found our host where she said she would be - but it was scary for a moment. It's also not super easy to find and is in kind of a boring part of town.
It was perfectly clean. Everyday you can find hot coffee in the kitchen.
Wifi didn't work in our room. I think it's place was so far.
The b&b is very closed to the Cipro metro station. Convenient neighborhood. Warm welcome at check-in. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious enough and clean. Plenty of choices for breakfast. The smiley lady who cannot speak English always made us feel warm during our stay.
Great place overall. Staff is fantastic and want to ensure you (as a traveller) get the most out of your stay. Highly recommend to anyone. Location is excellent as well. Metro stations are 5-10 minute walk and get you into the downtown within 20 minutes.
I liked that it was very quiet and very clean, and the room was big, it even had a TV and Wi-fi and a conditioning.
Nice staff, good location
Very little breakfast, tiny room
Staff was very kind and helpful. I would choose it next time as well.
wifi was not fluently :-D but staff was working on it.
Staff (Kat) is amazing. Location was fantastic. Close to metro and Great local restaurants. The Vatican is a short walk away!
Walking distance to the Vatican
Wifi cut out often, no access to the kitchen during the day
Very clean which is the most important, about 5 minutes walking to the metro station Cipro. Our room (3 bed private) was very big. Although there wasn't a private bathroom, there were 2 shared bathrooms (very clean too) but the whole B&B has few rooms so don't having a private bathroom wasn't a problem! The girl Katerina from the staff was very kind, helpfull and available to give us any information about the city. It's in a good location if you want to visit vatican and the city centre is about 5 stops with the metro.
A bit noisy because it's on a main street but we were so exhausted at night that we immediately fell asleep. You can't use the kitchen except the breakfast time (7-10) The breakfast was very simple but not a big deal. Better catch the metro to get back to the B&B at night from the centre because taxis are a bit expensive in rome at night.
When we booked the bnb we were under the impression that we had booked a room for 2 people as that was what we searched for. And we were shocked that it turned out to be a single person booking. This had to be checked looking at some icon while I was booking but frankly it wasn't very obvious. While the booking was not cancellable, we had little choice left. The property manager then worked out special price, but still we had to pay more and thats where this property was at par with any hotel that we could have booked.
1. Vatican museums are quite near (do not forget to buy ticket online to skip the very long line and save ~3 hours of your life). 2. Nice english-speaking hostess and host. 3. Absolute cleanliness everywhere. (If you want to watch something on TV - tune it in advance, it takes time. For russian visitors: VK is banned in Italia, google the solution.)
1. Yes, sometimes it can be noisy: e.g. other guests may happen to leave at 6 a.m. so they produce so much noise: walls seem to be thin and don't save. But it can't be helped :)
Simple but beautiful rooms, new furniture. Everything is kept very clean. Very friendly staff! Close to the city center.
The situation of the hotel (very close to the Vatican)
The room was very noisy (the windows were not soundproof) and we couldn't even speak in the evening because the persons who were in the room near to us heard us and knocked on the wall even if we were speaking normally. Moreover, someone tried to get in our room during the night and tried to open the door. Fortunatelly we locked it. For breakfast there was only coffee/tea and white bread with jam. We were really happy when we left that hotel, I don't recommend it at all. It's too expensive for what it is really.
The lcoation is good. It is close to metro station and close to Vatican.
It is a guest house. It is ran by a young couple. The female host is nice and friendly while her boyfriend is so so. We arrived the guesthouse at 11am. When we arrived there, the man told us that we could not check-in before 4pm!! I have to say this is the lastest check-in for me (I am dong tourism in China for 8 years so far). That was fine for late check-in. Then we asked if we could go to bathroom but we were refused because the man told us the bathroom was cleaning and could not be used...the man host's attitude and talking made us worried. However, that is his attitude, from our talking later, we found him being not bad. We did not expect too much about the breakfast and it proofs that you can not expect anything. It is a guesthouse! The female host was very kind to upgrade our room to a big room. The only thing is that the door is not good because people can see if they want.
A wonderful welcome. They went above and beyond to accommodate us.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money.
On arrival it isnt the easiet place to find.
