Very nice room. Overall it was ok.
Walking distance to Cipro metro. Excellent restaurant across the road. Staff speak excellent English and are very helpful.
Poor access to shower and WC. No soap provided with towel.
Very clean, comfortable bed, and big and modern shower rooms. Staff friendly.
It was in a complex of apartments not easy and visible to reach from the outside
Location is just near by Vatican so easy to reach City center by foot. Room was clean and cosy.
Breakfast: buns and jam/butter. Would like to have at least a bit cheese or meat. Also, not comfortable when it's locked during day and you cannot borrow bottle opener or glass/cup. Arrival was a bit unpleasant, but maybe we pissed the lady off by arriving 21.30 (too late?)
Very clean, very good wifi
Little contact with the personel - only during check-in, only responding to my question, no initiative to tell me anything about practical things (what key open which door, where will be the breakfast and what is available)
near to the metro Cipro comfortable beds
the kitchen open only 7.00 - 10.00, I booked triple room but staff has info about double.... after 15 minutes they deliver third bed and promise that we receive bigger room next day but next day nobody do it. Just after arrival I have to pay before I can see the room. There are two bathrooms. One of it has too small shower. Isn`t possible to close the door !!! On the door there is info that you have to close the door... I wanted to write under: HOW CAN I DO IT? ( I dont write yet).
Lovely coffee, biscuits and tarts for breakfast, very comfortable bed, very clean with fresh sheets every two days. Caretaker very friendly and helpful and left kettle available for evening drink. Many thanks.
Had to keep window open at night because so hot which meant a lot of traffic noise including sirens and revving motorbikes.
nothing at all.
I can’t understand how this room has 8.0. Have been staying in many different B&Bs and this was definitely the worst one. It’s more like a hostel than a b&b. Old, small, frumpy unclean rooms & shared bathroom. Not at all similar to the images on the web. Hardly anything for breakfast and you have to wash the dishes. Surprisingly rude and unfriendly staff. When we arrived at 11:00 and asked if we could leave our luggage they told us if we would clean the room by ourselves!!! Very disappointed. If we had been staying for more than a night I would have moved hotel. Will not recommend any single stay at this place.
It was really clean
It was really noisy! The location is far away from the city center. You have to walk or catch the metro
Good location, good size room, fairly clean.
No air conditioning, traffic noise VERY loud always. No tea or coffee making facilities or any access to cups or glasses after 10am. No mirrors in bedroom! VERY basic breakfast of cereal, bread and jam and long life milk, filter coffee machine did not work in the 7 days we were there. TV in room could only pick up Russia Today in English, ALL other channels were Middle Eastern in Arabic, one channel was Ayatolla someone or other! Only changed bed linen and towels once in 7 nights. Always had to queue for bathrooms (2 only and one was so small you could barely move in the shower!and the toilet was faulty) We never saw the owners at all in our stay.
Location was ok, but still a 15 minute walk from Metro Cypro. Girls were helpful and friendly
No AC so we had to suffer with a fan in the heat at night. The rooms are very small and very loud as can hear every door open and close in the whole building! Breakfast was very basic and the worst coffee/milk i have ever tasted, next time i will pay a bit more and get a decent nights sleep!!
It is walkable to the Vatican.
Old, frumpy unclean rooms & shared bathroom. Not at all similar to the images on the web. Very disappointed. Also on a main street so traffic can be heard all night. If we had been staying for more than a night & was not so exhausted I would have moved hotels.
Kindness of the owner
Breakfast not in Italian style. Quite far from Termini.
Good service quality, nice staff and clean environment.
There's no air conditioning there, fortunately there wasn't too hot and we have a fan in the room...
+ very clean + nice and kind host + good wi-fi + close to Vatican and Cirpo metro station
- kitchen is only available from 7 to 10 am - if you have windows on the side od the street, it can be loud at night
it is a good position, five minutes from vatican museum.
we expected a better breakfast.
- near underground station Cipro (5 minutes walking) - cleaness, two shower rooms
- breakfast (very basic) - noisy place (ring bell, washing machine)
The room was very spacious and the breakfast included was self-service so you could eat as little or as much as you wanted. Staff were friendly but we didn't see much of them.
The location is a fair walk from the centre of Rome (at least half an hour) but the metro is a few minutes walk away and gets you to termini in about 20 minutes. It's not a very pretty location but fine for the price.
The ladies who work there are very nice, fom philippines. From them there is nothing bad. The location is quite good.
There are many points to improve in Home de Chiara, she seems to be suspicious with everyone. It is not possible reach the kitchen facilities in the afternoon and at night because the door is locked. There are 2 bathrooms, but in one of them the area to have a shower is incredibly small, meaning that is impossible to have a comfortable shower because the curtain touches the body the whole time. It is also given only one key in the stay.
This is a value for money accommodation with a very nice owner. Plenty of Bathrooms and rooms are spacious.
THe location is in close proximity to the Vatican but on the side opposite to tickets it requires a reasonable to get tickets and another walk to get to the entrance of the museums. I had a a bad leg and it was a difficult walk but also a small taxi ride which taxi drivers got grumpy about.
Wifi was fast and location is good, close to public transportations.
very poor service... surprisingly rude and unfriendly staff. Have been staying in many different B&Bs and this was definitely the worst one. Will not recommend any single stay at this place.
Host was very sweet and helpful, though she did not speak ANY English at all. Room was cleaned thoroughly every day, as were the bathrooms and kitchen. Very close to Metro, but distant from city center. Shops and restaurants close by. Great wifi
VERY small room, big enough for a single bed and small table top. No a/c, but did have small fan. Breakfast was only coffee, watered down orange drink and toast with jelly (no butter).
The room was like shown on the pictures. It was spacious en we had indeed a little bit view on the St Peters Basilica.
We choose this B&B because the comments and rating on booking.com were very good, but in the whole line it didn't live up to our expectations. Here are some of our annoyances: - The owner couldn't speak one word of English. For us she was also to affectionate. - we had 1 big and 1 small towel per person for 5 days!!! Everyday we took a shower because of the heat (or twice a day), so we had to do it always with the same towel. For us that's not acceptable. - it was a shared bathroom and we're very disappointed about the hygiene; there was long hair on the floor, remains of toothpaste on the sink, ... from the person before us. There were also 2 bathrooms; 1 bigger with a bath and 1 smaller with a shower; but the shower was so small that the shower curtain sticked to your body - the breakfast was totally NOT what we expected. In the information on 'booking.com' they say you get an Italian breakfast; If that is an Italian breakfast ...? The kitchen where you can eat your breakfast is about 3 on 5 meter big. There is 1 small table which is dressed for only 2 people (of course there are more people staying in the B&B so if you are later then you have to find the cutlery and other things yourself). The breakfast consists of toastbread, jam, nutella, coffee and (juice in the fridge). The first 2 days we tried to eat there, but is was so unpleasant that we desided to get somewhere else breakfast the other days.
Very handy to the Sistine Chapel and the Metro. Very helpful friendly staff.
