Score from 214 reviews Very good
Very clean and fridge well stocked.
Too many stairs and hills to reach the property No telephone in the apartments making impossible to reach anyone during an emergency
we were group of 6 female friends. This place is excellent location to vatican museum, beautiful garden ,comfort rooms, most impression things unexpacting breakfast we had each morning. when I go to Rome next time would stay this place again.
Hotel owner is a very nice man and very helpful, though he doesn't speak much English. The hotel is located behind Vatican, 5 min walk to Vatican Museum. We walked a whole day to all scenic spots in Rome! It's crazy and fun.
Not easy to find this hotel. Pls read carefully the door plate 51/E. We knocked on the wrong doors (there are 51 B, C, D, E...).
Very enjoyable stay. We stayed here in the middle of a 3 week European vacation and had our best sleeps of the whole time here. While at first appearance when you pull up it doesn't look very appealing once you enter it is very nice, up to date for the most part and kept very clean. Roberto (the owner) is very nice as is Linda the lady who actually cleans and looks after the place. They have a beautiful and very friendly Labrador Retriever that the kids loved to play with in the mornings before we left to see the sights of Rome! Very quiet at night which was great. We would recommend in a minute
The location is a bit out of the way if you like to be near the main attractions however it is very close to the Vatican. It is up a bit of a hill when walking and in the mid-August heat it did get to be a bit much. You can get a taxi from the bottom of the hill near St. Peters Square but many of the taxi drivers don't want to take you because it is such a short drive (less than 5 minutes)
Sr. Roberto was very helpful on arrival by pointing out local amenities (Metro, supermarkets, etc.) and sites (St Peter's etc.) Their pet dog (?Alichio) was very friendly and protective. In the accommodation supplies for hot beverages, tarts, melba toast, jam, and water were provided. Towels were changed every day and shower gel provided. The location was perfect for peace and quiet, with good access to the metro (Cipro metro 10-minute tourist walk) and the 49 bus a few minutes from the property. Vatican Museums - 15 minute tourist walk, St Peter's Square - 30 minute tourist walk. We had the two single bedded and the double bedded apartment. Both had terraces where you could sit and relax, they also had air conditioning and television. Sr. Roberto was very quick dealing with any issues (a spotlight wasn't working and he changed it as soon as we reported it). Very good value for money - would highly recommend.
Wi-Fi reception was intermittent in the double bedroom apartment, but it was the furthest from the main house so not unexpected. It was very good in the twin bedded room.
Comfortable space with kitchen available. Wonderful garden area with outside patio which is very relaxing. Daughter Andrea was helpful with directions and recommendations and Sr. Roberto loves his city and is full of history info. Lovely place.
Difficult to find by address listed. Recommend reading confirmation email before venturing to 51 Via Vatican. Should be 51D. Some walking distance to restaurants.
Near to the Vatican, quiet, nice little garden, spacious room, daily room service with new linen.
The room downstairs is at the corner of the house where people get in and out, you cannot leave the windows open without anybody looking inside or hearing people passing by.
Old papa is super nice. We got milk, bread, hot coffee, butters and jams everyday. Location is great，very near the Vatican city.
the bed is a little bit too soft.
Roberto, the hotel owner, is very very nice!!! Hotel is also great!
Lovely Roman house. Felt a safe area. Better than some large hotels in other areas. We were supplied with breakfast, had milk and water on arrival. Always plenty of hot water. Close to St Peters Square, etc. Lovely garden. Roberto very helpful. Great having free wi-fi. Fantastic value for money. Would recommend to anyone wanting a pleasant Roman experience.
Not near supermarket but we did no need one as we collected milk on way back to apartment.
Easy access and easy to find Flexibility with checking in and out.
The owner is very nice! The house is clean.
Everything! Roberto is really helpful and the place is beautiful. It is like a villa. Nice furniture, fully equipped (kitchen is incl. tea, sugar, coffee, cutlery, etc. they have ironing board ready, tv, aircon, even a garden where you can sit around and relax.) Location is super near the Vatican City. Value for money is great!
Finding it might be difficult since there are only numbers on the address at booking.com - without the additional letter. It should be 51D and not just 51. But quick googling will solve the problem. For the rest, it is really recommended!
