Location is great. hostel is perfect if you want to spend a few days in Florence, but not to much time in the room. They could invest a bit more into room design, equipment...but no bad experiences infact. ...wi-fi didnt work in our room, but I think it did in the garden.
The Land Lady and location of the area
We were not able to sleep well because we had so many insect bites in our whole body, itchy and in red color . The place should be sanitized well before accepting clients..we need to buy insect spray for the room but bites spread so sudden that up to now we are feeling discomfort and buying oitment medicine but our trip o other places is somehow affected because of discomfort.
Place- right in the city center, very close to train station Friendly young man on reception with good English Correlation quality-price
A bit stinky in the shower
Location was fantastic; under 10 mins walk to the railway station, less than 5 mins from Il Mercato Centrale & the leather markets, as well as many of the other main attractions.
Bathroom smelt, and was in need of a very thorough clean.
Great location, next to SMN train station with many trattorias nearby... The old lady there was very nice and friendly.. Free wifi although the signal wasn't very strong..
Very uncomfortable shower. They don't clean the room every day. You don't always find the staff when you need them (day or night). Not much privacy (room overlooking the garden)..
Very central location. Nice people. Quiet.
Could be a bit cleaner but nothing awful!
Good central location
This hostel should be avoided. It is not worth the money unless you are willing to put up with discomfort in the interest of proximity to sights. Very dirty, smelly bathrooms, horrendous kitchen (the worst my husband and I have ever seen at a hostel). Don't expect to be able to cook but if you are brave enough just remember there are only two forks, one pan, one spoon, and a dangerous looking archaic stovetop to share among the 20 hostel guests). The rooms were actually not so bad, but there was no A/C and so open windows/noise/mosquito problems every night. Florence is small and easy to walk around, so I recommend staying at a budget hotel slightly further from the city center. It would be a far better use of your money. The owners of this hostel clearly do not invest any of their earnings back into the facilities.
the hostel has a nice yard where customers can get together
there is no wifi in this hostel, and the bathroom doesn't look clean at all
The hosts were nice people. The beds were clean and the rooms were okay, nothing fancy as expected, but not dirty or in bad condition. It was safe, as the building door was locked at night and we were given separate keys to be able to go back whenever we need to. The location was perfect, close to everything in central Florence. I would stay there again.
The bathroom wasn't exactly dirty, however, there was always a bad smell coming from the sewers. The hosts barely spoke any English, so it was sometimes hard to communicate.
good location, next to the train station, and quiet at night
the room was very moldy. there was a weird smell in the bathroom, like something was rotting. I think the ground floor was probably not even suitable for people to live. It just smelled so wet and moldy.
The location is fine.
The common kitchen is so dusty that I wonder if it hasn't been used for ages. The room is dark and humid.
Location, stuff and comfort was excellent! If i will go to florance again i will exactly stay inthis hostel! It was totally perfect place to stay.
Great location, no curfew, bed comfortable enough, good lock up for belongings to be kept
Woman working was rude and unwelcoming, bathroom was very dirty, wifi did not work at all. Overall building was not very nice.
The linens were not clean, the bed smelled of sweat and body odor. There were bed bugs and I had bites all over. I would not go back or recommend this hostel to anyone.
Location , location , Price
bed sheets were kind of over used . not high quality over all .
Noise, old very old towels, apparirence
The location is very good, only three to five minutes walk from the central station. The owner is a nice old man, who is really kind and he showed me all the things himself and was always willing to help. There is a small garden in front if the hostel and the small plants were really amazing. It's more like home than like a hostel. Loved it! And really good value of money.
The temperature of the water is a little bit too low... But others were really great :)
Easy to find, good location
The room was nasty, And my passport was not returned to me after making a photocopy, so later I had to return to the hotel to try and get it.
The best thing about it is the location, which is near both the city center and the train station. The old lady owning the hostel was really nice and willing to help. I was staying alone in a 5-bed dormitory, so it was very good for me. The Wifi was really good.
It's like a family-owned hostel, so you can expect a lot of imperfections. The toilet was missing toilet paper and wasn't always clean. The cleaning man can enter the room without notice, because he speaks in Italian only, and i don't understand him.
Bathroom facilities lacking. Wifi situation needs some work as well if you advertise it as available.
Location is close to the train station Staff was very nice and helpful Bed was comfy
The water when taking a shower was a bit on the cool side
Just off the central location with courtyard
Very unclean washroom shower no locks on ground floor windows People sat outside window smoking. the paper thin walls meant listening to high volume tv half night
Everything. This was the worst hostel I've been in my life. Firstly, the lady who is most of the time the staff is not friendly and is not intended to help when asked. Secondly, the bathroom was dirty for the two days I spent there, malodorous and underwear scattered on the floor. Thirdly, the room and the bed linens were malodorous. Not to mention that I had done booking room for two people and actually gave me room for six people.
