Score from 1006 reviews Very good
Dirty bathroom, no kitchen or kettle to make a tea, cold room (the heating stopped working after a few hours)
Perfect location, very nice and helpful owners, hot water in bathroom
The bathroom is not clean
Good location, free wifi
alot of wierd italian customers were there. loud and smoking in the room
very friendly staff. speaks good english. location was close to the duomo and the station.
If Matteo is not there (the guy at the desk) you're done! No communication with people there. You are being like a unwanted guest while you stay... I was at the door and they told me that hostel is full even I had a reservation and they just tell me to come tomorrow while I had no place to stay and booked this place!!!! I forced them to open the door and let me in then they gave me a room from their B&B place after I waited almost for an hour in front of the door! They are just the rudest and modest people you can stop by.
Location is really great and Matteo, the guy who works at reception is understandable. Price is also fair enough for budget traveling.
bathroom is not very clean.
location Is good.
Wifi not working inside the room
Cleanliness Room Position
Very friendly staff, safe location, WiFi...
The bathroom lights would go out automatically which made showering a somewhat challenging task
Staff were very nice and helpful and the hotel was right in the middle of the historical centre. The rooms had lockers and the beds were comfy. Free Wi-Fi. You could cook your own food if you wanted to.
The hotel's owners are an old couple. The man is the recepcionist and the women is the cleaner. The hostel is very dirty in all senses. I found the owner cleaning her foots on the common bath sink, and then cuttin her foot's nail on the main gate of the hostel.
You can hear EVERYTHING through the thin walls. Staff kicked us out at 10 AM punctually.
Central location and friendly welcome
Sometimes at night it gets a bit too noisy, but the rest is just fine
I think is very well located and the people are nice. The rooms are clean and tidy, the toilets as well and they give a small towel, which is really useful
Kitchen awful, certainly wouldn't want to use it. Staff a little offhand, not overly helpful. Lack of bathrooms for number of people staying.
It's location is perfect. Bed was clean and comfortable.
Two nights there. First nignt; lots of mosquitos( I should say vampires), and noise coz of the open window. In the morning - Yellow Zombie. The second night- better. They plug in sth against the vampires. Result 1d (-4)+2d (+2)= -2. - Not recomended
The situation is good-the only positive thing.
Wifi only in lobby.
Near the train station..3 blocks. In downtown. Walk every wear. Nice people.
Location is great. hostel is perfect if you want to spend a few days in Florence, but not to much time in the room. They could invest a bit more into room design, equipment...but no bad experiences infact. ...wi-fi didnt work in our room, but I think it did in the garden.
We were not able to sleep well because we had so many insect bites in our whole body, itchy and in red color . The place should be sanitized well before accepting clients..we need to buy insect spray for the room but bites spread so sudden that up to now we are feeling discomfort and buying oitment medicine but our trip o other places is somehow affected because of discomfort.
The Land Lady and location of the area
A bit stinky in the shower
Place- right in the city center, very close to train station Friendly young man on reception with good English Correlation quality-price
Bathroom smelt, and was in need of a very thorough clean.
Location was fantastic; under 10 mins walk to the railway station, less than 5 mins from Il Mercato Centrale & the leather markets, as well as many of the other main attractions.
Very uncomfortable shower. They don't clean the room every day. You don't always find the staff when you need them (day or night). Not much privacy (room overlooking the garden)..
Great location, next to SMN train station with many trattorias nearby... The old lady there was very nice and friendly.. Free wifi although the signal wasn't very strong..
Could be a bit cleaner but nothing awful!
Very central location. Nice people. Quiet.
This hostel should be avoided. It is not worth the money unless you are willing to put up with discomfort in the interest of proximity to sights. Very dirty, smelly bathrooms, horrendous kitchen (the worst my husband and I have ever seen at a hostel). Don't expect to be able to cook but if you are brave enough just remember there are only two forks, one pan, one spoon, and a dangerous looking archaic stovetop to share among the 20 hostel guests). The rooms were actually not so bad, but there was no A/C and so open windows/noise/mosquito problems every night. Florence is small and easy to walk around, so I recommend staying at a budget hotel slightly further from the city center. It would be a far better use of your money. The owners of this hostel clearly do not invest any of their earnings back into the facilities.
Good central location
there is no wifi in this hostel, and the bathroom doesn't look clean at all
the hostel has a nice yard where customers can get together
The bathroom wasn't exactly dirty, however, there was always a bad smell coming from the sewers. The hosts barely spoke any English, so it was sometimes hard to communicate.
The hosts were nice people. The beds were clean and the rooms were okay, nothing fancy as expected, but not dirty or in bad condition. It was safe, as the building door was locked at night and we were given separate keys to be able to go back whenever we need to. The location was perfect, close to everything in central Florence. I would stay there again.
