I really appreciated the nice and kind receptionists, chambermaids and other personnel of Hostel Prima Base besides I was also happy to stay in an international environment as one of the advantage of Hostel Prima Base is its being relatively small and cozy.

Friendly staff Good (but basic) breakfast

-A bit out of the way to get to the city centre -Doors are loud, so you can hear people coming and going all through the night -Only one electrical outlet in room -Wifi was unreliable -Light fixture was a little faulty -Bug bites during the night

The location was good, away from all the noise. And just a 3min busride from the metro (then around 15min to the colosseum). The staff spoke some english but allways tried their best. Lockable box for a small bag.

Very nice staff, clean facilities, old but clean beds, air condition devices in every room, some rooms have lockers, a living room and a kitchen with fridge

The hostel is distant from the city core (but easy to reach, within 30min by bus and metro)

What I liked the most was Alfio, the manager. He is a very nice and communicative person. He made me feel home. I will definetly book again. Thanks Alfio!! Also, the place is very peaceful. No noise, traffic or else.

I did not like Gaia, the receptionist. She was rude upon check-in. The rest of the staff was very nice.

    Free Breakfast

Hardly any English-speakers among staff, very loud talking + other noise by staff during entire nights!

i liked a lot staff, super friendly and i had a feeling like it's a family, big Italian family ) . For location, it's ok, not so close but with one bus and then metro you can get in center in 30 -40 minutes, so it's not a problem. It's safe and there's hot water always and always smiling staff, who will help and make your vacation special. I will recommend this hostel for people, who doesnt expect for small money royal palace) for the price i paid i got a clean bed, hot water bathroom, lots of positive impressions from people i was in , besides one girl Elena) but u can't pick person who will be with you in room ... i plan to come back after i will get my second vacation. Thank you Prima Base for all.

Elena- i saw her in my room for 3 nights and every night i was expecting some crazy things from her... so this was the only thing. though when i was leaving she left ... so ))) if u want to enjoy ur time in Rome, for a small price in a nice place, go to Prima Base

I liked the neighborhood, it's in the urban area, more quiet. Although it takes both the metro and bus to get there from the city, and the public transportation ends at 1:30am, so if you want to go home later than that, there may be a problem. I would also recommend a Roma pass, I bought the 48 hours card, valid for most of the public transportations until midnight.

Loveable staff, good facilities and generous opening hours for the reception. Wifi and a small garden outside.

A bit far from city center but accessable by subway, Also the buffet werent more then croissant and latte but still. For a hostel in this price range its definitly worth the money! Remember to Bring cash euro for bus or subway since there's a lack of atms!!

I want to thank the guys for beeing open and supportive during our trip to Rome. I appreciate the infformations they sent when we asked for directions about how to arrive at the hostel, the free Wi-fi and the free map. Also I like the fact the me and my wi-fe had a room just for the two of us.

I disliked the shower without a cabine (it was just a shower hose between the sink and the toilet bowl), the fact that the bathroom was all cold and without any warming source and the fact that the included breakfest has been the same in both days.

Nothing! The hostel is completely messed up!

Everything there is crap. They don't have a minimum of respect of the clients! All the time they changed me from me room and were completely unprofessional. The don't have control over the keys of the room, anyone can enter there and get your things and even sleep in your bed! That's what happened to me, I went to my bed and there was people sleeping there. And it is very far from the center, the wifi connection is terrible! You should never go to this place and I can sleep anywhere but it is completely disrespectful there!

    * hospitable, friendly and warm italian staff ( execpt the non-italian lady from reception) * cute dog in the garden ;)

    * very noisy, it's hard to fall asleep * dirty facilities, damaged bathroom * insects ( ants?) in the toilet! * ugly and not fully equiped room * localization (far from city center and even from metro station, dangerous neighborhood )

Terrible Hostel. I had a horrible experience in this hostel and I don't recommend to anybody. First of all the location is not good, is even far from the last stop of the metro and it is still necessary to get a bus to get there. Second, the members of staff are totally not organized and the way they control the beds and rooms is a completely mess. I spent three nights there and had problems all of them. Once it was more people than beds in the room, second it was 3 changes of rooms. completely messed up. The breakfast is very poor, only a little cup of coffe and a croissant. They don't have the keys of every room and in one of the nights I was there they had to brake the door to open the room. I didn't even feel safe during my days there. It is possible to imagine how difficult is to walk all day long and get in the hostel without any sure of where are you going to sleep. It was not a good experience and I don't recommend this hostel to anybody.

They serve breakfast only from 8:30. It takes 30 minutes to the city center.

The prise is lowest in Rome, and its in 30 min from the city center by public transport (be bus and metro), nice people work there

This place is really dirty! There is mold all over the walls not only in the wc and showers, but in the bedroom too! Its really dangerous for human health! There was no toilet paper for 2 days, and they give it to me only then I ask! Sheets were dirty too! Dont ever stay there! It was my biggest mistake!
