|Located 300 metres from Sant'Agata Cathedral , Habitat Home offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi and minimal décor. it is located in Catania on Siccily Island.|
The gentleman that helped us check in was super helpful with accommodations, explaining the map and any other needs. He was also great at recommending places to eat. He made sure that the guest are satisfied.
Centrally located, comfortable room with very friendly staff.
My bathroom was external which I knew but it was at the other end of the corridor. The beautiful room shown on the picture was on another floor and my room was plain.
Great position/staff/value for money. Thought the separate bathroom would bother us but it didn't.
Room and bathroom was very clean. Very good location.
to gloomy entrance and staircase at night a little scary.
Carlo was an informed and helpful host. The baroque architecture, frescos and furniture in the main rooms are stunning. Bedrooms and bathrooms are impeccably clean. 12-15' ceilings with crown mouldings & frescos in the bedrooms and a juliet balcony with French doors overlooking the main street. Bathrooms are all marble. This mansion has been lovingly restored and maintained. It was a pleasure to stay here.
Great location right off of Via Etnea! The room was clean and spacious and the external bathroom was clean. Generally very satisfied with our stay here.
The bed was a bit hard
Location is perfect if you want to visit the city.
Room was not exactly what I thought I had booked but it was still ok.
Fantastic hosts, great location, very clean. They made our stay very enjoyable, helped us with any queries, recommended great eating places. We had a wonderful stay!
Quiet clean room with lots of space, balcony overlooking the main street, good bathroom, lovely floor tiles, lift, security, access to functional kitchen. Lots of character. Easy walk to the main sights. Airport bus stop just around the corner (near corner Via Etna and Corso Sicilia)
Fridge in room would be helpful.
Location ,Atmosphere, and Very Helpful staff.
This hotel offers enormous rooms in the center of Catania, with a high ceiling, quick internet, a clean bathroom and working airconditioning. Also, the building has a long history, belonging to a baron. I'm a sucker for those things. And the staff's really nice as well. Enjoy it.
Parking is difficult, but that's Catania's fault. Drop your stuff at the hotel and then drive to a parking lot for ten euro's a day.
Lovely Baroque ceiling as part of the interior of this old palace; very friendly and helpful staff; good location
Bathroom was a long way from my room
Central location, spacious rooms, good air conditioning and wi-fi, the staff is very helpful. Carlo helped us with planning all of our day trips.
Needs a minibar. The bathroom is exclusively yours to use but it is located outside your room.
Beautiful and large room, no noise, perfect location right in the center of Catania (Via Etnea). The host family was extremly nice and helped in any possible way. It was by far the best stay ever and we just loved it. Very clean and save. We for sure will come back to Catania, just to stay at the Gattopardo House again. Best value in town. If you go to Catania, go to Gattopardo House! And I am usually very critical regarding hotels...
Can't think of anything I didn't like. Really! Also my 13 years old son loved it (WiFi worked perfectly, ha ha)
The building itself is really beautiful, and it's located on a very nice spot in the city centre. It's great you can rent such a classy room at this rate.
Nothing, it was perfect!
I have lived in many countries and traveled to many places, yet only in Sicily and in Campania you can find places like this. A stunning apartment with handmade affreschi and other breath taking decorations in an apparently "normal" building. These are lands full of hidden treasures and this place is one of them.
Perfect. However for the breakfast it could make a deal with one of the two historical pasticcerie in Via Etnea, instead of the expensive and not do good bar used at the moment.
Carlo and family/staff provided us (family with child) excellent facilities including a spotless room for us to share, beds that felt they've never been slept in (very comfy), enough room inside with tv, desk, chair, bag facilities, wifi; separate bathroom (bit small) clean and great water pressure etc; access to kitchen, dining, sitting rooms and clothes line (no wash machine) but Carlo did welcome us upon arrival and advise us around including useful advice about Catania & surrounds. Thank you for your exceptional professionalism in service.
No self service wash machine close by but found Hydro Wash about 15min walk away, lady there was great too.
great location and very nice decor and atmosphere
The place was lovely and quirky and Carlo a great host, very helpful.
Best value in Sicily. Quiet, tidy, efficiently managed guest house, in a magnificently restored baroque palace, with an unbeatable location just off Via Etnea a few blocks from the Piazza Duomo, the fish market, etc. Discrete, english-speaking management; will keep your bags at check out so you can enjoy the city for a few more hours. For breakfast, skip the voucher offered by the hotel, instead head down to Caffe Prestipino off the Piazza Universita - the quintessential old time Sicilian pasticcheria. We took a room with a spacious shower and window onto Via Etnea. To mix with actual Italians, grab aperittivo and/or dinner at the urbane, but laid back, Bar Glamour on nearby Via Carcaci. For an aperol spritz and munchies, Bar Savia or Pasticherria Spinella, farther north on Via Etnea, are popular locally and great for people watching. Enjoy!
Central location and very helpful staff.
Lot of space, high ceilings, excellent interior decors, excellent location. Very good value for money.
Private bathroom not directly connected to the room... but that's was the deal!
The staff was very helpful and the location was pretty good.
My bed was a little uncomfortable, but I prefer firmer mattresses.
Front of house family were helpful in all ways, especially regarding places to visit, map locations, bus and train information. Reasonably priced for location. Old fashioned charm of non-glitzy but charming retro-palazzo style.
