Just 300 metres from the Duomo, Hotel Cardinal of Florence is a 3-star building in the city centre. You can enjoy breathtaking views from the rooftop terrace, where breakfast and aperitifs are served....
Score from 907 reviews Very good
To experience Florence at its best, you must live it as a true Florentine. Staying in a luxurious apartment in a Renaissance building is surely going to make the difference.
Score from 445 reviews Wonderful
The Hotel Sempione is ideally located 215 yards from Santa Maria Novella Train Station and a quarter mile from the Fortezza Da Basso Exhibition Centre. Florence Cathedral is a 10-minute walk away.
Score from 930 reviews Very good
This is a great location with easy access to bus lines and museums. The staff were very helpful and kind.
I can't think of anythink
-the location -the staff was friendly
-Hotel with great potential but lack of attention to details (bed spreads and curtains with stains) -Bathroom was outdated (shower without shower cabin) More of a 1-2 stars
fantastic room, unusual shape however high ceilings and nicely decorated.Tea and coffee facilities provided which was a bonus, nice selection for brewkfast and good wifi.
The street and the building itself was very attractive. The staff were friendly and efficient. The area felt safe and very close to all the important sites.
The room was a bit too warm
The staff was very kind and helpfull, the rooms were very nice
the breakfast was a little bit less, but I think its typical for Italy
It was close to the city center. The 4 people bedroom was consisted of 3 single beds and a sofa-bed. Breakfast had sweet things mostly but was quite nice.
There is a central heating and it was too cold in the night. The internet didn't have a good signal on the 3rd floor.
Somewhat close to the main squares as advertised, about 15-20 minute walk.
A/C was not controlled in the room but via a request to the front desk. It took approximately 24 hours to feel a change in temprature. Water mixer in the tub was either hot or cold, both at near unbearable tempratures.
The staff was friendly and helpful, location of hotel was great, clean and spacious rooms, good breakfast.
Everything was great.
It is fairly near the tourist attractions.. probably 10 mins walk to the Duomo..
Wifi is not consistently working.. Safety box was not working as well..
Florence is beautiful and that helps out this hotel. The rooms are large and pretty, common areas are old. Breakfast is poor.It is a cheap hotel.
Staff seemed to make simple things complicated. Sorting out carparking, city tax paid separately in advance only, all tainted the stay
Breakfast was horror.
Big bed, full bathroom, good free breakfast. Close to Duomo, Accademia, and some great restaurants.
Check in was a bit of a wait but no big deal. I couldn't help but notice that a little more organization at the front desk would make the process a lot faster though. Receptionist was nice but I don't think he realized he kept announcing everyone's business very loudly, "You're Room is ___, you're staying for ___ nights..." (I don't think the nice girl staying by herself really wanted the whole line to know that) The room was HOT, called the front and they said the would take care of it but we didn't notice any difference. We ended up sleeping with the window open which helped but regretted all the mosquito bites later. Can't say we will stay again.
Location. Simple but tasteful room decoration.
No fresh fruit or vegetables for breakfast. One morning the breakfast was pretty much plundered half an hour before breakfast time was over and was not replenished anymore.
Excellently laid out quadruple room, with double and two twin beds, separated by a dividing internal wall. Good (if a little noisy) airco and fairly quiet for a room overlooking the street. Clean, well-equipped bathroom. Well located, 10 minutes walk from the Duomo - turn left out of the entrance and you can see it.
BEWARE IF DRIVING - the hotel is (just) located within the Zona a Traffico Limitata (ZTL - Limited Traffic Zone). Do not drive your car to the hotel entrance (even if GPS says you can!) unless you have first registered to do so. This could lead to a very expensive fine. Contact the hotel before arriving. If you don't do so, park on the main ring (on the blue lines) which are only a minute's walk away and then sort it out at reception. Unfortunately, this is not well explained at all on the hotel website. Note also that parking is expensive at around € 25 a day.
Very nice staff, good breakfast, clean.
It is a bit far from the centre for older people; no wardrobe in the room, only a space behind a piece of wall. Noise from the street.
Friendly staff in a good location. My room was excellent value for money, as I booked as a single person and had a large room with a huge bed !
Hotel offers parking services that are paid separately in the vicinity, and that's not true. Parking is located 15 minutes walk from the hotel.
Beautiful room, very nice breakfast, 10mins walk to Duomo. Perfect :)
The toilet in the bathroom..without any walls :O
I liked that there was a bus stop just in front of the hotel
I didn't like that the wifi was not working in my room and i had to sit in the reception. Also, the bathroom was not well equiped
Locatipn is good fast walk to Duomo.
Hotel is obsolet and rooms, bath, windows shall be seriously revamped. AC cannot be remote from the room , only from reception. Dogs allowed in hotel !! The real level ia 2 stars
