The location was great for getting about and staff were friendly and helpfull

I didn't like the fact we had no safe to use in our room as all the safes on floors 6&5 were not in use so spent my holiday worrying about lossing my passport and money as I had to take them with me every time I went out also my wife didn't bring a hairdryer as the room was supposed to have one,to be fair it did but it was broken as was the shower curtain so washing also proved a problem

The staff were very nice and helpful.

200 eur was taken from my room the hotel staff dodnot care about it at all saying that the cleaning lady is an outsourcing worker be carfull as there are no safe in the hotel

No elevator to my floor, staff did not offer to carry my bags up the starir to my room.

Excelent amplasament. 1 minutes to walk to Cavour Metro station. 3 minutes to walk to Coloseum, 5 minutes to walk to Palatin Hill & Roman forum. 10 minutes to walk to Mercato di Traian, Traian Columns and Vittorio Emanuele II. 15 minutes to walk to Piazza Navona - Fontana di Trevi - Piazza Spagna. 10 minutes relax walk to Termini Central Station. 5 minutes to walk to Basilica Santa Maria del Magiore. Just cross the street you arrived to Basilica San Pietro in Vincoli. Verry god breakfast and the best coffe.

The location was excellent - so close to the colosseum and ancient Rome. Friendly staff who were helpfull. Would stay again.

The location is great, there is not need to use the public transport at all. The hotel is authentic, in the old Roman building, you feel as you are one of the locals.

The room was on a sixth floor, and the elevator is up to 5th, so you must use the stairs, which is not so conveniente with a luggage. The room is also very small, so try to have the small suitcase.

The location close to the Colosseum, the Forum - just walking distance. Cavour street is reach of souvenir shops and restaurants. The room was equipped with conditioner - very important during summer period in Rome.

Hotel is located on 2nd and 6th floors of an old and dirty building. No visual signs (very small to recognize). The elevator is terrible, each time you have to keep in mind to manually close internal doors after using it. Elevator climbs up to 5th floor, and if your room is on the 6th - you have to climb one floor yourself - challenge for elder people after long walking trips on Roma streets. Furniture was old, fan in the bathroom was completely destroyed. Once I locked the door to the bathroom - it took me 15 min to unlock it back...

Nothing - this hotel cancelled on us the night before, sending an email that they had booked us into a 'lovely' 3 star hotel with double en suite room in Hotel Doge. So my negative review of this place is tainted by the fact that this 'lovely alternative' was in fact a cesspit beyond comparison, see my review on Hotel Doge for further details

Lot of noise from the streets.

Location. The 'simple beakfast' was slightly better than the socalled 'buffet breakfast' in a certain Florence hotel.

This establishment has not deserved 2 stars. It rather resembles a youth hostel. During our stay hords of very noisy German students were accommodated on our level, who did not let us sleep at night. The breakfast room on floor 6 is not accessable by lift. It cannot accommodate all guests at the same time. We had to wait for more than 15 minutes to find 2 seats in the cramped breakfast room and had only a few minutes left to gobble down the breakfast, before the breakfast room was closed. The antiquated lift has 2 doors and cannot be operated, if only 1 door is left open.

Great location, close to all main attraction and a metro station. Includes nice breakfast, small but comfortable rooms.

Elevator is very small and old, if left open in some floor unable to call it. Breakfast at the 6th floor, elevator only goes until 5th floor. No actual towels in the rooms, towels are like sheets/blankets.

Very central to all the main attractions. The Cavour station is very close.The hotel is very small and can be difficult to find as the sifnboard is very small agaist the wall. The lift can only take one person with luggage. The bathroom is very cramped and I suggest you take your own towels. The double glazed windows kept the city noise out. The breakfast consists of croussants, buns and cornflakes. There was coffee and juice available. The wi-fi does not work but there is a bar around the corner to the left of the hotel that has excellent wi-fi. We enjoyed staying at this hotel and will recommend it to anybody that is looking for locatiion and not luxury. We were surprized to be asked to pay tourist tax so make sure you enquire about it when you book in. There is a fridge with a small friezer to keep food and frieze water. I have tried to give an honest opinion of the hotel so that you are prepared for your stay, but we were ver happy with the hotel.

The only thing we were unhappy about is that were were not told about the tourist tax when we arrived, but was told to pay e4 per room per night on checking out. It was our last stay in Rome and fortunately we had kept some money aside.

Great location. Near the main historical attractions of Rome. The room is clean and spacious. Great hotel for a budget price.

Very old and out of date. Elevator only works if both doors are closed properly, otherwise you have to scale 6 floors to retrieve it. Rooms very old and dank. Would have rather stayed in another hotel if it wasn't for the non-refundable deposit that was asked.

The location of this hotel is great! The Colosseum is just down the road, as can be there in 10 min walk. The Roman Forum, is also 10mins walk away. Everything else is just a walk or metro away. The hotel is basic, but the staff were very helpful, with directions, and how to get around etc.

The lift is very old, so we used the stairs most of the time.. It only goes up to the 5th floor and breakfast is on the 6th! Breakfast is very basic, just juice, tea/coffee and a bread roll etc...

The hotel was not rated very highly from previous guests, so was not expecting a great place to stay. However I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was fine, the location fantqastic, only a 5 min walk from the colleseum, but far enough away with restraurants behind serv ing good food at reasonable prices. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but adequate, but was a bonus anyway and overall coast was very very reasonable. I would stay again if returning.

It has a good location

Roude staff that give wrong direction and information, that caused us nervs, time , money and big problems with the police! Plus the breakfast was awful , the worst i've ever had!

Clean Towels every day. Manager attended promptly to complaint about aircon. Good location.

We are 3 sibblings, & found the price, location, & addition of breadfast good. Good space. Very friendly & helpful staff.

It was in an amazing location, less than a 5 minute walk from the Colosseum and the Forums, it is perfect for young couples or small group and we will definitely be returning there again. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very nice too. It was a continental breakfast though, croissants, bread rolls, cereal, orange juice etc. which we thoroughly enjoyed, though some people may not like this. It was really great value for money overall too. The room was small, but had everything we needed, ie; bed, wardrobe, shower, fridge, safe, air conditioning, TV, hair-dryer, bathroom etc. Overall, it was a perfect hotel for us and we look forward to going there again.
