Hotel Admiral  

Did not realise it was so far (15 mins walk uphill) from the city centre from the booking.com website (said 550 metres) . but area was nice - like an old fishing village - and the walk to centre was fine, so it was ok in the end.

The hotel staff were wonderful.They were friendly and efficient and always eager to help.Most had a good sense of fun.The hotel is small and therefore intimate. Chatting to fellow guests was easy and very natural. Hotel food was of a very good standard. Bedrooms were well furnished and fairly comfortable.

It was a bit disappointing to find that there was no sun at all on the hotel after lunch and the outdoor pool was always in shade which meant the water was cold.Mind you, our stay was in October.

The location was fab! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace was amazing, a lovely place to relax in the sun and enjoy your surroundings.

We booked and paid extra for a room with a seaview which included a balcony. The balcony we got was behind somebody else's balcony so the sea view was only viewable if the people in the other room weren't sitting out enjoying the sea view they had also presumabley paid extra to have! Very dissapointing, room 108 should not be presented as a room with a balcony and seaview as it is extremely misleading. Sitting on the balcony was like sitting in a cage!

The location close to a quiet seaside village.

The staff seemed unfriendly and uninterested. The food offering at breakfast was poor. Thursday night without prior notification the pool/terrace area was closed early for a "gala" dinner.

Great location close to the water and a short walk to town, good food in hotel with great restaurants close buy. Staff arHuLue very friendly and welcoming.

Wonderfully location lovely staff beautifull views.we will be back.

The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable.

The hotel was difficult to access and the rooms should have a bar refrigerator as the weather was hot and it would have been nice to be able to have cold refreshments at our disposal during the night without having to go downstairs to the bar area.

The seafront location is delightful. It is close to the Marina Grande with its lovely beach facilities (for example the Bagna Santa Anna, run by Claudio and his wife, a fantastic cook), nice bars ( such as 'the Five De Leva Sisters') and a selection of restaurants, from the simple to the more sophisticated.

The hotel was in a poor state of repair and in need of having money spent on it. It was very inconvenient not to have the facility to pay for sightseeing trips booked through the hotel by credit card. The taxi transfers to the airport were very expensive, and again, it was inconvenient that we could not settle these on the hotel bill by credit card.

Gorgeous location, very romantic. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful, particularly Francesco. The bottle of champers on arrival was a nice touch!

Hotel room was small, but as we weren't in our room much it didnt matter. Breakfast was a bit poor, plastic cups etc. Reception staff could also do with advising guests of tours/ airport transfers other than just the ones they are affiliated with.

The hotel is quiet as it is located away from roads and noise. Very friendly fishing village with great restaurants and friendly people.

Food not great.

The staff was very helpful to all our needs. They even offered up a better room with a terrific view at no charge. Their suggestion as to where to eat was perfect.

The only negative thing was that the hotel, although very clean, seemed to have been rushed to be finished. All the halls and rooms were white and the walls seemed to need another coat of drywall work before calling it complete. It almost seemed like the contractor that was working on the hotel, skipped out before he finished the walls properly. But then again, I look at these things and others may not even notice or care.
