Did not realise it was so far (15 mins walk uphill) from the city centre from the booking.com website (said 550 metres) . but area was nice - like an old fishing village - and the walk to centre was fine, so it was ok in the end.

The hotel staff were wonderful. They were friendly and efficient and always eager to help. Most had a good sense of fun.The hotel is small and therefore intimate. Chatting to fellow guests was easy and very natural. Hotel food was of a very good standard. Bedrooms were well furnished and fairly comfortable. It was a bit disappointing to find that there was no sun at all on the hotel after lunch and the outdoor pool was always in shade which meant the water was cold.Mind you, our stay was in October.

Location on the water-front, very reasonable price, the swimming pool and friendly atmosphere. Would have preferred to pay a little more for a room with balcony and view as opposed to a standard room.

Hotel Admiral was great. It was clean, everyone was very nice and helpful, the breakfast buffet was nice with the exception of the coffee. It was extremely dark and syrupy and they only had milk, no cream. Darkest coffee I have ever had and I drink dark coffee. I tried a few times and just couldn't drink it. They do have an espresso machine and will make you a good coffee but it's an extra charge. I loved the lobby/bar area. It was large, comfortable and every night there was entertainment. I also loved the pool/deck. It was so relaxing and right above the ocean. My only complaint is the difficulty getting to the hotel and back into the downtown area of Sorrento. It's about a 15 minute walk and it's all uphill. It was quite exhausting after awhile. It would have been nice if there was a shuttle service into town. I have heard there is a bus but I never saw one. It's hard to complain much about it though because the price was excellent and the hotel was nice especially for the price. It was worth the walk. Also, the restaurants along the bay next to the hotel were excellent, especially Delfino's.

Price-Location-View (amazing) is everything This is a modest hotel, Senior Citizens oriented. One of the few hotels where we stayed in Italy with free wi fi (in the lobby area)! One of the staff member gave us an unupdated bus schedule, so we miss the bus.

We liked the price and the location, even if we have to walk climbing stairs for 15 minutes. There is no Wi-Fi in the room and at the lounge it did not work at night.

The location at the Marina Grande is lovely - one of the few hotels in Sorrento actually at sea level. Marina Grande has a number of bars & restaurants which means you don't always have to go into town. We thought that breakfast from 7-9 was a bit of an early finish when you're on holiday and perhaps been out late the night before. Also, the restaurant needs a new bain-marie for the scrambled egg, etc which was invariably only lukewarm temperature as there were only tea-lights to keep it warm. A choice of fruit juice at breakfast would have been nice too.

our room didn,t have a view as it was on the side of the hotel facing the cliff. As we only stayed for 3 days this didn,t matter . the hotel was very confortible and clean and the staff very friendly . my only problem was the lonely road down to the marina. This is best traveled by the local bus. The Marina is small but lovely with plenty of restraunts. All extras like bar food and drink were added to your bill. I prefere to pay as I go when I,m on a budgit.

The location was fab! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace was amazing, a lovely place to relax in the sun and enjoy your surroundings. We booked and paid extra for a room with a seaview which included a balcony. The balcony we got was behind somebody else's balcony so the sea view was only viewable if the people in the other room weren't sitting out enjoying the sea view they had also presumabley paid extra to have! Very dissapointing, room 108 should not be presented as a room with a balcony and seaview as it is extremely misleading. Sitting on the balcony was like sitting in a cage!

Most of the staff was incredibley nice and helpful, especially the front desk reception, Francesco. The view was amazing from our balcony, breakfast was surprisingly good and the entertainment they have at night was enjoyable. Overall, it was very worth the money to stay here, and I would def recommend it to others.

The location close to a quiet seaside village. The staff seemed unfriendly and uninterested. The food offering at breakfast was poor. Thursday night without prior notification the pool/terrace area was closed early for a "gala" dinner.

The staff was mostly extremely friendly and helpful. The location makes it a more relaxing less touristy version of sorrento. The view was incredible. Spending a day sitting on a chair next to the sea and walking to one of the nearby restaurants for meals was a perfect day. The taxi does not go up to the door. A female worker was not friendly. Try to spam as much Italian as possible with them.

The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable. The hotel was difficult to access and the rooms should have a bar refrigerator as the weather was hot and it would have been nice to be able to have cold refreshments at our disposal during the night without having to go downstairs to the bar area.
