Almost impossible to find. Very poor signage.
Carlo was so nice a pleasure to chat with. And the cappuccino in the morning.. incredible!
No alcohol there!
Great hotel, great location, great staff. If one thing, the entrance could be a little clearer marked!
Convenient located near the railway station and walking distance to all tourist attractions. Friendly owner and staffs. Very good spread of breakfast. Excellent value for the amount of money we paid.
Soooooooo close to the station.
Everything ..location..friendly staff..cleanliness..and there is a restaurant with superb tuscani food nearby.. Il portale restaurant..will definitely go back again!
Really efficient female staff Good value for money
Slightly dodgy area next to station
Location close to bus and station and sights and staff very friendly and helpful.
Perfect all the way, we would easily come back and we recommend Arcadia! Thank you for a great stay!
A suggestion: make it clear from the street where the hotel is ( you can easily miss the turn from Alamanni and the plaque on the door downstairs is quite small). But nothing major!
The location of hotel was excellent. We just recommend better signage at entrance as we walked right pass it. The service received by Leonardo was splendid and would definitely use this hotel again
Great staff, very helpful, always greet you with smile and plenty of touristy tips. One member of the staff who stands out is Maria.
Slightly difficult to find. as the sign for the hotel is a small plate in front of the gated door. So look out for Hotel Arcadia flags hanging from second floor that's where the hotel is.
The location to the city and its truly amazing sites was excellent. It was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was difficult to find initially and we got lost. The area looks a bit seedy and we were wary of our location, but due to the traffic of tourists lugging suitcases up and down all the time, it felt safe after a day or so. Breakfast was a little sparce.
Very kind staff. If you are early than breakfast time, you may still get bread and coffee. Location is good, a small supermarket close by. May also borrow hot water pot from front desk
Wifi not stable
great staff hospitality room cleanliness
wifi quality inside the room
Great location. Easy access to train station and places to see.
The hotel entrance.
We were looking for a budget hotel close to the train station Santa Maria Novella and close to the city, getting good service and a great location was a concern but luckily we read some good reviews about this and we made a reservation for a Saturday night stay on our way to Venice. First of all, it's less than 10 min walk from the SMN train station, and just 3 blocks away from the Central market. The lobby is not on the street, you need to enter the building where is located, pass a main gate and on the stairs to the right there's an elevator to the second floor, that's where the lobby is. Maria at the Frontdesk was really charming since we arrived, we got there very early (9:50am) and she kindly prepared an early check in for us in less than 20 mins (no charge), invited us for some traditional breakfast and a spectacular cappuccino. As promised, our room was delivered 20 min later, room was very clean, great smell, very comfortable queen bed with some extra pillows, AC, neat bathroom and a big shower with blue and pink flip flops, spacious closet and enough space to feel at home. After spending one long day out we came back at 11pm on a very safe street and lots of people walking, that was great Back in the room we had our belongings intact (although they have no safe in the room there was nothing missing - really secure), there was no noise coming from the outside and we slept like a rock On our departure date, we had a delicious breakfast: fresh juice, cornettos, smoking delicious cappuccino (I wish I had another before checking out) and again Maria was really kind and welcoming, she and her staff made us felt at home. Upon checkout it only took us 5 minutes on a rush to get back to the train station, so it's very close. I will definitely come back, and will recommend this for anybody. This doesn't have a view to the city but it was exactly what we needed and more. Great price, great service, excellent location.
We stayed in Florence for 1 night (from 3 to 4 of October) and have only positive emotions from this hotel. It has a good location - about 5-7 mins walking from the railway station and about 10-12 mins from the Great Duomo. We had a late check-in (10 p.m.), but informed about it in advance, and everything was ok. Our room was cozy and comfortable, bathroom was clean. Wi-fi worked normally. The staff is friendly and studious. Breakfast, wich was included, was also good. By the way, we had a very worthy and tasty dinner in Trattoria "IL Portale" not far from the hotel. So to my mind, this hotel is the ideal combination price vs. quality. Thanks.
Arrived at night. In the dark, couldn't find the signage. Took us a long time to locate hotel, which is behind a gate and upstairs.
Free Wifi Location near train station Nice breakfast Friendly staff
Rooms looks a bit old and the carpet felt dirty Bathroom is not very clean but acceptable
very clean. staff very helpful. good location. very good price. breakfast was fair. Nice towels and sheets. free bottles of water.
safe did not work. bath a little dated. no kettle in the room
We enjoined our stay at Hotel Arcade. Polite staff, good location, are advantage
Very helpful Staff. Clean, tidy and good quality breakfast
The Hotel was easy to find and a block+ from the main train and bus station entrance. The Hotel Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and more spacious than many Euro- hotel. There was lots of hot water and the wifi worked great as did the ac to cool the place down after a long day of walking. We could not have been pleased with this choice and we walked to all the sights from this location! Great Job Hotel Arcadia!
In the US we are not used to hotels above a store front or one that doesn't have a ground floor entrance. This hotel was close to the train station which was a plus. Really close to everything else as well. Dining room was very nice- staff were helpful and very nice. Coffee was excellent!
Size of the room, but I expected it to be small.
