The hotel entrance.
Arrived at night. In the dark, couldn't find the signage. Took us a long time to locate hotel, which is behind a gate and upstairs.
Free Wifi Location near train station Nice breakfast Friendly staff
Rooms looks a bit old and the carpet felt dirty Bathroom is not very clean but acceptable
very clean. staff very helpful. good location. very good price. breakfast was fair. Nice towels and sheets. free bottles of water.
safe did not work. bath a little dated. no kettle in the room
We enjoined our stay at Hotel Arcade. Polite staff, good location, are advantage
Very helpful Staff. Clean, tidy and good quality breakfast
The Hotel was easy to find and a block+ from the main train and bus station entrance. The Hotel Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and more spacious than many Euro- hotel. There was lots of hot water and the wifi worked great as did the ac to cool the place down after a long day of walking. We could not have been pleased with this choice and we walked to all the sights from this location! Great Job Hotel Arcadia!
In the US we are not used to hotels above a store front or one that doesn't have a ground floor entrance. This hotel was close to the train station which was a plus. Really close to everything else as well. Dining room was very nice- staff were helpful and very nice. Coffee was excellent!
Size of the room, but I expected it to be small.
It was a nice room and close to the train station.
It was hard to find. There are really no signs on the outside, you have to go into a little alley and go up stairs to the 2nd floor to find the hote.
Good breakfast and friendly hostess. Hotel is close to train station but is on the other side of the tourism spots. We are quite happy with our staying.
Bathroom is not safe.
My husband and I traveled with 3 friends to Florence, staying at the Arcadia. We loved it! Very nice breakfast, lovely lobby/breakfast area with a view of the Duomo. Maria at the desk was such a dear - we hugged when we parted! How often do you want to hug the hotel staff? :)
Hotel was a bit tricky to find - the front of the building doesn't look like a hotel. A small Hotel Arcadia sign is near the entry (which looks like a walkway). When you get to the gate, push the button - they'll let you in. You have to go up a few stairs to reach the lift, but it's not too bad. I liked the security feeling of the locked gate. WiFi was "iffy" in our room, but better in the lobby.
good location good service very clean
device is a bit old address is hard to find
Staff very friendly WIFI worked well Very good European breakfast Great location near train station Very reasonable bar prices compared to most places
Entrance difficult to find, small sign at driveway entrance then you need to go through a gate. No shower pan so water just went out on bathroom floor. Ended up making a ledge with bath towels No TV channels broadcasting in English. No safe in room for valuables
Warm welcoming staff, great breakfast, very close to station ideal when we first arrived. Would be difficult to find if not sure of the location as others have commented. Room was close to lobby so wifi reception was good. Nice small simple room.
Drains did not work in shower. Had to shower with minimal water. Staff did their best to resolve the issue but we only found this in the morning. We stayed only one night so do not know whether they were able to resolve the issue.
Clean room, but jammed with furniture so it was not comfortable.
In a sketchy part of town behind the main train station. Located on a second floor and you have enter through a security gate. At least there is a (very small) lift to the lobby.
Convenience to the train station was our main objective. This was definitely close to the train station. The breakfast which was included in the room rate was quite good and had wonderful variety.
The bathrooms were not clean and had clogs in both the shower and sink. Some of the lights didn't work, there was no clock in the room and no safe in the room. The area was just plain scary, and the hotel was difficult to find given that it is part of a large building that has obviously lost its prime. The sign for the hotel is literally about 10 inches by 10 inches, making it very difficult to find.
good location, free wifi and bfast are also good.
The lovely staff really do make this hotel. So kind, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble at all.
Coffee on demand Attentive and courteous staff Cleanliness of room
Toilet facilities and ventilation Hotel facade
Hotel was very close to the train station so no need for taxi to hotel
The location does mean a lot of walking. Doesn't bother me but may bother some people
among the staff was a Romanian girl very helpful and amiable
No wifi in the rooms
I will give this hotel only less than < 1 star not 3 star. why? because the hotel is not good for stay more than 1 day. I did not like the following services - Cleaning - Quality of sleep - WIFI - Electricity inside Room -TV - Bathroom - WIFI in the Kitchen
Very kind staff. Very Responsive! Very close to the station. ... You can trust ARCADIA hotel.
Wifi signal strength if perfect near office area, but rather week inside. Additional AP would improve everything. Outdoor signage of this hotel is smaller than many others... ;-)
Staff extremely polite and helpful. Great breakfast. Old facility but clean While a block off the well beaten path, it was a relatively central location. Good value
The hotel was perfect for my short stay in Florence. Its very close to Santa Maria Novella Stazione. Really nice rooms that are stylishly decorated. Lovely bathroom and shower, clean and very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good.
It took me over half an hour with luggage/ heat etc to find it. I was exactly at the spot where the hotel was marked but the front aspect is a building refurbishment job and at number 35 ( where the hotel is, I could not see anything). Eventually, someone in a local shop told me it was down a side entrance behind some gates. Sure enough it was and there was a small brass sign saying Hotel Arcadia. However, it was not obvious unless you scanned closely. I was frustrated with luggage and heat and a long time to find a hotel 5 minutes from the station. Perhaps the hotel should warn people of this.
