- Free parking, quick check-in, large room, air conditioning, good breakfast, great value, and friendly staff. I have traveled quite a bit in Europe and this was one of the best values I've found near a major tourist city. Don't expect a 5 star hotel, but the room was far more than adequate for the price. |

We had to make a quick stop for one night near Florence and Hotel Alex was very comfortable and worth it. Having a parking available was a plus point. |

The friendly and helpful staff.The Breakfast was very good.Parking is in adjacent hotel lot and takes about 10 cars. They were renovating.mosquitos.It was a bit out of the downtown centre..but by car no problem. |

The hotel was close to a bus stop that takes you to the main bus terminal. Large shopping centre nearby. The room smelt of a mixture of smells, smoke amoungst them for a non-smoking room. We mentioed this to the desk staff and nothing was done. Two desk staff were unhelpful and where not particularly interested in being in this industry. |

All in all the stay was ok. But it isn't ok that there only is one chair for two persons! That the lift for a short moment came to a standstill didn't get the receptionist to be standing! Attention! |

The reception and breakfast staff were terrific - though they spoke little English, they were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was simple but the variety was adequate - the coffee was excellent. Rooms were spacious, as well as the bathrooms. The Italian restaurant next door offers a discount to hotel guests and served the best Italian food we'd ever tasted. One of the two non-smoking rooms we booked had a rather strong smell of cigarette smoke. The room facing the road was a little noisy but it wasn't a problem. No English channels on TV. |
