Staff v nice, clean, nice surroundings and garden.

Food wasnt that good.

The hotel was friendly and clean,breakfasts were adequate.

I thought the restaurant was far to brightly lite for an evening meal.We only had 1 dinner there but it felt quite rushed the waiters served at top speed we finished 3 courses in just over an hour, thats a record for us& not at all relaxing !Walls mainly painted white which gave a avery clinical feel ! !Dim those lights,buy some candles,play abit of nusic slooow down,as food was nice!

It is quite a large hotel, but still they are able to give you an intimite feeling; you feel very welcome in the hotel. Sorrento is very nearby which is nice and it's also nice to drive around the area.

Lovely hotel family owned with a superb staff, everyone of whom was friendly and attentive. We chose the bed, breakfast and dinner option and were very pleased we did. The meals are excellent with plenty of choice and some traditional Italian dishes. The head waiter Salvatore is outstanding, Italian charm coupled with "un-Italian" efficiency. The rooms were spacious, beautifully kept, with excellent bathrooms. There is a reasonable sized pool surrounded by lovely gardens. The hotel is just out of Sorrento, which pleased us, but close enough to reach it either by bus or train within 15 minutes. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a stay.

The only problem we had was with the air conditioning, which we found inadequate at times. It is not individually controlled; at times it is switched off and we were not able to put the temperature down, even when it was operating, to as low as we would have liked.

It is situated in a quiet peaceful location. Access to Sorrento or Naples, Pompeii or Ercolano is easy using Circumvesuviana Rainway. 4 Euro to Naples Piazza Garibaldi and Centrale Stations. The staff are all kind and helpful, speak English and are only concerned with making your stay a comfortable and enjoyable one. San Agnello is a small working sjuburb of Sorrento, but there are many everyday shops, should you need anything, nothing stylish, go to Sorrento for that. I cannot recommend the Hotel Alpha enough for peace, quiet and service.

Getting to other places was simple, but not on the spot.

Nice ambiance and quiet location

Spurious drinks charged to our room we did not have, no laundry facilities except for expensive hotel service. Only suitable for short breaks really would not recommend for long term holiday as not enough facilities.

The hotel has a friendly feel and the rooms are very comfortable and reasonably priced. The hotel is in sant agnello which is a quiet suburb of Sorrento and 25 minutes walk away from Sorrento. The breakfast was very nice and lots to choose from and the staff were very friendly.

The location is 25 mins walk or 5 mins in a taxi which costs 25 euro per trip, very expensive. I think the hotel should change its policy on sunbed saving as every morning there were sunbeds saved with towels on for almost the whole day and nobody on them, this is really an issue when you consider that italy does not have good sandy beaches.

Nice friendly hotel in a good location with good links to Sorrento and Naples. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them and all speak English Clean rooms, and a very good choice of breakfast Special mention about Salvatore the Head Waiter if you want to experience customer service second to none!

You are unable to swim after 7.00pm at night

The staff in all areas of the hotel performed their duties faultlessly and were always cheerful and very helpful.Salvatore,who runs the restaurant,was outstanding.His years of experience and attention to detail ensure the smooth running of the resturant.He is a true professional.Upgrading to half board was the best decision we have ever made !

I would have preferred to settle my bar bill nightly using cash instead of paying it at the end of the week with my credit card.

Super hotel lovely pool and excellent breakfasts. Our young daughter was poorly and the staff could not of been more helpful. They really took care of us arranging a medical appointment etc. The staff were so kind our recovered daughter is insisting we return next year to see all her new friends

From the moment we started our holiday the staff were very friendly, professional and approachable.We were impressed with the cleanliness of the whole hotel and especially the daily cleaning of our room. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the attentive staff were very friendly and organised.

An excellent Hotel close enough to Sorrento for convenience, but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Excellent friendly staff, clean and well appointed. First class food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ideally suited for travel to local attractions.

Good location,great breakfast

We have just returned from a weeks stay at The Hotel Alpha. We travelled in a party of 8 as a family with children and a grandparent - the hotel suited us all. The food was excellent every night with a very good varied menu and there was a good buffet breakfast as well. The rooms were clean and well appointed - we did not like the location of our room on arrival and the next day reception allocated us another room on the second floor which was lovely with a beautiful mountain view. The location is great for travelling around - the station is just a few minutes walk - there is also a supermarket and a few shops close by too. sorrento is only a couple of minutes on the train and they run every half hour. the other way is Pompei, Vesuvio,Hercalaneum - all easy to reach. The pool is lovely set in the gardens full of orange and lemon trees with a paddling pool for the younger ones. One of the main features of this hotel are the staff - they are all fantastic and make you feel most welcome - it has the family run feeling to it !

Perhaps a table tennis table or pool table would be good as extra entertainment.

Staff were extremely helpful, in particular the restaurant staff. The food was delicious, evening meal was top restaurant standard with a great choice. Location was quieter than Sorrento itself and the local bars were friendly and very reasonable. Our room was the only one on the top floor with panoramic mountain views and the bathroom was brand new with a fantastic walk in shower and double sinks. Pool area had plenty of sunbeds and was surrounded by lovely gardens.

Lack of English channels on the tv and the bar atmosphere was a bit dull in the evenings, but you can always go out! The roof top terrace was just an empty space with no chairs or sunbeds.

Hôtel propre. Grande chambre avec terrasse/balcon. Petits déjeuners style buffet très complet. Personnel accueillant. Situé un peu à l'écart de Sorrento, mais quand même facile d'accès. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Stationnement payant (cher), mais possibilité de stationner dans la rue en achetant billet. Option beaucoup moins chère que l'hôtel, lorsque places disponibles sur la rue.

Sans vraiment de charme, établissement populaire auprès de groupes organisés.

Davvero piacevole il soggiorno. Ottima struttura immersa nel verde con personale altamente professionale e cordiale. Pulizia camere ineccepibile. Colazione internazionale, davvero all'altezza di un 4 stelle!!!! Assolutamente da consigliare!!!!!!!!!

Les serveurs sont d'un professionnalisme remarquable et d'une gentillesse touchante notamment avec les enfants. Super piscine.

Chambre triple trop petite vu le prix. Quelques dysfonctionnements (baignoire, bas de porte de salle de bain).

La dimension de l'hotel le rend familial et l'attention du personnel de tous les instants a fait la différence. La proximité de la côte en fait un endroit idéal pour découvrir Sorente, pompei et Capri. Le petit-déjeuner en formule "bar" était copieux et délicieux. A recommander
